Marian Louise Sexton, age 77, of North Little Rock, died Nov. 7, 2002.
Survivors include her daughters, Pat Glover of Cabot and Diane Alkire of Maumelle; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church of Cabot Nov. 10, with interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery
under the direction of Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home.
Elmer Lee Goforth
Elmer Lee Goforth, 77, of Cabot died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002.
He is survived by one son and four daughters.
Graveside service was Friday, Nov. 8, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home.
Anne Lucie Boulter
Anne Lucie Boulter, age 53, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002.
Survivors are her mother, Thirza Norman of Ipswich, England; children Natalie and Michael Roystuart; brother, Michael Norman; and sister, Joy.
The body was cremated and returned to England where it will be buried in the Garden of Remembrance at Ipswich.
A memorial service in her honor was held Friday, Nov. 8, 2002 in the chapel of Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.
Morris Martindill
Morris Martindill, age 78, of Little Rock died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002.
He was retired from ABF.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Sliger of Cabot; stepdaughter, Sandra Ochs of Florida; 3 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
A graveside service was held Nov. 11, in Pinecrest Memorial Park with Roller-Drummond Southwest in charge.

Robert W. Davison
Robert Wade Davison, Lt. Col. USAF Retired, 83, of Cabot died Oct. 23, 2002.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survived by wife, Vera K. Davison; two daughters, Pamela McAdams of Cabot, Susan Vroman of Escondido, Calif.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister Jean Wynne of Houston, Texas.
Private cremation arranged through North Little Rock Funeral Home, with interment at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery
(Sherwood). Graveside military honors were Wednesday, Oct. 30, by Little Rock Air Force Base Honor Guard.
A.J. Pounders
A.J. Pounders, 78, of Lonoke died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002.
He was born June 20, 1923, in Malvern, Arkansas to Thomas J. and Mattie E. Pounders.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty J. Pounders; one son, Jay (Debbie) Pounders of Springdale; two daughters, Beth (Danny) Wright of Lonoke and Patsy (Jim) Goode of Cabot; four grandchildren, Mike (Christy) Pounders of Olathe, Kansas, Randy (Sarah) Pounders of Fayetteville, Rachelle Wright of Lonoke and Katy Wright of North Little Rock; three great-grandchildren, Peyton, Morgan and Brock Pounders of Olathe, Kansas.
He served with the 82nd Seabees during WW II and retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 40 years of service.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Saturday, at Lonoke First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Nicholas Lascaro and Dr. Jeff Pounders officiating. Burial was in Lonoke Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke.
Pallbearers were Robert Glover, James Nix, John Ross, Phillip Pounders, Andy Pounders, Jeff Hill and Charlie Travis.
Memorials may be made to the Lonoke First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
John E. Haymes
John Edward Haymes, 85, of Austin, Arkansas died Saturday, January 5, 2002.
He was a farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Blanche Sims Haymes of Austin, Arkansas; one daughter, Diane H. Griffin of Austin, Arkansas; three grandsons, Eddie and his wife, Candy Griffin of Austin, Arkansas, Keith and his wife, LeAnne Griffin of Des Arc, Arkansas, and Lynn Griffin of Austin, Arkansas; two great-granddaughters, Lauren Griffin of Ward, Arkansas and Keithlea Griffin of Des Arc, Arkansas; five sisters, Lorene Fisher of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Billie Haymes of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Virginia Hargis of South Gate, Michigan, Fern Case of Clawson, Michigan and Faye Reimers of Austin, Arkansas; three brothers, Darrow “Sonny” Haymes of Gulf Shores, Alabama, Ray Haymes of Beebe, Arkansas, and Tony Haymes of Pocahontas, Arkansas.
Preceding him in death were his daughter, May Anne Haymes, in 1945; his sister, Linnie Moran; and brothers, Truett and Tommy Haymes.
Funeral was at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, at Westbrook Chapel, with burial in Apple Hill Cemetery
by Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
Scott Garland
Scott Garland of Union, S.C., formerly of Jacksonville, died Jan. 10, 2002.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mable Garland; daughter, Lisa Joan of Centreville, Va.; three sons, George “Chip” of Colorado Springs, Colo., Sam of Jacksonville, and John of Cabot; and six grandchildren.
He served in the Army during the
Korean War, and retired from the USAF and the Veterans Administration at Fort Roots, North Little Rock. He was a member of the Hospice program, worked in the prison ministry, a counselor at the juvenile boy’s ranch, a nursing home ministry, and a hospital ministry. He volunteered in the VFW and the Vietnam Veterans Association and his church.
Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Hospice, any Lupus Chapter, or veterans’ organization.
Mildred Lowry
Mildred Guest Lowry, 82, of Little Rock died Jan. 13, 2002.
She worked as a housing specialist for the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church..
She is survived by her husband, Robert Lowry of Falls Church, Va.; a daughter, Anne L. Heyne of San Diego, Calif.; a son, Robert J. Lowry of Annandale, Va.; one brother, V.P. Guest of Cabot; and a granddaughter.
Juanita Burrow
Juanita (Free) Burrow, 76, of Cabot died Sunday.
Survivors: husband, Clifford E. Burrow; daughter, Lorita Heatherly; brothers, C.W. Free, James Free and Don Free; sister, Dorothy Bone; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service: Tuesday, at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel. Interment, Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Arthur Ingle
Arthur Early Ingle, 93, of Hazen died Monday, Jan. 14, 2002.
He was a retired farmer and a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Fletcher and Finus Ingle, both of Hazen; six daughters, Ina Adams, Mary Nell Wood, Shirley Bowen, Florence Reaves, Emma Carlisle, all of Hazen, and Joann Langley of McRae; one step-son, Jerry Raper; two brothers, Lee Ingle of Carlisle and Leonard Ingle of Des Arc; one sister, Sena Baxter of Des Arc; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grand-children.
Funeral services were Jan. 16, at the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with interment in the Center Point Cemetery. Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen.
Mary White
Mary Ruby Wingfield Mahoney White, 74, of Cabot died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002.
She is survived by her children, Dusty Mahoney of Floyd, Elizabeth Hughes of Rose Bud, Diana Sullivan of Beebe, Linda Burns, Barbara Bryant and Kenny Mahoney of Cabot, Roger Mahoney of Bauxite, Robert Allen Mahoney of Jacksonville and Deborah Hooten of St. Francis; 37 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
