Dorothy M. Justice

Dorothy Marie Justice went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 11, 2004. She was born February 5, 1925 to Henry and Irene Williams formerly of England who preceded her in death. On June 19, 1947 she wed J.E. Justice of Lonoke who survives her. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a member of Eastern Star #421. Also preceding her in death are a sister Marie Gordon and brother James Williams.

Survivors include her brothers, Curtis Williams of Lonoke, Grady Williams of Beebe, Thomas and Cecil Williams of England and Paul Farris of Lonoke; sisters, Ellen Ivy and Annette Purnell of Little Rock, Parilee Martineau of Lonoke, Shirley Morse of Cabot and Marilyn Frank of Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services were at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel, Lonoke; officiated by Rev. Larry Martineau. Burial followed in Glover Cemetery, with Curtis Williams, Thomas Williams, Cecil Williams, Grady Williams, Bill Pullum and Tom Pickard as pallbearers. Visitation was 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Billie Jean Lanier

Billie Jean Lanier, 70, of Grant Parish, La., formerly of Carlisle, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004 in her residence after a long illness.

Survivors include her husband, John Lanier; sons, Mike Lanier of Jonesboro and Dan Lanier of Kansas City, Kansas; daughters, Debbye O’Banion of Pineville, Louisiana, and Tamra McGraw of Grant Parish, Louisiana; seven grandchildren, Debra Forte Kennedy of Pineville, Louisiana, Jake Forte of Cushman, Michiel Lanier of Jonesboro, Jody Craig Lanier of Jackson, Tennessee, Melissa Lanier Adcox of Kansas City, Kansas, Adam Lanier of USMC and Jeana McGraw of Grant Parish, Louisiana; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to The Veteran’s Administration, Indigent Fund, C/O Voluntary Services, VAMC or Cabrini Hospice.

Marshall W. Jones

Marshall Wayne Jones, 71, died at his home on Friday, February 13, 2004. He was born October 24, 1932 in Walker, Arkansas. Marshall retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He saw combat in Korea, was there during the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban Missile Crisis.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thurman Jones and his mother, Lizzie Dunn Jones of Kensett; one brother, Raymond Jones of Indiana; two sisters, Flora Jones Bradley of Searcy and Gertrude Jones Bratcher of Marianna. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elva Calvert Jones; two sons, Kevin Wayne Jones and wife Julie Lynette Marrow Jones and grandson, Brandyn Kyle Jones of Virginia; Allen Joe Jones and wife Kim Robinson Jones and granddaughter, Kristen Michelle Jones of Malvern and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Monday at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke with interment in Sunset Memorial Garden.

Visitation was 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Johnny W. Trippe

Johnny W. Trippe, 73, of Jacksonville, died in Little Rock Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and served as its director of day care for 23 years. She was also an active and life member of the Rebsamen Medical Center Auxiliary.

Survivors are her husband of 44 years, Robert Trippe; daughter, Tammie Dillon of Cabot; son Fletcher Trippe of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Mack Lee of Tampa, Fla., and James D. Lee of Tallahassee, Fla.; and two grandsons.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 18, 6 to 8 p.m. at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 220 West Main St., Jacksonville, Ark. 72076.

Johnny H. Campbell

Johnny H. Campbell, 68, of Mayflower died February 16, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He retired after thirty-five years at St Vincent Infirmary Maintenance Dept.
Survivors are his wife, Lucille Rhoads Campbell, mother, Verna Campbell of Lonoke; three daughters, Debra Young and Sondra Buerer of Vilonia, and Teresa White of Lonoke; one son, Jason Campbell, Lonoke; brother, Fletcher “Blue” Campbell, Lonoke; sisters, Peggy Kilpatrick, Germantown, Tennessee and Barbara Lucas of Little Rock; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five step-children; 15 step-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke with Bro. Ken Reese officiating. Burial will follow at Lonoke Cemetery.
Family visitation will be held at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Leona Stocks

Leona Stocks, 100, of North Little Rock died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004.
She was a schoolteacher for 46 years with the last 20 years at Rose City Elementary. She was also a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Graveside service was Monday at Old Austin Cemetery in Lonoke County. Arrangements by North Little Rock Funeral Home.

Patricia L. S. Seidel

Patricia Lynn Sullivan Seidel, 42, of North Little Rock died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004.

She had been employed by the Farmer’s Home Administration; Shreveport, La.; and Great Britain. She was most recently CEO and co-owner of Resource Consultants, Inc. She was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Peter W. Seidel; one son, Kevin Glaze; one daughter, Staci Glaze; her parents, Gene and Carrie Sullivan; sister, Cherie Felcher; and brother, Mike Sullivan, all of North Little Rock.

