W. Allen Cheesman
WHITE HALL — W. Allen Cheesman, 46, of White Hall died June 23, 2008.
He was born Oct. 4, 1961, in Pine Bluff to Sam and Phyllis Cheesman and grew up there, attending Trinity Episcopal School, Jefferson Preparatory School and Hendrix College. He attended graduate school at North Texas State University, returning to Pine Bluff in 2000.
On May 25, 1991, he married Susan South, daughter of Ray and the late Wilma Walton South of Piggott, and had three children, William, Michelle and Melanie.
Survivors include his wife and children; father, Dr. Sam Cheesman; sisters, Bea Cheesman and Cara Barrentine; four nephews; and brother-in-law, Jeff Barrentine.
He was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church.
Funeral services were held June 28.
Linne Mosley Cosbey
GOSNELL — Mrs. Linne Mosley Cosbey, 74, of Gosnell died Sunday.
She leaves her husband, R.W. Cosbey of Gosnell; children, James Norman Byrd (Bernice) of Gosnell, Rebecca Johnson (Terry) of Clarksville, Tenn., and Robert W. and Joyce Cosbey of Finger, Tenn.; brother, Willard Mosley of Gosnell; and sister, Carol Lee Mosley of Gosnell; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel at Blytheville with burial following in Dogwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 this evening in Cobb Funeral Home at Blytheville.
Justin Paul Dixon
HOT SPRINGS — Justin Paul Dixon, 87, of Hot Springs-Hot Springs Village, died peacefully Tuesday, July 1, 2008.
He was totally independent, determined and vibrant up to his initial hospitalization in December of 2007, and most recently in May. He was preceded in death by two sons, Danny and Jeff Dixon; and a daughter, Rhonda.
Born in Arkansas Dec. 27, 1920, he served as a Marine in World War II and worked for the St. Louis Southwestern Railroad Co. for 42 years stationed in Jonesboro, Weiner, Brinkley, Pine Bluff and Blytheville. He was a member of Kiwanis Clubs prior to moving to Hot Springs Village in 2000. He attended Village United Methodist Church but was a lifelong member of Community of Christ Church in Jonesboro and most recently in Hot Springs.
He is survived by Phyllis and Bruce Phillips (daughter and son-in-law) of Hot Springs.
The body will be cremated. There will be a graveside service at 10 a.m. Friday in CedarVale Cemetery
at Hot Springs Village.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the Literacy Council of Garland County, Garland County Library or Teen Challenge of Arkansas.

Gary Bryan Harvey Jr.
JONESBORO — Gary Bryan Harvey Jr., 27, of Jonesboro, died Sunday morning July 6, 2008, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 4, 1980, in Jonesboro. He lived in the Jonesboro area all of his life. He worked as a general labor for Raider Tire in Jonesboro. He was of the non-denominational faith.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his father, Gary Bryan Harvey Sr. of Jonesboro; mother, Betty Jo Rains Rousey and her husband, Dennis, of Jonesboro; one daughter, Taylor Madison Harvey of Houston Texas, and her mother, Kaytie Harley; two brothers, Matt Rousey and Chris Lawrence, both of Jonesboro; maternal grandparents, Larry Lawrence of Ash Flat and Kathleen Lawrence of Jonesboro, and Blanny and Mary Katherine Rains of Jonesboro.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 10 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Emil Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery
with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers will be Brandon Parnell, Brent Watkins, Jerry Watkins, Edward Watkins, Heath Neldon, William Pendergraff and Jeremy Rickard.
Honorary pallbearers will include Clint Mitchell, Levin Mitchell and Aaron Pratt.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5-7 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

Ruby Hiett
PLAISTOW, N.H. — Ruby Chambers Hiett, 95, one of 11 children, died June 28 at the Oxford in Haverhill, Mass.
Mrs. Hiett was married for 18 years to late William H. Hiett. Educated in Arkansas, Mrs. Hiett supported her family working 34 years at the Goldsmith Department Store in Memphis.
Mrs. Hiett found great pleasure in flowers and enjoyed tending her garden. She also enjoyed sewing for her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Betty Jo Allen and husband Eugene of Western Springs, Ill., Billie Jean Tennison and husband Neil of Corpus Christie, Texas, and Donna H. Sullivan of Plaistow, N.H.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Jewell Fowler of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to the memorial service Thursday at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Haverhill. Interment at Walnut Cemetery. Arrangements by Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main St., Haverhill.

