Nina Chapman
HICKORY RIDGE — Nina C. Chapman, 87, of Hickory Ridge died Tuesday, Aug. 19, at her son’s residence in Louisiana.
She was born Nov. 28, 1921, at St. Charles, the daughter of Wilbur A. and Myrtle West Kemp.
Nina was preceded in death by her husband, Fendol Chapman; parents; and three brothers.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Chapman of Carencro, La., and Steve Chapman of Hickory Ridge; one sister; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10 in Thompson-Wilson Wynne Funeral Home with interment in Johnson Cemetery.
Visitation will be this evening from 6-8 in the funeral home.

JONESBORO — Lelen Douglas, 76, of Jonesboro died Thursday morning at his home.
Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced by Emerson Funeral Home.
Rick Edington
DATTO — Rick Edington, 55, of Datto died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008.
Mr. Edington was mayor of Datto and worked for Allison Construction.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Edington of the home; sons, Jimmy Edington of Fort Drum, N.Y., and Jeremy Edington of Datto; grandson, Tyler Edington of Paragould; brother, James Edington of Reyno; and sisters, Kaffie Smith of Pocahontas and Arminda Kohlbrecher of Abilene, Texas.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in Ermert Funeral Home with Roger Hovis officiating. Burial will be in Johnston Cemetery
at Reyno.
Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6-9 in the funeral home.
Nancy Chance Hunter
JONESBORO — Nancy Chance Hunter, 54, of Jonesboro passed away at her home on Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, of natural causes.
Nancy was in law enforcement for 25 years. She was a patients’ rights advocate and member of the Rotary Club of Eureka Springs. Nancy was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 15 years, Sean Hunter of the home; her parents; a brother; and a sister.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Langford-Bookout Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Wood officiating. Langford-Bookout Funeral Home is assisting the family with these arrangements.
Family will be receiving friends after the service in the funeral home.

Troy Lynn Kelems
CARAWAY — Troy Lynn Kelems, 51, of Caraway, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, at his home near Caraway.
A native and lifelong resident of Caraway, Troy was a retired police officer for the city. He served 21 years in law enforcement and held more than 50 certificates in law enforcement training.
Troy was a member of First Baptist Church in Caraway and a 27-year member of the Caraway Masonic Lodge where he served as Worshipful Master in 1987. He was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Kelems; his father, Elmer Kelems; his brother, Pearly Ray Kelems; and his stepfather, Lonnie Hall.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Stallings Kelems of the home; two sons, Jonathan and his wife Jennifer Kelems, and Justin Kelems and his fiancée Courtney Thomas, all of Caraway; his mother, Flossie Hall of Caraway; three brothers, Ricky Kelems and Roy Kelems, both of Caraway, and Robert Hall of Monette; two sisters, Melvina Richeson of Fort Smith and Doris Farmer of Trumann; one granddaughter, Hailey Kelems of Caraway; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Geneva Stallings of Jonesboro.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 in First Baptist Church at Caraway with the Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Caraway Cemetery
under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will include Tyrone Koons, Glenn Boone, Asa Boatman, Terry Couch, Tim Brickell and Kenneth Faulkner.
Honorary pallbearers will include Shannon Kelems, Jason Kelems, Chris Kelems, Shawn Kelems and Dustin Kelems.
Visitation will be held this evening beginning at 6 in First Baptist Church at Caraway.
Bobby G. McLeod
MISHAWAKA, Ind. — Bobby G. McLeod, 80, passed away in his home on Monday, Aug. 18.
Bobby was born Oct. 28, 1927, at Black River Bottoms to James and Maggie East McLeod.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and four brothers.
On Dec. 9, 1950, at Brookland, he married Bobbie Stalcup, who preceded him in death June 1, 2004.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen Pletcher of Mishawaka; son, Gary (Keli) McLeod of Winona Lake, Ind.; four grandchildren, Stephanie Slaton, Austin McLeod, Mason McLeod and Jayden McLeod; a great-grandchild, Amanda Slaton; niece, Laura (Charles) Myers; and many other nieces and nephews in Indiana and Arkansas.
He retired from Uniroyal in 1989. Bobby enjoyed bluegrass music and spending time in his garden.
Funeral services will be held today at 1 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 West Eighth St., Mishawaka, with the Rev. Erv Mize officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at Osceola, Ind.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made for Bobby to the charity of the donor’s choice.

ASH FLAT — Mary Edna Neeley, 91, died Thursday at Ash Flat Convalescent Center.
Born at Evening Shade, Edna was a homemaker and a member of Ash Flat Church of Christ.
She is survived by one daughter, Janet Ann Powell of Hardy; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Jeanne Mann and Polly Powell.
Visitation is Saturday night from 5-8 in Higginbotham Funeral Chapel at Hardy.
A funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in Ash Flat Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Wiles Cemetery
at Ash Flat under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Services of Hardy.
Gloria Florine O’Roark
MAUMELLE — Gloria Florine O’Roark, 88, of Maumelle, formerly of Marked Tree, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at Arkansas Hospice Center at Little Rock.
She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Marked Tree.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank O’Roark; her parents, Lee and Mary Carpenter; a brother, Esco Carpenter; and a daughter, Carol McDermott.
Mrs. O’Roark is survived by a daughter, Nancy West and son-in-law Gary of Maumelle; four grandchildren, Lea Shannon Kelley and Frank McDermott of Cayee, Miss., Terri Weir, Karen and husband Joe Colford of Maumelle; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 9:30-11 a.m. in Murphy Funeral Home at Marked Tree.
A graveside service will follow at 11 in Marked Tree cemetery with Pastor James Strait officiating.
The family extends a special “thank you” to the nurses of Pleasant Valley Living Center, the nurses on the 4th floor Northwest of St. Vincent’s Infirmary and the Arkansas Hospice nurses.

Charles Aubrey Pinkston
MARKED TREE — Charles Aubrey Pinkston, 68, of Marked Tree died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, in Baptist East Hospital at Memphis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. He served his country in the Army and Arkansas National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Polly Pinkston of the home; one son, Bill Pinkston of Horn Lake, Miss.; one brother, Bud Pinkston of Harrisburg; two sisters, Vera Gean of Maynard and Virginia Wilson of Horn Lake; and one grandchild.
Visitation is tonight from 6-8 in Murphy Funeral Home at Marked Tree.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Phillip Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow in Marked Tree Cemetery.

JONESBORO — Charles Leroy Russell I, 62, of Jonesboro died Wednesday evening, Aug. 20.
He had lived in the Trumann area all of his life and loved hunting, fishing and playing the guitar.
He is survived by his children, Leroy (Angela) Russell, Clinton (Shelly) Russell and Ruby Russell, all of Jonesboro, and Karen (Kevin) White of Marion; brothers, Bill Russell and Earl Ray McKinney; 12 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Escey Floyd Russell; daughter, Bobbie Long; one brother; and one sister.
All services will be private.