Private graveside services for the family was held at Lonoke Cemetery followed by a memorial service in celebration of her life at Lakewood United Methodist Church in North Little Rock.

Memorials may be made to Lakewood United Methodist Church.

Thomas Peacock

Thomas Peacock, 37, died Monday.

Survivors include his parents, Tony and Gloria Peacock.

Funeral services were Feb. 13, at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Henderson Cemetery in Pangburn. Arrangements by Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.

John L. Webber

John L. Webber, age 62, of Des Arc died Monday.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Webber; one son, Jeffery Webber; one daughter, Karen Wyatt; two brothers, George Webber, Leroy Webber; two sisters, Louise Roach, Faye Keathley; and two grandchildren.

Services were Thursday at First Baptist Church in Des Arc with burial in Hebron Cemetery by Garth Funeral Home.

Matilda F. Buchanan

Matilda F. Buchanan, 83, Lonoke, died Feb. 4, 2004.

Survivors daughter, Clara Watson; son, William Willis; sisters, Isabella Hines, and Clara Gober; and a brother, Cleo Love.

Funeral services were Feb. 14, at Jerusalem Church of God In Christ, Lonoke. Interment Lonoke Cemetery. Arrangements by Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home.

Boyce Mitchell Moore

Boyce Mitchell Moore, 36, of Cabot passed away February 22, 2004. He was preceded in death by his father, Boyce F. Moore. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Moore of the home; mother, Mrs. Boyce F. (Ann) Moore; sisters, Amy Lee (and Matthew) Gilliland of Ocean Springs, MS and Ann Marie Moore; grandmother, Westelle Moore of Blytheville; mother and father-in-law, Thomas and Grace Kulpa of Cabot; sister-in-law, Sherry (and Damian) Lux of Springfield, MA; nieces, Joyce Marie Klonts and Judy Carol Gilliland; dogs, Briquette, Spencer, Sidney; and cat, Hershey. Mitch attended the University of Arkansas, was an avid Razorback fan, and enjoyed traveling. He was co-owner of Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home and a Project Analyst at Maybelline-Garnier.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 25 from 6-8 p.m. at Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, 2403 McArthur Dr., Jacksonville. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.

Dave Moragne

Dave Moragne of Lonoke, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Willie Jean Moragne; one sister, Francis Moragne; and one brother, Willie Moragne both of North Little Rock; 11 children, Gwendolyn Cooney, Tina Carroll, Shelly Walker, Donald Moragne, of Lonoke; Ronald Moragne of Pine Bluff, Felecia Moragne, Dave Moragne, Robert Moragne of North Little Rock; Reginald Moragne of Little Rock; Carlton Moragne of Jacksonville; and Larry Johnson of Chicago, Ill.; 22 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was Saturday, Feb. 21, 11 a.m. Gateway Fellowship International, Lonoke. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Juanita Lingo

Juanita Norton Lingo, 77, departed this earth to be with her Heavenly Father February 18, 2004. She was a member of Steel Bridge Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her mother and father, Gladys and Bennie Norton of Lonoke, her beloved husband Harry (Scooter) Lingo of Lonoke, and her sister Lucille Ring of Overland Park, KS. She is survived by two sons, Jeff Lingo and his wife Athena, of Lonoke: David Lingo and his wife Robin, of Humboldt, TN: grandchildren, Greg Lingo and his wife, Amanda; Lindsay Lingo: and two great grandchildren Keith and Grant, all of Lonoke.

Also surviving her are five sisters Ruth Cook (Alfred) of Pine Bluff, AR, Owana Waddel, Lonoke, AR, Betty Brumett (Jude) of Bismarck, AR, Mary Grendell (Don) of Dardanelle, AR, Minnie Brown (Jimmy) of Grandbury, TX: Three brothers, Bennie Norton, Jr. (Nell) of Jasper, GA, Joe Norton (Pam) of Green Forest, AR, Don Norton (Joan) of Bryant, AR; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were at Boyd Funeral Chapel, 2 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2004. Burial followed in the Lonoke Cemetery. The family received friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Wilma Nadine Jones

Wilma Nadine Jones, of Lonoke County, was born October 24, 1920, and died February 18, 2004.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Lee Jones. She is survived by her daughter, Wilma Lea (Eutaw) Horton of Maumelle; her son, Wayne Jones, of Ward; four granddaughters, Holly Rogers and Mendy Dixon of Morrilton; Emilee and Alisha Jones of Ward; and three great-granddaughters.

Visitation was from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Graveside service was 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at Sylvania Cemetery, Ward.