NEWPORT — Emmer Little, 71, of Newport died Monday.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Little of Van Buren; sons, Mark Thomas Nance Sr. of Van Buren, Adron Nance of Newport, Ricky Jo Nance of Alabama, Dan Nance of Colorado and Timmy Nance of Fort Smith; brothers, Grady Jones, Jessie Wayne Jones and O’Dell Jones, all of McCrory and Dennis Michael Jones of McClellan; sisters, Darlene Seaton of McCrory and Rosie Skinner of Augusta; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Woodman Cemetery
at McCrory. Arrangements are by Dillinger Funeral Home.

BLYTHEVILLE — Mrs. Rhonda Muye, 55, of Blytheville died Saturday, July 5 at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.
She leaves her husband, Ronnie Muye of Blytheville; two sisters, Barbara Odom of Nashville, Tenn., and Elizabeth Rice of West Memphis; and her best friend, Tammy Short of Half Moon.
Funeral services will be private. Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville is in charge of arrangements.
Shelly Pulliam
NEWPORT — Shelly Pulliam, 67, of Newport died Sunday.
He was born April 5, 1941, at Balch, the son of James and Erma Weaver Pulliam.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Sue Pulliam; son, Jon Pulliam and wife, Breezy, of Conway; daughter, Cindy Gates and husband, Freddy, of Newport; sister, Nettie Honey and husband, Tillman of Marion; and grandsons, Will, Drew and Grey Pulliam.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Holden Avenue Church of Christ. Interment will be in Balch-Johnston Cemetery.
Visitation will be this evening from 5-8 at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home.
Mildred Ruth Reynolds
HICKORY RIDGE — Mildred Ruth Martin Reynolds, 85, of Hickory Ridge died July 5, 2008 at her home.
Survivors include her children, Otis Reynolds, Christine Imboden and Pearl Mann, all of Hickory Ridge, Otto Reynolds of Beedeville, and Amanda White of Newport; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Hickory Ridge Church of Christ with burial in Eight Mile Cemetery.
Visitation will be this evening from 6-8 in Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home at McCrory.
Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hickory Ridge Church of Christ.

BLYTHEVILLE — R.B. Riggs, 79, of Blytheville died Monday, July 7 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He leaves his wife of 561/2 years, Annie Louise Handley Riggs; and his son, Gary Riggs, both of Blytheville; his brother, Kenneth Wayne “Butch” Riggs (Brenda) of Poughkeepsie; grandchildren, Keith Riggs, Kimberley Henson, Keena Mosley and Shane Geiser; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Cobb Funeral Home at Blytheville with visitation from noon until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

GOSNELL — Mrs. Linda Knight Sanders, 59, of Gosnell died Saturday, July 5 at her home.
Graveside services will be held this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. in Sandy Ridge Cemetery
at Burdette with visitation from 1–3 prior to the service in Cobb Funeral Home at Blytheville.

Survivors include his children, Felecia Fife of Fayetteville, N.C., Sharonda Taylor of Grand Blanc, Mich., Tamika Scott of Sewell, N.J., Talaysha Dancy of Osceola and Cory Anderson of Mount Morris, Mich.; siblings Mitcheree Johnson, James, Bobby and Larry Scott and Tommy Scott, all of Michigan, Sam Scott of Alabama, Gladys Hill, Vera Robinson, Levella Reeves and William Howard, all of Osceola; and four grandchildren.
Services will be Friday morning at 11 at Wilson Funeral Home with burial in Whiteside Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-8 at the funeral home.
