She was employed by Maybelline.
Survivors include a daughter, Teresa York, and two sons, Jonathan Murphy and Charles Wooten, all of Jacksonville; three sisters, Joyce Cooney of Jacksonville, Kathy Harrison and Tammy Taylor, both of Conway; a brother, Rick Morris of Jacksonville; and 8 grandchildren.
Graveside service was Jan. 29 at Hamilton Cemetery
near Carlisle.
H.M. LeMay
H.M. “Mack” LeMay, 72, of Austin died Jan. 28, 2002.
He was a retired dairy farmer and cattle farmer, a charter member of Oak Grove First Baptist Church, and a member of the Oak Grove Cemetery
Board.
Survivors are his wife, Freddie Mae LeMay; a son, Mikey LeMay of Austin; a daughter, Diann Garrett of Romance; a brother, George “Isaac” Wilson of Cabot; a sister, Corinne Waller of Austin; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m., Feb. 1, at Country Chapel Church, Ward, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery
by Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
Helen J. Thompson
Helen Joyce Thompson, age 37, of Conway, died at her home.
Surviving are her grandmother, Edna Perrette of Beebe; two brothers, James Perrette of Ward and John Perrette of Beebe; four sisters, Julie Frazier of Vilonia, Edith Burke and Mary Henry of Ward, and Ruby Sullivan of Cabot.
Funeral was 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Monk Cemetery.
John Daniel Boggs
John Daniel Boggs, age 70, of Carlisle, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002.
Born Sept. 16, 1932, at Priest River, Idaho, he was the son of Ollie Alva Boggs of Hazen, and the late Harrison Adolph Boggs.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva Boggs; one daughter, Lori Ann Boggs Collins, and husband, Craig, of North Little Rock; one brother, Dr. Dwight Boggs of Paragould; and one sister, Delores Hopkins of Hobbs, N.M.
He is predeceased by one son, Brian Keith Boggs of Hazen, and one brother, Harry Boggs of San Antonio, Texas.
Mr. Boggs received an honorable discharge after serving in the United States Army (1954-1956) as a medical specialist; 7th Evacuation Hospital, APO 175, Darmstadt and Frankfurt, Germany. As a member of the Army Tennis team, he toured Europe in tournament play.
He graduated from Harding College in Searcy with a BA degree in business administration. Following his graduation from college in 1957, he was credit analyst of Crane Company, Dallas, Texas. During his professional career, he was credit manager of Firestone, Memphis, Tenn., and business manager of John Deere, Little Rock, Ark.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel in Lonoke by minister Gene Greer, friend and Army associate. The eulogy was given by nephew Randy Boggs of San Antonio, Texas.
Jewell M. Fitzhugh
Jewell Maxine Fitzhugh of Cabot, age 75, died Dec. 10, 2002.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Fitzhugh; three daughters, Amy Pearson of Lonoke, Suzanne McLean of Cabot, and Lucy Edna Six of Oklahoma; two sons, Bryan Raines of Texas and Jack Fitzhugh Jr. of Butlerville; one brother, Paul Choat of Blevins; one sister, Rosalee Eads of Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennie Lee Fitzhugh Raines.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Bro. Billy Pearson Sr., with interment in Martindale Cemetery, Hwy. 10, near the Martindale Community, Little Rock.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Joann Patricia Givens
Joann Patricia Givens of Jacksonville died Dec. 7, 2002, at Baptist Spring Hill Hospital. She was born June 1, 1934, in Long Pine, Neb.
Survivors include a son, Jack Givens of Maumelle; daughters, Terri Littlejohn, Odenton, Md., Vicki Lynch of Wrightstown, N.J., and Marie Seaton of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Sara Givens, Scott and Eric Littlejohn, and Jennifer and Jeffery Lynch; sisters, Nina Miller of Lowell, Mich., and Anna Swanson of Judsonia.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Grantham, formerly of Quitman; father, William J. Hoft; one brother and four sisters.
An open house memorial service was held at 125 Harris Rd., Jacksonville, Dec. 11.
North Little Rock Funeral Home was in charge of cremation.
Memorials may be made to the Jacksonville Senior Center.
Gladys M. Hammons
Gladys Marie (Snyder) Hammons, 78, of Cabot, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at Cabot Manor Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Elvie Hill, her mother, Carolyn Hodge Hill, a daughter, Laura Beth Hammons, five brothers, and three sisters.
Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Bill Williams of Cabot; a granddaughter, Deb Staley of Searcy; three grandsons, John Williams of Cabot, Eric and Alex Hammons of Tulsa, Okla.; three great-grandchildren, Jordan and Jenna Staley of Cabot and Nicole Williams of Cabot; and numerous other family members and friends.
Graveside service was Monday. Arrangements were by Cabot Funeral Home.
Kathryn Patton
Kathryn Patton of Cabot died Dec. 7, 2002.
She is survived by her husband, Charles, of the home; a son, Allen Coughlin III of Beebe; four stepdaughters, Michelle Haskins of Cabot, Susan Harvey of Cabot, Charlotte Lucy of DeWitt, Virginia and Rita Davis of Ford, Va.; one sister, Sandra Tolle of Indianapolis, Ind.; five brothers, Charles Eby, Walter Eby, Duarward Eby Jr., and John David Eby, all of Indianapolis, Ind., and Thomas Eby of Nevigh, Ind.; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home.
Paul Broadstone
Paul Broadstone, 51, of Cabot, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at a Little Rock hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Patrick Broadstone; five sons, Paul Broadstone Jr., Mark Broadstone, Wesley Broadstone, Stacy Broadstone and Jeremy Broadstone; one daughter, Joy Gregory; four sisters, Gloria Casillas, Tillie Broadstone, Ginny Ruth and Tina Broadstone; one brother, George Broadstone; and a special friend.
No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are by Cabot Funeral Home.
David Martin Butler
David Martin Butler, 42, of Lonoke died Dec. 7, 2002.
Survivors are his children, Samantha Butler, David Butler Jr., Travis Alan Butler and Megan Butler, all of Lonoke; his mother, Flora Ann Johnson of Oklahoma; brother, Jeffrey Butler of Mabelvale; and sisters, Carolyn Bowden of Lonoke and Sheila Ashford of Oklahoma.
Funeral was Tuesday at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel, Lonoke, with interment in Concord Cemetery.
Geneva Pigg
Geneva Pigg, 79, of Austin died Dec. 6, 2002.
Survivors include her children, Jodie Tice of Austin, Alice Herbert of Florida, Ann Woods and Vernon Pigg, both of Mississippi; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were Dec. 10 in Rolling Fork, Miss.
