Lance Alan Shaw
Lance Alan Shaw, age 31, of Mt. Vernon, died Friday, March 18, 2005. He was an electrician. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Jodi, his daughter, Ella “Makinley” and his son, Colton Briar both of the home; his father, Robert “Bob” Shaw, Sr. of Vilonia; his mother, Nancy Alberson of Romance; his brothers and sisters, Renee’ Lloyd Ridling, Kimberly Talley, Robby Shaw, Sherry Alberson, Paula Reshel and Kay Leitstra; his paternal grandparents, C.W. and Opal Shaw of Vilonia.
Visitation will begin noon Wednesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2005, at Victory Baptist Church, Cabot with burial in Hawthicket Cemetery
at Mt. Vernon.
William H. Scruggs
William Homer Scruggs, 81, of Beebe, Arkansas, passed away Monday, March 28, 2005. He was born May 7, 1923, to William Elmer and Ollie Scruggs. He worked thirty-seven years for Franklin Electrical Co. in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Homer was a member of First Baptist Church in Beebe, was a deacon and Sunday School teacher for fifty years, a World War II veteran and a 32nd degree Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Patricia Ann Scruggs Thurman.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-three years, Juanita Scruggs; two grandsons, Scot and wife Robyn Thurman of Columbia, South Carolina and Jeff Thurman of San Francisco, California; and one sister, Gladys and husband Boyd Reed of Beebe.
Visitation begins at 12 noon Wednesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2005, at First Baptist Church, Beebe, with burial in Sylvania Cemetery.

Steven R. Reaves
Steven Randel Reaves, age 42, died March 25, 2005. He was a veteran and worked in construction.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Sexton of Ward, one brother, Christ Reaves of Ward, one sister, Dianne Uli of Arroyo Calif.
Funeral services were March 29 at Wilson Funeral Home in England. Interment was at Union Valley, with pastor Gary Graves officiating.
Herman Lokey
Herman Lokey, 97, died March 24, 2005.
Survivors include one son, two daughters, one brother; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.

Louise Powell
Louise (Lucy) Huber Powell, age 64, of Austin, died March 26, 2005, after a courageous battle against lung cancer. She was a member of 16th Section United Methodist Church at Austin. A 1957 graduate of Stuttgart High School, Louise retired from U.S. Postal Service.
She is survived by a son, Paul Christian of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Wendy Nilsson of Richardson, Texas and Lisa Buckner of Fayetteville; three sisters, Margie Martin of Kyle, Texas, Crystal Huber of North Little Rock and Laura Huber of Maumelle; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at 16th Section United Methodist Church with burial in 16th Section Cemetery
by Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Family requests donations be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital or Beebe Humane Society, 707 Hwy 64 West, Beebe, AR 72012.
Nancy M. Sunderman
Nancy Mildred Sunderman, 67, died March 22, 2005.
She is survived by her husband, Robert ‘Red’ Sunderman; children, Christopher Cappue of Austin, Marty Chappue of Missouri, Diane Chappue of Oklahoma, and Robert W. Sunderman of Florida; brother, William Wilson of Virginia; and one grandson.
A memorial service was held March 26 at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel, Lonoke.

Aaron B. (A.B.) Rogers
Aaron B. (A.B.) Rogers, 87 of Jonesboro, died March 20, 2005, at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He was a member of the Valley View Church of Christ, in Jonesboro, and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.
His survivors include his wife, Maudie Robertson Rogers of the home; son, Robert Rogers of Cabot; daughter, Barbara Jaress of Jonesboro; brother, O.C. Rogers of Memphis, TN; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 24 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with burial following in the Jonesboro Memorial Park.

Daniel C. Miller
Daniel C. Miller, 90, of Cabot, died March 23, 2005.
His survivors include daughter, Carolyn McCarty; sons, Danny of Independence, MO, and Robert of Westville, IL; 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 26, at Edgewood Baptist Church in Danville, IL, with interment following at Springhill Cemetery
in Danville.

Sharon Ann Price, 56, of Cabot, died March 23, 2005.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Carmical; four grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Teffer, and Linda Miller.
Funeral services were held March 25, at the First Nazarene Church in Jacksonville. Interment was in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.

Carl E. Thomason
Carl E. Thomason, 76, of Rockdale, TX, died March 17, 2005.
He was a baker and a veteran of the Marines and Army.
Survivors include his wife, Delores Thomason of Rockdale, TX; sons, Jimmy Thomason and Carl Thomason, Jr., both of Reading, CA; daughters, Mary Ann Billy of Reading, CA, Diana Thomason of Washington, Loretta Chambers of Rockdale, TX; stepson, Mark Hull of Rockdale, TX; stepdaughter, Jan Houser of Pasadena, TX; brothers, Dean Thomason of Sheridan, Jim Thomason of Cabot, and Johnny Thomason of Ohio; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held March 24, in the Black Jack Volunteer Fire Department Station in Black Jack, TX.
Lee “Jitter” Bridgman
Lee “Jitter” Bridgman, 81, of Weldon, died March 26, 2005.
He was a member of the McCrory Church of Christ, a World War II veteran and a lifelong member of the VFW and DAV.
He is survived by his wife, Clydene Bridgman of Weldon; two sons, Dan Walker of Holly Grove, and Steven Lynn Bridgman of Weldon; daughters, Sue Henley of McCrory and Diane Cooper of Pell City, AL; sister, Lois Gipson of Carlisle; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 30 at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Sandhill Cemetery.
