Zora Wilson
Zora Wilson, 90, of Cabot, died Aug. 9, 2005. She was a homemaker and of the Apostolic Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by her children, Virginia Mahoney of Cabot; Eligah ‘Son’ Wilson of Little Rock, Betty Stain of Mountain View, and Larry Joe Wilson of Cabot; sister, Irene Fletcher of Lonoke; brother, Buddy Burlison of Little Rock; 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Aug. 12 at Cabot Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Harry Allen Norwood
Harry Allen Norwood, 70, of Jacksonville, died Aug. 13, 2005.
He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service and also retired from Hiwassie Manufacturing; a reserve police officer with the Jacksonville Police Department.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; sons, Frank Norwood of Florida, Gary Norwood of Lonoke; stepsons, Ricky and Darrell Butler both of Corning, and Mike Norwood of Virginia; stepdaughter, Linda Wilcut of Corning; brother, Dale Norwood of Bend, OR; two grandsons; and four stepgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held Aug. 15 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel followed by interment in Arkansas Memorial Gardens in North Little Rock.
Herman H. Curtis
Herman H. Curtis, 67, of Cabot, died Aug. 12, 2005.
He was a member of McArthur Assembly of God and a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Babe Curtis; son, Michael R. Curtis of McRae; daughters, Vickie Harrison and Tamlyn R. Pickens both of Blue Springs, MS; three brothers Norman and Donnie Curtis both of Little Rock and Gary Lee Curtis of Hot Springs Village; sister, Faye Price of Houston; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Aug. 16, at McArthur Assembly of God Church in Jacksonville. Interment followed in the Rest Hills Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home.

Melissa Chapman, 41, of Cabot (formerly of West Monroe, La.) died Aug. 13, 2005.
Funeral services will be held Wed., Aug. 17, at 10 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel at Batesville. Burial will be at the Barnes Cemetery
in Bethesda.
Annie Mae Homan
Annie Mae Homan, 78, of North Little Rock, died Aug. 13, 2005.
She is survived by her sons, James Homan of Cabot, Aubrey Homan of Sherwood, and John Wesley Homan of Washington state; daughter, Mary Jane Homan of Jacksonville; brother, William Drury of South Carolina; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wed., Aug. 17, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Chapel, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock. Burial will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
Callie Vivian Baker
Callie Vivian Smith Baker, 80, of Carlisle, died Aug. 14, 2005. She was a resident of Chambers Nursing Home in Carlisle, a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hazen and retired from Remington Arms in Lonoke.
Survivors include her sons, Eddie Baker of Lonoke and Billy Baker of Morrilton; daughters, Rita “Bunni” Carroll of Little Rock and Carolyn O’Brian of Champaign, IL; sisters, Ruth Woods of Carlisle, Chris Weems and Hazel Swilley of Hazen, and Jane Head of Keller, TX.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wed., Aug. 17, at Hamilton Baptist Church with burial in Hamilton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church, P.O. Betty Wilson
Betty Wilson, age 79, of Austin, Arkansas, died Wednesday, August 17, 2005, at the home of her daughter at Springdale. She was born July 14, 1926, at Mayflower to Everett and Violet Kitley. She lived much of her life in Stuttgart and in 1971, moved to Austin, where she lived until May of this year. She was an accountant for Remington Arms until her retirement in 1988, and she was a Methodist.
She was predeceased by her husband, James V. Wilson in 1999, her parents and a sister, Carol Schemensky. Survivors include a son, Mike Wilson and wife Mary of Ward, Arkansas; a daughter, Diana Gray and husband Mike of Springdale, Arkansas; a sister, Margie Jensen and husband Harold of Beebe, Arkansas; two grandsons, Scott Van Camp and Shawn Van Camp and wife Kim; a granddaughter, Sara Wilson and several nieces and nephews.
Family received friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral was officiated by The Reverend Denman Gillett at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 20, 2005, at Westbrook Funeral Home with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Beebe.

Marvin M. Harris
Marvin Marcell Harris, Sr., age 78, of Cabot, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005. At the age of 18 he entered the U.S. Navy where he received the WWII Victory Medal and the American Area Campaign Medal.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years Faye Harris; three sons: Marvin Harris Jr. of Cabot, Wayne Harris of Texas and Keith Harris of Cabot; two daughters: Geneva Hon of Texas and Carrie Lynn Hudson of Texas; three sisters: Iva Nell Adams, Juanita Gilliam, and Shirley Hill; two brothers: Carroll Harris and Larry Harris; nine grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren.
Visitation was Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005 at the funeral home. Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005 at Country Chapel Church with Brother Steve Zumalt officiating. Interment with military honors followed at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service.
Janice Adams
Janice Adams, 77, of Sherwood, died Aug. 16, 2005. She was a member of North Hills Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Tony Michael Traylor and Doug Traylor both of Sherwood; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Bernice Conway, and brother, Jim Hall, both of Cabot.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Thurs., Aug. 18, at the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Sumner Cemetery.

Stormie Lynn Mashburn, infant, of North Little Rock is survived by her parents, Larry Mashburn and Jennifer Evans; sisters, Brooke Evans and Sarah Mashburn; grandparents, Gary and Karen Spires; and great-grandmother, Katherine Evans.
Graveside services were held Aug. 19, 2005, at Weedon Cemetery
in Lonoke.

Bonnie M. Barnett
Bonnie Melzina Barnett, 90, of England, died Aug. 16, 2005.
She is survived by her sons, Bobby Barnett of Scott, Jerry Barnett of Vancouver, WA, and Roger Barnett of Cabot; daughters, Mary Thomas of Coy and Carolyn Bynum of Scott; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Aug. 18 at the Toltec Baptist Church, Scott with interment in the Keo Cemetery. Arrangements were by Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke.
Derrell Gene Cash
Derrell Gene Cash, 71, of Stuttgart, died Aug. 18, 2005.
He was born in Lonoke. He was a retired machinist and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Ethel George Cash of Stuttgart; sons, Eric Cash of Norfork, Phillip Cash of Batesville, and Kenny Cash of Stuttgart; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service was held Aug. 22 at the Lone Tree Cemetery
in Stuttgart. Arrangements were by Willis-Hays Funeral Service of Batesville.

James Patrick Kirk, Sr., 74, of Heber Springs died Aug. 18, 2005.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Kirk; sons, James Kirk, Jr., of Malden, IL, and Robert Kirk of Lonoke; daughters, Dianne Corbitt of Charlotte, NC, and Michelle Seaman of Heber Springs; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Aug. 22 at South Cross Roads Church in Hopewell, with burial in the Cross Roads Cemetery
in Hopewell. Heber Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
