Colleen Ford Graves

RECTOR — Colleen Ford Graves of Rector passed from this life on Sunday, April 11, 2010, at the age of 82. She was residing at the Lakeside Nursing Center.

Colleen was born Jan. 13, 1928, to the late Thomas Francis and Lulu Belle Watson Ford. She will be remembered by her grandchildren for all the special and fun times they always had when they were with her.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Rector and was a leader of the youth at one time. She also belonged to Delta Gamma at the University of Arkansas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wallace Graves; two brothers, Sonny Thomas Ford and Billy Joe Ford; and two sisters, Arlene Ford Landrus and Rose Virginia Ford.

She is survived by her son, James Kimbel Graves of Rector; three daughters and their spouses, Pamela Graves Bronson and Stewart of Memphis, Teresa Graves Sain and Fred of Rector, and Ginger Graves Sain and Gregg of Rector; seven grandchildren, Alexis Adcox, Pamela Sain-Mills, Seanne Sain, Maggie Sain, Caroline Sain, Chase Sain and Nicholas Sain; five great-grandchildren, Abigail Adcox, James Adcox, Wallace Adcox, Graves Adcox and Ford Mills; her twin sister and her husband, Alene Ford Brock and Joe of Heber Springs; her mother-in-law, Pauline Graves Shields; along with a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services were Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Rector with Jay Adcox officiating. Interment was in Woodland Heights Cemetery.

Wilene Bilbrey Hinton

WEST MEMPHIS — Wilene Bilbrey Hinton, 82, of West Memphis, formerly of Wynne, died Sunday in West Memphis.

Survivors are her daughter, Glenda Pierce Runions, and husband, Richard of West Memphis; two grandchildren, Blake and Bryan Runions; and four great-grandchildren, Noah, Houston, Kennedy and Maverick Runions.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Cogbill Cemetery at Wynne.

Kernodle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ladonna Kemp

POCAHONTAS — Ladonna Kemp, 62, of Pocahontas died Sunday, April 11, 2010, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Ladonna was born to John and Betty Ebert on July 9, 1947, at Keswick, Mo.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Kemp is survived by her children, Glen and Jason Kemp of Pocahontas and Carol Sipes of Okarche, Okla.; one grandchild, Thomas Sipes; family and friends.

Cox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Retha Lansdell

HUMNOKE — Mary Retha Lansdell, 75, of Humnoke died Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Stuttgart.

Mrs. Lansdell was born Feb. 23, 1935, in Oakgrove in Cleveland County. She was the youngest of six children born to the late James Matthew and Lula Gertrude Raney Smith.

Mrs. Lansdell was reared in Oakgrove and attended Woodlawn schools. She was a 1953 graduate of Woodlawn High School. She attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello for two years. She also attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

She was a former resident of Jonesboro and had been residing with her son, Robert, for about three years in Humnoke.

She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Mrs. Lansdell was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. “Bob” Lansdell, in 1996, three brothers, two sisters and one grandchild, Victor Stephens.

Survivors include two sons, Ron Lansdell of Manti, Utah, and Robert Lansdell of Humnoke; two daughters, Sharon Wren of Jonesboro and Karen Bernal of Harrison; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Bishop David Smith officiating. Burial will be in Rowell Cemetery.

The family will receive friends this evening from 5 to 7 at Robinson’s.

Edwin L. Luechtefeld

JONESBORO — Edwin L. Luechtefeld was born Dec. 15, 1925, and went to be with our Lord on April 9, 2010.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Pauline Justice, and son, Michael Stanley.

Survivors include his second wife, Lorene Baker; sons, John (Geri) and Tom (Linda); daughter, Kathy (John) Angelo; stepson, James Paul (Joe) Mulcahy; grandchildren, Amy, Jacob, Joseph; step-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Dora (R.H.) Graham.

He was a dear father, father-in-law, grandfather, uncle and brother-in-law.

Memorial services will be at noon Wednesday in Cathedral Baptist Church, 2706 Alexander Drive.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Cathedral Baptist Church.

“May the souls of faithful departed rest in peace, amen.”

