Joseph Albert Berry
Joseph Albert Berry, age 83, of Butlerville, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002.
He retired from Arkansas Best Freight in 1980, after 23 years of service. He was a member of Greenwood Missionary Baptist Church since 1947 and held the office of Deacon for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mildred Cathey Berry, of the home; a son, Richard Berry of Pine Bluff; a daughter, Kathryn Berry Sanders of Forrest City; brothers, Raymond Berry of North Little Rock, Thomas Berry of Oak Grove community; a sister, Mary Hicks of Cabot; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral was Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Greenwood Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in Butlerville Cemetery.

Kevin James Haney
Kevin James Haney, age 44, of Cabot, died Sept. 21, 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Selena Newell Haney; two sons, Kyle and William Haney both of Cabot; two daughters, Jill Haney of Cabot and Ann Haney of Columbia, S.C.; grandmother, Helen Mahlum of Galesville, Wis.; four sisters and one brother.
Services were Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, with interment in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock.

Juanita Owen
Juanita Owen, 86, formerly of Paragould, died Wednesday in Lonoke.
She is survived by a son, Mike Owen (Sherwood).
Funeral services were held Saturday at Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould.

Don E. Maggard
Don E. Maggard, 61, of Furlow died Sept. 23, 2002.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ruby; children, Janice Reed, Lisa Coffman and Don Maggard Jr.; five grandchildren; brothers, John Harris and Gary Harris; and sisters, Frances Sanders and Lois Martin.
Funeral was Wednesday at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Concord Cemetery.
Delta M. McMullen
Delta M. McMullen, 76, of McRae died Sept. 18, 2002.
She is survived by daughters Wanda Williams of McRae and Loyce Stoddard of Lonoke; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Ruth Alice Tullos
Ruth Alice Tullos, 67, of Cabot died Sept. 21, 2002.
Survivors include her husband of 12 years, Melvin Tullos of Cabot; a stepson, Steven Ray Tullos; a brother, Jack Lemons of Pitsfield, Ill.
Private family services were held, arranged by Cabot Funeral Home.
Leo H. Archer
Leo H. Archer, 88, of England died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002.
He was a farmer, retired employee of England School District and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, James C. Archer of North Little Rock; a daughter, Faye D. Sain of Tucker; brothers, Raymond Archer of Beebe and Kenneth Archer of Sheridan; sisters, Elsie Fielder, Minnie Chivers and Lou Ellen Beatty, all of Lonoke, and Norma Jean Morris of Keo; six grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was Saturday at Mulberry Cemetery
in England by Roller-England Funeral Home.
Loyd Blankenship Jr.
Loyd “Butch” Blankenship Jr., 44, of Cabot died Sept. 21, 2002.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Blankenship of Cabot; brothers, Allan and Charles, both of Cabot.
A graveside service was held Tuesday at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Cabot, by Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.

Charles Edward “Dick” Martin, 73, of England died Sept. 21, 2002.
He was a member of the Scott Pentecostal Church, and owner of Martin’s Radiator Shop at Coy.
Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Sarah Radcliff Martin; sons, Charles of Lonoke, David of England, Dwight of England; daughters, Deborah Martin of England and Johnnie Day Kinley of Lonoke; brothers, Raymond and H.W. Martin of England, Gene White of Armalia, Va.; sisters, Olive Vann Pollard of Smilax, Ky., Christine Fransico of North Little Rock; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral was Tuesday at Roller-England Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Keo Cemetery.

Richard Graham
Richard Graham, 60, of Carlisle died Sept. 19, 2002.
He is survived by his mother, Pauline Graham of Carlisle; a brother, Billy Graham of Hazen; sisters, Pauline Calley of Clarksville and Mary Shaw of California.

David R. Howell
David R. Howell, 80, of Cabot died Monday, Sept. 30, 2002.
He was a retired employee of AP&L and active in Cabot city government. He was a member of Cabot First Baptist Church, a Mason and a World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Inez Howell; a son, Mike Howell, and wife, Ann, of Little Rock; a daughter, Phyllis Jane Bryant and her husband, Jim, of Cabot; three grandsons; one great-granddaughter; four sisters, Gloria Hendricks of Dallas, Connie Dodson of Cabot, Joyce Smith of California and Sarah Harper of Gurdon; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 3, at Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel, Beebe, with burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Cabot.
Clayton D. Harkey
Clayton Daniel Harkey of Cabot, God’s angel, was called home Sept. 24, 2002, at the age of 11 months.
Clayton was born Oct. 16, 2001, in Jacksonville to James and Shelly Grinstead Harkey.
Clayton touched so many lives in his short 11 months.
He is survived by his loving mother and father; brother James and sister Shayla; mawmaw and pawpaw, Sheila and Leonard Grinstead; and uncle Kevin, all of Cabot; grandfather, Jim Harkey; grandmother, Ina Grennard; and grandmother, Alice Harkey, all of North Little Rock; along with lots of loving aunts, uncles and great-grandparents.
Graveside service was Sept. 27 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery
in Cabot with David Brown officiating. Clayton was laid to rest beside his uncle, James. Arrangements were by Cabot Funeral Home.
