Mrs. Spurlock

Mrs. Bessie Spurlock, 81, of Walnut Ridge, died Saturday at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.

Mrs. McAuliffe

Mrs. Cornelia S. McAuliffe, 85, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Jonesboro, died Saturday at St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Walters

Lee Wesley Walters, 84, of Paragould, died Saturday at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould. Born in Greene County, he was a retired carpenter, former co-owner of George Walters and Sons Sorghum Mill and was of the Lutheran belief.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Walters of the home; five daughters, Shirley Mobley, Dorothy Dunnigan, Brenda Remagen, Elizabeth Bramen and Janet Rodriguez, all of Paragould; one brother, Earl Walters, of Paragould; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2 Monday afternoon at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Paragould with the Rev. Henry Stoll officiating. Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould is in charge.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.

Waller

Funeral services for Forrest Waller, 86, of Searcy, who died Thursday at his home in Searcy, will be at 2 Monday afternoon at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in White County Memorial Gardens.

A former White County judge, he was a teacher in White County schools, served as county and circuit clerk, worked for the U.S. Department of the Treasury and retired as director of U.S. Savings Bonds for Arkansas. He was a member of the American Legion and was of the Church of Christ belief.

He is survived by two daughters, Jane Tubbs, of Harrisburg and Allison Lee Bohrer of Amarillo, Texas; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be George Carter, Tommy Goslin Jr., Stanley Miller, Euin Scroggins, Leonard Stevens, and Gary Wright.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.

Walker

Elmer Walker, 80, of Hoxie, died Saturday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.

Funeral services will be announced by House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.

Tanner

William A. "Bill" Tanner, 77, of Piggott, died Thursday at Piggott Community Hospital. He was a retired farmer and a lifelong resident of Clay County. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he was a senior choir director. He served in the Medical Corps in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 38, the Piggott Masonic Lodge and the Clay County Democratic Central Committee.

Survivors include his wife, Floretta Hooks Tanner of Piggott; two sisters, Opal Cosey of Piggott and Agnes Foster of Waterford, Mich.; five brothers, Henry Tanner, Tim Tanner, George Tanner and Paul Tanner all of Piggott and Bob Tanner of Mountain Home.

Funeral services were Saturday morning at the First Baptist Church in Piggott. Clyde Spurgin and Kent Barnes officiated. Burial was at Piggott Cemetery with Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers were Brant Tanner, Blake Tanner, Jerry Tanner, Jack Tanner, Mike Tanner, Jeff Tanner, Gary Cosey and Rodney Cosey.

Honorary pallbearers included Terry Pollard, Charles Pollard, Carl Pollard, Dallas Pollard, Al Butler, Willard Whaley, Mike Morgan, Bobby Shanklin, Dr. Hillard Duckworth and Sherman D. Cullum Sr.

Miss Fleming

Miss Jessie Marie Fleming, 67, of Ash Flat, died Friday at her home.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Heath Funeral Home's Oak Hill Chapel of Hardy.

Willbanks

Roy Patton Willbanks, 83, of Harrisburg, died Saturday at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center. He was a retired employee of the Singer Company and was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Willbanks of the home; three sons, Ron Willbanks of Ravenden Springs, Larry Willbanks and Bobby Willbanks both of Trumann; four daughters, Margaret Davis and Mary Barnes both of Harrisburg, Doris Arnold and Betty Arnold both of Trumann; three brothers, Homer Willbanks of Flint, Mich., Porter Willbanks of Bentonville and Charlie Willbanks of Keiser; 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be Monday afternoon at 2 at Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be this evening from 6 until 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Evans

Mrs. Sylvia Jane Evans, 77, of West Plains, Mo., formerly of Harrisburg, died Friday at the Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. Born at Harrisburg, she was a lifelong member of the Pleasant Valley Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Diane Bentley of West Plains; one son, William Bart Evans of Calico Rock; one brother, Lowell Jordan of Sycamore, Ill.; two sisters, Eva Marie Miller and Mary Emma Peifer both of Harrisburg and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Evans, and by two brothers.

Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 at Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home, with Rev. Tom Sullinger officiating. Burial will follow at Bolivar Cemetery near Harrisburg.

Active pallbearers will be Kenny Miller, Paul Miller, Barry Jordan, Lloyd Ray Evans, Nolan Ray Evans and Joe Mills.

Honorary pallbearers will include Rodger Dale Peifer, Donald Ray Peifer, John David Peifer, Jason Knick, Jimmy Keeney, Bobby Smith, Do Smtih, Henry Smith, Dana Collins, Jess Murray Sr. and Sonny Condra.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.

For lasting memorials the family requests that consideration be given to St. Mary's School of West Plains, Mo., or the Pleasant Valley Methodist Church, Connie Jones, 7676 Highway 163, Harrisburg, Ark. 72432.

Mrs. Woodard

Funeral services for Mrs. Mollie Veonia "Mollie" Woodard, 93, of Trumann, who died Friday at the Monette Manor Nursing Home, will be Monday afternoon at 1 at Gregg Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with Rev. Anthony Patterson officiating. Burial will be at Beech Grove Cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Born at Paragould, she lived most of her life at Trumann and Caraway. She was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God.

Survivors include five sons, C.M. Woodard of Lake City, D.B. Woodard of Bono, R.A. Woodard of Trumann, Euklie Woodard of Northridge, Calif., Robert Charles Woodard of Lynn; one daughter, Annetta McAninch of St. Louis, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Raven Woodard and by two daughters.

Visitation will be this afternoon from 3 until 6 this evening at the funeral home.

For lasting memorials the family requests that consideration be given to a hospice program.

Mrs. Rolland

A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Alice Robertson Rolland, 53, of 4178 Arkansas 349, No. 25, Jonesboro, who died Friday, will be this afternoon at 3 at the Oaklawn Cemetery, with Rev. Garry Wiles officiating. Emerson Funeral Home of Lake City has charge of arrangements.

A native of Lake City, she had lived in the Lake City and Jonesboro area all of her life. She was a cashier for Kentucky Fried Chicken and was a member of the Lake City Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Melissa Carson of Jonesboro; one sister, Jacque Ulmer of Memphis; two brothers, Jim Robertson and Bill Robertson both of Lake City and two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Rolland, her father, J.T. Robertson Jr. and her mother, Oleta Mae Robertson.

Visitation will be from 12:30 until 2 this afternoon at the funeral home.