Maudine Lucas

May 18, 1927-April 11, 2010

SIDNEY — Maudine Wilson Lucas, 82, of Sidney died Sunday.

Survivors include her husband, Silas Lucas of the home; children Troy Wilson and Michael Wilson, both of Batesville, Renee Walker of Newburgh, Ind., George Wilson and James Wilson, both of Sidney; sister, Geneva Champlin of Goshen, Ind.; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Assembly of God Church at Cave City with burial in Mount Carmel Cemetery at Sidney.

Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 at Qualls Cave City Funeral Home.

Millard Scott

BROOKLAND — Millard Winson Scott, 79, of Brookland passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital.

He was born June, 10, 1930, at Leachville. Mr. Scott was a member of the Nettleton Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hallie and Gladys Murray Scott; two sisters, Dean Chamness and Margie Lawry; and a sister-in-law, Myra Scott.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorthy Jean Scott; two daughters and their husbands, Patty and Dowe Boulter of Fort Gibson, Okla., and Brenda and Barry Phillips of Jonesboro; three grandsons and their wives, Scott and Brandie Boulter, Brent and Jenny Phillips, and Hunter Phillips; four granddaughters and their spouses, Alicia and Eric Hadley, BreeAnn and Daniel Rice, Brittany and Chadd Flowers, and Brooke Boulter; nine great-grandchildren with one on the way; and three brothers, H.A. Scott of Corbin, Ky., Billy Scott and wife Lela of St. Ann, Mo., and twin brother, Murray Scott and wife Peggy of Taft, Calif.

Visitation and a celebration of his life will be Wednesday at the Nettleton Church of Christ, 3521 East Highland Drive, Jonesboro.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. with the service at 1 p.m. with Jimmy Young and Jimmy Ferguson officiating under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Burial will follow in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens at Osceola.

Active pallbearers will include Jerry Dodson, Dennis Gregory, Gary James, Greg Smith, Jim Lane and Kirk Ross.

Honorary pallbearers will include Bobby Nettles, Bill Lester and Jerry Hall.

Wanda See

JUDSONIA — Wanda See, 58, died Sunday.

Survivors include her husband, Will, of Judsonia; children, Johnny Holt and Melissa Raby, both of Big Flat; mother, Verna Hewitt of Berta; siblings, Lloyd Hewitt of Mullberry, Wilburn Hewitt and Lois Guthrie, both of Weiner, Johnny Hewitt of Springfield, Marshall Hewitt of Bellville, Anthony Hewitt of Harrisburg, Jackie Hewitt of Fisher, Geraldine Sirfus of Texas, Dolly Howard of Bald Knob, Verna Mae Johnson and Helen Smith, both of Berta; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2 Wednesday afternoon in Johnson Cemetery with visitation from 10-noon before services at Dillinger Funeral Home.

Betty Katherine Short

PARAGOULD — Betty Katherine Short, 82, of Paragould died Saturday.

Miss Short was a former employee of Emerson Electric and Wilbourn Wholesale and a member of East Side Baptist Church.

Survivors include three nieces, Rosemary Taylor, Alex Hogan and Lora Lou Swindle; three great-nieces; three great-nephews; and several great-great-nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Mount Zion Cemetery with Dennis Scudder officiating. Visitation will be from 9-10:30 before services at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould. The procession will leave at 10:30 a.m.

Dickie Thompson

PARAGOULD — Dickie Thompson, 51, of Paragould died Saturday at his residence.

Dickie was a self-employed construction worker and member of the Finch Baptist Church.

Dickie was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Allean Lively Thompson.

Survivors include his son, Jordan Tyler Thompson of Paragould; daughter, Taryn Elizabeth Ann Thompson of Fayetteville; brother, Mack E. Thompson of Ash Flat; aunts, Irene Walden and Edith Evans of Paragould; sister-in-law, Theresa Thompson of Paragould; nieces and nephews, Kristen and John Thompson of Paragould, Chase and Anna Hayes of Fayetteville; and several cousins.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Finch Baptist Church. Memorial services will follow at noon at the church with the Rev. Terry Gage officiating.

Heath Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
