Cravens

HARRISBURG -- Elvie "Red" Cravens, 79, of Harrisburg died Thursday, May 31, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Alread, he was a retired farmer.

Survivors include one son, Douglas Cravens of Harrisburg; one daughter, Allene Cravens of Harrisburg; one brother, Bill Cravens of Missouri; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alvin Swan officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery .

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ingle

CHERRY VALLEY -- Ray Ingle, 73, of Cherry Valley died Thursday, May 31, at St. Bernard's Medical Center. He was a retired farmer and rancher and was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Newsom Ingle of the home; one son, Reggie Ingle of Marion; four daughters, Ellen Peeler of Vanndale, Venetta Ray Ingle of Forrest City, Jackie Ingle McCay of Millington, Tenn., and Connie Ingle of Southaven, Miss.; three sisters, Wilma Gama of Chicago, Virgie Pharris of Nashville, Tenn., and Diane Carr of Jackson, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Miller officiating. The body will be cremated.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

McJunkins

SARATOGA -- James McJunkins Jr., 81, of Saratoga died Thursday, May 31, at his home. He was an Army veteran of World War II with the 85th Airdrome Squadron, a member of Saratoga Church of Christ and was retired from Ideal Cement Plant in Okay.

Survivors include a son, James E. McJunkins of Jonesboro; four daughters, Sondra Cleghorn of Livingston, Ala., Gwen Webb of Columbus, Carol Braswell of Swifton and Wanda Hays of the Crossroad community; one brother, Lahron McJunkins of Texarkana; three sisters, Helen Smith of Oklahoma, Janie Fern Fincher of Saratoga and Sovilla Porter of Hope; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, with Harold Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Saratoga Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Saratoga Cemetery, c/o Dale Fincher, Saratoga, Ark. 71859.

Pack

Betty Jean Pack, 77, of Jonesboro died Thursday, May 31, at St. Bernard's Medical Center. Born at Lake City, she attended Dixie High School and was graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in elementary education. She taught for 20 years in the Lake City area and two years in Jonesboro. She moved to San Manuel, Ariz., in 1969, where she taught until retirement, amassing 54 years in education. She was named Arkansas Teacher of the Year in 1953 and was a member of the Nettleton Baptist Church.

Survivors include one brother, Bob Pack of Los Angeles.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Nettleton Baptist Church, with Dr. Ronnie Mayes and the Rev. Harold Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers will be Mike Watson, Jerry Cobb, Curt Watson, Ken Cobb, Doug Lancaster, John Yauger, Mike Hook and Richard Pearcy.

Honorary pallbearers will include deacons and members of the Fidelis II Sunday School Class at Nettleton Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Nettleton Baptist Church, Lake City Baptist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.

Sutterfield

NEWPORT -- Carl Edward Sutterfield, 72, of Newport died Friday, June 1, at Searcy. He was retired from Brown Jordan and was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Evelean Murphy Sutterfield of Newport; three sons, Carl Sutterfield of Newark, Billy Keith Sutterfield of Lonoke and Mickey Sutterfield of Remmel; five stepsons, Danny Kimberling, Ernie Kimberling, David McClellan and Chris McClellan, all of Newport, and Thurwood Junior McClellan of South Carolina; two daughters, Carolyn Morgan of Tuckerman and Helen Smith of Newport; two stepdaughters, Jane Brock of Newport and Mary Ross of Springdale; one brother, Lee Sutterfield of Fayetteville; two sisters, Dorothy Fisher of Newport and Mrs. Markel; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Watson Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Walker

RECTOR -- Ronnie Lee Walker, 18, died Thursday, May 31, at his home. Born at Paragould, he was a lifetime resident of Rector, a student and a Baptist.

Survivors include his parents, Allen and Diann Mills Walker of the home; and one brother, Robert Walker of Paragould.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the chapel of Irby Funeral Home of Rector, with the Rev. Ardell Polk officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery at Rector.

Pallbearers will be Scott Mitchell, Richard Mills, Tim Mills, Nathan Mills, Melvin Mills, Ken Mills. Honorary will be Wesley Mills, Ricky Mills, Leroy Mills and Harry Conway.

Wallace

Beatrice Wallace, 92, of Jonesboro died Thursday, May 31, at the Craighead Nursing Center. Born at Black Oak, she had lived in Jonesboro for the past 40 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church of Jonesboro.

Survivors include three sons, Ken Wallace of Jonesboro, Ellis Wallace of Hope and Jerry Wallace of Clarksville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert H. Wallace, and by one son.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Monette Cemetery, with Jimmy Adcox and Winston Burton officiating.

Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Paragould Children's Home.

Cooper

LAKE CITY -- Thomas A. Cooper, 80, of Lake City died Wednesday, Aug. 1, in Jonesboro. A retired school teacher and an Army Veteran of World War II, he lived in Hawthorne, Nev., before moving to Hardy and then Lake City in 1983.

Survivors include one son, Mickey Cooper of Memphis, Tenn.; one daughter, Lois Griffith of Lake City; one sister, Joy Compton of Paragould; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Fleming

KEISER -- Rose Mary Fleming, 76, of Keiser died Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Osceola. Born at Gray Ridge, Mo., she was a member of Keiser Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, W.R. Fleming of Keiser; three sons, Jerry Fleming of Keiser, Terry "Mack" Fleming of Jonesboro and Philip Fleming of Coppell, Texas; one daughter, Kay Fleming; three brothers, Russell Paschal of Memphis, David Paschal of Dell and Joe Paschal of Montgomery, Texas; one sister, Reida Berry of Columbus, Miss.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel of Roller-Swift Funeral Home in Osceola, with the Rev. Jim Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Hicks

HARTFORD CITY, Ind. -- Martha K. Hicks, 84, of Hartford City died Sunday, July 29, at Blackford County Hospital in Hartford City. Born at Corning, she was a factory worker and homemaker and was of the Pentecostal belief.

Survivors include her husband, Wendall Hicks of Redkey, Ind.; two stepsons, Wendall Hicks Jr. of Redkey and Roy Hicks of Muncie, Ind.; four stepdaughters, Chris Hawes, Carol Joan Robles, Vicky Needler and Sharon Hartley, all of Hartford City; one sister, Iva Walls of Corning; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel of Ermert Funeral Home in Corning, with the Rev. Billy Snow officiating. Burial will follow in Neelyville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Horn

Juanita Horn, 82, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, Aug. 1, at her residence. She was a homemaker and attended Walnut Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Robert Horn of Brookland; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Raymond Horn.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Pine Log Cemetery, with the Rev. Raymond Atwood officiating. Langford's Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Walnut Street Baptist Church Building Fund, Gideons International or St. Bernard's Hospice.
