Liberty Rose Vallance

HARDY — Infant Liberty Rose Vallance of Hardy died Sunday, July 20.

Liberty Rose was preceded in death by her brother, Benjamin Ray Vallance; and maternal great-grandmother, Lottie Vallance.

She is survived by her mother, Heather Marie Vallance of Hardy; father, Stephen Stewart of Swifton; paternal grandparents, Larry Stewart of Swifton and Janice Kindrick of Cherokee Village; maternal grandparents, Terry and Anita Vallance of Searcy; maternal great-grandfather, Timothy L. Vallance of Hardy; and aunt, Renee Vallance of Hardy.

Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Monday in Hosey Cemetery at Knobel with arrangements by Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home.

Charles Alan Webster

BLACK ROCK — Charles “Chuck” Webster, 46, died Tuesday, July 22, at his residence.

He is survived by his parents, Melvin and Carolyn Green Webster; children, Kimberly Mamcel, Angela Goddard, Chloe Brown and Eric Goddard; a special pet, Heidi; sisters, Cathy Couch, Laurie Moore, Mary Beasley, Denise Priddy, Penny Riley and C.J. Webster; brother, Marion Webster; three grandchildren; and many other friends and family.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in New Life Full Gospel Church at Black Rock with Jimmy Huskey and Monroe Baldwin officiating. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be this evening from 6-8 in House-Gregg Funeral Home at Walnut Ridge.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.

Lela Catherine Brasher

OSCEOLA — Lela Catherine Brasher, 84, of Osceola died on Thursday, July 24, 2008, at her residence after an extensive illness.

Born Nov. 19, 1924, in Mississippi to the late Scott Montgomery and Lucida Hickman Montgomery, Mrs. Brasher was a lifelong area resident, member of First Baptist Church at Keiser, and retired owner of 25 years with Osceola Furniture Mart.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Ellison Cleveland “E.C” Brasher of Osceola; one daughter, Carolyn Little of Seal Beach, Calif.; one son, Travis Brasher of Osceola; two grandsons; three granddaughters; and one great-grandson.

Mrs. Brasher was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gail Brasher; one sister; and two brothers.

Funeral service will be Monday at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church at Keiser with the Rev. Todd Vinson officiating. Burial will follow in Rivercrest Gardens Cemetery at Marie. Pallbearers will be members of First Baptist Church.

The family will receive visitors Monday from noon until service time in the church. Faith Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Keiser.

Troy D. Eversoll

June 25, 1939-July 23, 2008

GLENCOE — Troy D. Eversoll, 69, of Glencoe died Wednesday at his residence.

Born at Alcoa to Melvin and Lula Martin Eversoll, he was a machinist and a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon of the home; son, Mitchell Eversoll of Whitesboro, Texas; daughters, Teresa Williams of Minden, La., Karen Henry of Searcy and Samantha Spurlock of Viola; sister, Fern Woodard of Imboden; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be Sunday afternoon at 2 in Tri-County’s Highland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Turkey Pea Cemetery with military honors.

Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5-7 in the funeral home.

Wilbert Garrett

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Wilbert Garrett, 93, of Kansas City, formerly of Wynne, died Sunday, July 20, 2008.

He was born at Short Bend to the late Sam and Jessie Garrett. A sister, Jenny V. “Mama Jenny” Hinton of Wynne, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Garrett; one son; and three daughters.

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Second Baptist Church at Madera, Calif.

Jason F. Isenbletter

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Jason F. Isenbletter, 31, of Springfield passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2008.

He was born Jan. 10, 1977, in Fort Campbell, Ky., to Pamela N. and Dale F. Isenbletter.

Survivors are his mother, Pam and husband Jimmy E. Jones Jr.; father, Dale and wife Brenda Janine Isenbletter; sister, Karessa A. Isenbletter, including family from Northeast Arkansas.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be Sunday from 4-6 p.m. in the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 West Missouri EE (Division). All family and friends are welcome to come and celebrate Jason’s life.

Dorris Keeton

MORTON — Mrs. Dorris “Tootsie Neal” Keeton of Morton departed this life Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at her home at the age of 76.

She was born June 23, 1932, at Morton, the daughter of Oscar Neal and Manervia Watkins Neal.

Dorris was a retired secretary from Farm Bureau and enjoyed sewing and making quilt tops that she quilted by hand on her own quilting frames. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with friends and family. She was member of Morton Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Forrest “Pat” Keeton; two brothers, Charles A. Neal and Franklin Neal; and two sisters, Lucy Mae Raymond and Mary Linhart.

She is survived by two sons, Harley Lewis Keeton and wife Linda of Harrisburg, and Terry Keeton of the home; one brother, Ernest “Bo” Neal of Turlock, Calif.; six nieces, Brenda Powell, Tammy Powell, Kim Powell, Peggy Conway, Kristy Kendrick and Diane Immell, all of McCrory, who quickly stepped in as caregivers and took turns staying around the clock throughout her illness; and a special friend, Barbara Wampler, who brought food from her kitchen to help feed Dorris and her caregivers.

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. today in Ephesus Church at McCrory with the Rev. Donnie Jones officiating.

Friends may visit at the church from noon until service time.

A private interment will be held later by family members. Weston Funeral Service of Harrisburg is in charge of services.

Betty Kelly

BONO — Betty Jean Kelly, 63, of Bono, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at St. Bernards Medical Center at Jonesboro.

Born at Patterson, N.J., Betty lived in Pennsylvania and Texas before moving to Jonesboro in 1980. She was a school teacher at Eastside Baptist Academy in Jonesboro for 13 years and a Tupperware executive manager for 26 years.

Betty was a faithful member of Eastside Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and served in many capacities. She was a graduate of Manahath School of Theology in Hollidaysburg, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lemuel and Charlotte Loveless Hall; and father-in-law, George Kelly.

Survivors include her husband, Darryl J. Kelly of the home; her daughter, Shawna Kelly of Lakeland, Tenn.; two sons and daughter-in-law, Darryl J. II and Rebecca Kelly of Cordova, Tenn., and James Kelly of Jonesboro; a sister, Nancy Sperlazzo of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Robert Hall and Thomas Hall, both of Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren, Darryl J. Kelly III, Kathryn Kelly and Jack Kelly.

She is also survived by her mother-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Douglas Ferris officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery at Bono.

Pallbearers will be Alan Emmons, Greg Hogg, Macky Moore, Gary Furnish, Tim Miller and Kyle Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb Edgar, Ralph Hawes, Phil Hetler, Jimmy Hogg, Dempsey Slinkard, Kalyb Tribble and James Virgin.

Visitation will be held this evening from 6-8 in Emerson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that consideration for memorials be given to Eastside Baptist Church, 2821 Forest Home Road, Jonesboro 72401.

William ‘Bill’ Long

TRUMANN — William “Bill” Long, 52, of Trumann died Thursday, July 24, 2008, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital.

He had lived in Trumann for the past 15 years, moving there from Jonesboro.

Bill is survived by his parents, James L. and Inez Long of Jonesboro; and one sister, Debbie Veteto and her husband Darrell of Jonesboro.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Pine Log Cemetery with Randy Lingenfelter officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge. There will be no public visitation.
