Mrs. Rodgers

Mrs. Lola Rodgers, 80, of Pocahontas, died Friday at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born in Mississippi County.

Survivors include a brother, Buck Turner of Farmington, N.M.; and two sisters, Madgie Shelton of Pocahontas and Edna Meyer of Memphis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Rodgers.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 Sunday afternoon at the McNabb Funeral Home chapel in Pocahontas. Perry Vandergriff will officiate. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery at Pocahontas.

Visitation will be from 5 this afternoon until 8 this evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Murrah

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Margaret Cox Murrah, 73, of Wynne, who died Wednesday at her home, will be held this afternoon at 2 at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home chapel in Wynne. Rev. Donnie Wilson will officiate and burial will follow in Akin Cemetery at Vanndale.

Pallbearers will be Larry Burnett Jr., Tommy Clubb, Tony Stanbury and Joseph Williams.

She was a member of Rolfe Chapel Assembly of God in Wynne and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Women's Auxiliary in Wynne.

Survivors include four daughters, Betty Bishop and Vicki Lisk, both of Wynne, Barbara Middleton of Fallbrook, Calif., and Brenda Coplin of Newbury Park, Calif.; two sons, Ronald W. Murrah of Benson, Ariz., and Terry Wayne Murrah of Judsonia; four sisters, Bertha Spears and Goldie Henderson, both of Wynne, Naomi Green of Nashville and Myrtle Woolbright of St. Louis; 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family has asked that persons wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the Rolfe Chapel Assembly of God.

Mrs. Fox

A graveside service for Mrs. Marvine Knopp Fox, 69, of Jonesboro, who died Thursday in Memphis, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 at Linwood Cemetery in Paragould. Carlton Cross will officiate. Burial will be under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers will include the management and staff of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Strickland and Harold Baugh.

Born in Peach Orchard, she grew up in Paragould and graduated from Paragould High School. She worked as an accountant for Paragould Laundry, Ermon Powell, A&G Auto Parts, Jerry Strickland and Associates and Farmers Union Funeral Home. She was also owner of Marvine K. Fox Public Accountant. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro, the Society of Public Accountants, the Altrusa Club and she also tutored for the Adult Education Center of Jonesboro.

Survivors include one son, Mark Fox of Jonesboro; one daughter, Dawn Fox of Jonesboro; one brother, Neal "Buddy" Knopp of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Emma Houston of Coffeyville, Kan., and Imogene Lewis of Jonesboro; and one grandchild.

Visitation will be held this evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

The family has requested that lasting memorials be made to the West Clinic Wings Foundation, 1775 Moriah Woods Boulevard, Memphis, Tenn. 38117, the First United Methodist Church of Jonesboro or the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Walker

Mrs. Mary Lorie Watlington Cummings Walker, 84, of Wynne, died Friday at her residence. She lived most of her life in the Colt and Pinetree area before moving to Wynne. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest Walker of the home; one son, Arvin L. Cummings of Colt; three daughters, Pauline Cummings of McCrory, Agnes Straub of Booneville and Shirley Head of Wynne; five brothers, Claude Watlington, Herbert Watlington, Dallas Watlington and Thomas Watlington, all of Colt, and Herman Watlington of West Memphis; five sisters, Ruth Evans and Beulah Smith, both of Wenatchee, Wash., Mattie Bell Baskins of West Memphis, Annette Bowman of Bald Knob and Helen Collins of Wynne; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in Wynne, with Rev. David Yates officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Chapel Cemetery near Wynne.

Visitation will be held this evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Scharfhausen

Fred J. Scharfhausen, 69, of Marked Tree, died Friday at his residence.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.

Mrs. McCracken

Mrs. Lavida Jane McCracken, 63, of Jonesboro, died Friday at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home.

