Mary Alice Green

Mary Alice (Franklin) Green, 57, of Jacksonville died Jan. 28, 2003.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie Don Green of Jacksonville; stepsons, Michael Green of Clarksville, Tenn., Julius Green of Conway, Jimmie A. Green of Waco, Texas and Timmie Green of Des Arc; daughters, Cindy Cardian of Searcy, Kim Weatherly of Austin, Tammy Perryman of Lonoke and Michelle Drennan of Jacksonville; brothers, Jim Franklin and Terry Franklin, both of Searcy; sisters, Lois Wallace of Cabot and Jean Bryant of Scott; and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral was Jan. 31 at Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Beebe, with burial in Antioch Cemetery.

Richard L. Stockton

Richard Lee Stockton, U.S. Marine Corp Gunnery Sergeant, retired, of North Little Rock, died Feb. 1, 2003 at the age of 68.

Stockton became active duty retired in the Marine Corp in 1975 and received 30 years full retirement in January 1983. In 1976 he became a Sherwood police officer and retired from Wrightsville Department of Correction in 1997. He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, the Meritorious Unit Commendation, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Pistol Expert Medal (12th Award), and the Rifle Expert Badge (20th Award). He was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in North Little Rock.

Survivors are his wife of 46 years, Pat Stockton; three sons, Richard Jr. of Little Rock, David of Dover, and Darryl of North Little Rock; one daughter Deborah Bouwknegt of Cabot; two sisters, Patsy Martin and Blanche Rose; and one brother, Jesse, all of Texarkana, Texas; 9 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A celebration of his life was held Wednesday Feb. 5, at Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills Chapel, North Little Rock, with interment in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.

Jimmy D. Adams

Jimmy D. Adams of Cabot, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003.

He was owner of Adams Pest Control of North Little Rock and Adams Pest Control in White County. He was a member of North LIttle Rock Lions Club; a former member of the North LIttle Rock Rotary Club; Arkansas Pest Control and National Pest Control Associations. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Alice Thornton Adams of Cabot; one son, Tim Adams of Cabot; one daughter, Luann Wiggins of Atlanta; two brothers, Elmo of West Memphis and Glynn of Bryant; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to Hebron United Methodist Church, Route 2, Box 194, Carlisle, Ark. 72024.

Funeral was Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Cabot, with burial in Rest Hills in Sherwood.

Jimmy D. Adams

On Sunday, February 2, 2003, Jimmy D. Adams of Cabot, Arkansas, while surrounded by his family entered into his new life in heaven.

He was born March 29, 1934, at Antioch, Arkansas, to Raymond and Lydia Adams.

He lived in El Paso, Arkansas and attended school in Searcy.

Jimmy was a businessman, having Adams Pest Control of North Little Rock and Adams Pest Control in White County.

He was a member of North Little Rock Lions Club; a former member of the North Little Rock Rotary Club; Arkansas Pest Control and National Pest Control Associations.

He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Jimmy lived his life as a Christian man. The joy of his life was his family.

He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Alice Thornton Adams of Cabot; one son, Tim Adams of Cabot; one daughter and her husband, Luann and Geoff Wiggins of Atlanta; two brothers, Elmo and his wife, Sue, of West Memphis and Glynn and his wife, Sylvia, of Bryant; his grandchildren, Esther Smith and her husband, Ben and Rachel Wiggins, all of Atlanta and Timothy and Jamie Adams of Cabot; one great-grandchild, Mary Alice Smith of Atlanta.

Memorials may be made to Hebron United Methodist Church, Route 2, Box 194, Carlisle, AR 72024.

Visitation was 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, with family receiving guests from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral was 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2003, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Cabot, with burial in Rest Hills Memorial Park at Sherwood.

Delores Elaine Hunt

Delores Elaine Hunt, 72, of Jacksonville died Feb. 1, 2003.

She was a member of McArthur Assembly of God Church in Jacksonville.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheila F. Billson of Jacksonville; her son, Stacey M. Hunt of Sherwood; five grandchildren; eight great-grandsons; her sister Ethel Peterson of Vancouver, Wash.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at McArthur Assembly of God Church, 3501 John Hardin Drive, Jacksonville. Funeral arrangements provided by Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills funeral home, North Little Rock.

