Gary Spencer
WYNNE — Gary Spencer, 41, of Wynne died Thursday, Oct. 25.
Mr. Spencer was employed with Hays Food Town at Wynne as a meat cutter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing baseball and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Sanders Spencer; parents, Ellis and Shirley Spencer and Evelyn and Eddie Moreno; sons, Timothy and Tye Spencer; stepdaughters, Brandy Moore, Mandy Fitts and Anna Hudson; three brothers; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Thompson-Wilson Wynne Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8 in the funeral home, (870) 238-9400.
Angel Michelle Timms
CARAWAY — Angel Michelle Timms, infant daughter of Chad and Paula Timms of Caraway, died Oct. 27, 2007, at Little Rock.
Survivors include her parents, Chad and Paula Timms and sister, Ashton Timms, all of the home; four grandparents, Robert and Chyral Adcock of Caraway, Gary Timms of Lake City and Brenda Fletcher of Jonesboro; four great-grandparents, Paul and Nadine Martin of Caraway, Dorothy Timms and Joyce Fletcher, both of Lake City; and a host of other family members.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Nolen Timms, J.C. Fletcher, Elmer Williams Jr., Amos Adcock and Evelyn Adcock Tucker.
Graveside services will be Monday, Oct. 29, at 11 a.m. in Caraway Cemetery
at Caraway with Rick Stevens officiating. Faith Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will include Gary Timms, Ryan Timms, Robert Adcock and Shannon Adcock.

Martha Venable
BONO — Martha Venable, 67, of Bono passed away on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at NEA Medical Center.
Mrs. Venable was born at Bono on Dec. 24, 1939, to Ralph and Edith Pfeifer. She was retired from General Electric.
Venable was a loving mother to two sons, Lyndle James and Mark James, both of Bono. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Jason James, Zachary James and Madison James; two great-grandchildren, Devon Little and Landon James; a sister, Patsy Holman of Cash; and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Venable; a sister, Joyce Smith; and a brother, David Pfeifer.
Graveside funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. in Trinity Cemetery
with Paul Clark officiating under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

JONESBORO — Gary Watkins, 68, of Jonesboro passed away on Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at St. Bernards.

Ruth Opal White
CHEROKEE VILLAGE — Ruth Opal Harkey White, 97, of Cherokee Village, formerly of Marked Tree, passed away Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at her home in Cherokee Village.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 tonight in Roller-Citizens Funeral Home at West Memphis. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Neiswander Baptist Church at Marked Tree with interment following at Marked Tree Cemetery.
Mrs. White, a homemaker, was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion F. White.
She is survived by four daughters, Maxine Talley of Marked Tree, Amy Blysma of Washington, Mo., Carolyn Carroll of Mountain View and Mildred Carroll of Cherokee Village; son, Jerry W. White of Cherokee Village; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Wilma Wright
MAYNARD — Wilma Wright, 88, passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, at Five Rivers Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lehman Wright; one brother; and one sister.
She is survived by one niece, Margaret Soles of Maynard, three nephews, Carroll Parker of Forrestel, Mo., Joe Parker of Cedar Hill, Mo., and Kelly Odom of Jonesboro; several great-nieces and -nephews; and one great-great.
Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 in McNabb Funeral Home.
Service will be Monday at 11 a.m. with Bill Goode officiating. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery.

Donald Elphingstone
NEWPORT — Donald Henry Elphingstone, 70, of Newport died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007.
He was born April 19, 1937, at Lagrange, the son of Aubrey and Madge Howe Elphingstone.
Mr. Elphingstone is survived by one grandchild, James Donald Elphingstone; five brothers, Scott Elphingstone of Dallas, Paul Elphingstone of Paragould, Joe Elphingstone of Forrest City, Jerm Elphingstone of Little Rock and Gene Elphingstone of Houston, Texas; one sister, Nancy Elphingstone of Conway; 12 nieces and nephews; and 22 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home.
William Cloys Maddox
June 10, 1943-Dec. 21, 2007
LEPANTO — William Cloys Maddox, 64, of Lepanto died Friday at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Born at Gideon, Mo., he was a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlisle Maddox and Maybell White; two brothers; two sisters; and one grandchild.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Maddox; four daughters; one son; three sisters; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be today at 2 p.m. in Etowah Pentecostal Church of God with Huey Mcherg officiating. Burial will be in Potter Cemetery
at Lepanto.
Visitation was held Saturday.

Kellie Robyn Mealer
PARAGOULD — Kellie Robyn Mealer, 29, of Paragould died Friday, Dec. 21, at UAMS at Little Rock.
She was born March 11, 1978, at Jonesboro.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Crystal Rose Mealer; and her grandparents, Elbert and Myrtle Clayton and Claude and Dorothy Mealer.
She is survived by her parents, Larry and Sheila Mealer; sister, Faith Bass, all of Paragould; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. today in Heath Funeral Home.
Her life will be celebrated today at 3 p.m. in Heath Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Faulkner officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery.

Mildred Arnett
LITTLE ROCK — Mildred Arnett, 83, died peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at Little Rock.
She was born March 1, 1924, at Beedeville, the first-born child and only daughter of James Elmer and Annie Elizabeth Kemp Holbrook.
Mrs. Arnett graduated from Beedeville High School in 1943. A member of “The Greatest Generation,” she supported the war effort by working as a “Detonator Gal” making bomb detonators at the ordnance plant at Jacksonville.
She and Henry Arnett married on Jan. 22, 1944. Devoted to her home and family, she was a greatly loved mother, grandmother, homemaker, Sunday school teacher and hospital volunteer.
Arnett was a wonderful cook and a talented seamstress. She was proud to be a 10-year cancer survivor as well.
Arnett was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Henry Arnett; father, James Elmer Holbrook, in 1976; mother, Annie Holbrook, in 1991; and two brothers, James Clifton Holbrook in 1962 and Burley Steven Holbrook in 2003.
Arnett is survived by her two children, Boyce Henry Arnett and wife Mary Ann of Searcy and Brenda Kay Arnett Garcia and husband Frank of Laredo, Texas; four grandchildren, Jan Arnett Vance of Chattanooga, Tenn., Rodney Tiffee of Branson, Mo., Jon Arnett of Memphis and Shelley Tiffee Angon of Austin, Texas; nine great-grandchildren, Kyle Tiffee, Rachel Tiffee, Caroline Vance, Mary Catherine Vance, Charlotte Vance, Ellie Arnett, Carson Arnett, Molli Arnett and Grey Arnett; two brothers, David Leroy Holbrook of Jonesboro and Norman Glynn Holbrook of Little Rock; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today in Holden Avenue Church of Christ. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jon Arnett, Mike Arnett, Steve Arnett, Rodney Tiffee, Kyle Tiffee and Norman “Buzz” Holbrook.