Runyon

Funeral services for D.R. Runyon, 59, of Tupelo, who died Thursday at Baptist Medical Center, will be at 10 Monday morning at First Assembly of God in Tupelo. Burial will be in Sandhill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dewayne Runyon, Jim Hardin, Danny Watkins, Claude Robinson, Larry Jones and Billy Park.

Honorary pallbearers include Gene Moss, Leroy Baumgarner and Runyon's brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Baumgarner Runyon of Tupelo; two sons, Michael Runyon of Diaz and Dennis Runyon of Newport; his mother, Vera Runyon of Newport; three brothers, Doyle Runyon, Jackie Runyon and Truman Runyon, all of Tupelo; four sisters, Sybil Simpson and Lou Park, both of Diaz, and Ann Davis and Brenda Jackson, both of Tupelo; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be from 5 this afternoon until 9 this evening at Dillinger Funeral Home in Newport.

Burcham

Funeral services for Mark Steven Burcham, 39, of McEwen, Tenn., who died Thursday at the Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church in McEwen, will be at 2 this afternoon at Heath Funeral Home's Colonial Chapel in Paragould, with Danny Panky officiating. Burial will be in Cardwell Cemetery in Cardwell, Mo.

Born in Paragould, he was a truck driver and insurance salesman. He was a member of the Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church in McEwen.

Survivors include his wife, Dawonna Burcham of McEwen; two sons, Brandon Burcham and Jason Burcham, both of McEwen; his parents, Garry and Phyllis Burcham of Lepanto; three brothers, Mack Burcham of Jonesboro, Michael Burcham of West Memphis and Mitchell Burcham of Lepanto; one sister, Melinda Burcham of Jonesboro; his maternal grandfather, Grover Stewart of Cardwell, Mo.; and his paternal grandmother, Hattie Burcham of Senath, Mo.

Thomason

Funeral services for Robert Woodrow Thomason, 82, of Paragould, who died Friday at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, will be at 1 Monday afternoon at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould, with Rev. Jim Chaplain officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.

Born in Greene County, he was an employee of Ely-Walker and was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Thomason of Paragould; two sons, Bob Thomason of Memphis, Tenn., and Jim Thomason of Little Rock; a stepson, Larry Ray of Paragould; one daughter, JoAnn Singleton of Advance, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Phyllis Layman of Paragould; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren and 12 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.

The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Dildine infant

Kayla Deshay Dildine, infant daughter of Tera and John Dildine of Wynne, died Saturday at Regional Medical Center of NEA in Jonesboro.

Arrangements will be announced by Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of Wynne.

Mrs. Farmer

Funeral services for Mrs. Rachel Edna Farmer, 77, of 2712 Spring Valley Drive, Jonesboro, who died Friday at Craighead Nursing Center, will be at 11 Monday morning at Trinity Church, 701 E. Highland Drive, in Jonesboro with Revs. Gerald Vickers and Ronnie Tackett officiating.

Burial will be in Ridge-View Cemetery in Eden, N.C., with Fair Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of arrangements.

She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy of Jonesboro.

Survivors include her husband, James G. Farmer of Jonesboro; one son, Steve Farmer of Jonesboro; a daughter, Marlene Burgess of Jonesboro; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 5 this afternoon until 7 this evening at Trinity Church.

Maclin

Bobby Joe Maclin, 40, of Marked Tree, died Friday in Marked Tree. He was employed in the maintenance department at Mid South in Marked Tree.

Survivors include a daughter, Danica Maclin of Bay; his mother, Cassie Maclin of Tulot; and four sisters, Mattie Raney of Trumann, Nola Gibbs of Lepanto, Ruby Maclin of Dudley, Mo., and Cathy VanVleck of West Plains, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Beard Maclin, and a brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2 Monday afternoon in the chapel of Murphy Funeral Home of Marked Tree. Burial will be in Marked Tree Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Ricky Gibbs, Greg Green, Edward Maclin, Hal Smith, Billy Bishop, John Smith, Hubert Raney and Jerry Barker.

Visitation will be held from 4 this afternoon to 6 this evening at the funeral home.