Lynn Ivan Embrey

Lynn Ivan Embrey, 75, of Searcy, died Feb. 4, 2003.

Formerly of Nebraska, he was retired from Industrial Pipeline. He attended several senior citizen functions in Lonoke County, as well as White County.
Survivors include his children, Doug, Pam and David; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Buss of Searcy, Mildred Garner of Welfleet, Neb., and Margie Danbom of Curtis, Neb.; and a brother, Jim Embrey of Beaver City, Neb.

The body was cremated. McEuen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pauline Grigsby

Pauline Grigsby, 96, of Bradford, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003.

She was a 60-year member of the First United Methodist Church at Bradford and recently became a member of St. James First United Methodist Church in Little Rock. She taught school for 33 years. At retirement, she was a high school librarian and English teacher. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 52 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Fletcher of Little Rock; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Services were Tuesday, Feb. 11, at the First United Methodist Church in Bradford, with interment in Calvin Cemetery in Alicia.

Memorials may be made to Bradford First United Methodist Church, 408 W. Walnut, Bradford, Ark. 72020 or to the American Cancer Society.

Willis Waymack Sr.

Willis Frederick Waymack Sr., age 96, of Richardson, Texas, died Feb. 8, 2003. He was the tenth child in a family of 16.

He is survived by his son, Willis F. Waymack, Jr., of Richardson, Texas; two grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; one brother, Wesley Waymack; and one sister, Alice Ball, all of Cabot.

A longtime active member of Gardner Memorial Methodist Church, the services were held at the church Tuesday, Feb. 11.

Memorials may be made to Gardner Memorial Methodist Church.

Ora Faye Bradley

Ora Faye Bradley, 78, of Beebe, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003. Four daughters, Sandy Love, Jacksonville, Joan Love, Des Arc, Bonnie Battles, Austin, Kathy Trotter, Jacksonville; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren survive her.
Services 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003 at Westbrook Funeral Home, burial in Beebe Cemetery.

Delmer Hendrickson

Delmer Lee Hendrickson, Sr.,77, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003. He was a retired dairy farmer and a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Beebe.

Surviving are his wife, Lillian Hendrickson; one son, Delmer Lee Hendrickson, Jr. of Ward; two daughters, Phyllis Vaughn of Searcy and Emmer O’Kelley of Pendleton, Or.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Junior Hendrickson of Floral; three sisters, Clara Carter of Conway, Jennie Lee Brassfield of Michigan and Minnie Lee Nixon of Tennessee.

Funeral was Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at Westbrook Chapel, with burial in Antioch Cemetery.

Aldie Evelyn Garrison

Aldie Evelyn Garrison, 83, of Cabot, Ark., died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003.
She was born Jan. 25, 1920, at Hardy, Neb., to the late Ivan and Bessie Trimmer Howard. She was a longtime resident of Jonesboro, Ark., and a member of the Nettleton Methodist Church. She retired from J.C. Penney in 1982 and moved to Cabot in 2000.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, James T. Howard, and her husband of 49 years, Paul L. Garrison.

She is survived by two sons, Donald C. Lesh of Oak Grove, Ark., and Teddy L. Garrison of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Carol S. Adams of Cabot, Ark., and Cynthia A. Morgan of Osceola, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Darrel G. Lesh of Nixa, Mo., Eric H. Lesh of Springdale, Ark., Curtis I. Lesh of Atlanta, Ga., C. Scott Morgan of Piggott, Ark., Brandi M. Winger of Osceola, Ark., Jeremy C. Adams, a student at Colorado State University, Erin B. Adams, a student at the University of West Florida, Jacob P. Garrison and Juan S. Garrison of Orlando, Fla.; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; three stepsons, Joe P. Garrison of Ulysses, Kan., Jack Garrison of Plano, Texas, James Garrison of Lawrence, Kan., and their families. She is also survived by two brothers, George L. Howard of Bedford, N.H., and Darrel G. Howard of Blue Eye, Mo., and two sisters, Eileen M. Dietz of Wichita, Kan., and Carol E. MacDonald of Phoenix, Ariz.

Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., with funeral services at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2003 at Cabot Funeral Home. Interment will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park in Jonesboro, Ark., with graveside services at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes. Association.
