Carlson

CHEROKEE VILLAGE -- Raymond E. Carlson, 74, of Cherokee Village died Thursday, Oct. 18, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. Formerly of West Plains, Mo., he was an Army veteran, a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the American Legion. He was the owner and operator of C & D Ceramics and Carlson Painting Company and a member of the Cherokee Village United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Carlson of Cherokee Village; five sons, Roger Carlson of Schandler, Ariz., Terry Carlson of Cleveland, Miss., Randy Hartman of Houston, Ricky Hartman of San Diego and Rodney Hartman of Biloxi, Miss.; two daughters, Cathy Buck of West Plains and Cristy Flies of Naperville, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and one grandson.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Heath Funeral Home in Hardy with the Rev. Jim West officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Covington

Erna Covington, 89, of Jonesboro died Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Regional Medical Center of NEA. He was a World War II Army veteran, a retired farmer, a past member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the First Christian Church in Jonesboro.

Survivors include one son, Tom Covington of Jonesboro; three daughters, Sue Winter of Little Rock, Bren McCullars of Jonesboro and Joan Fenaughty of Memphis; three sisters, Doris Ellis, Donna Ferguson and Helen Wilkins, all of Jonesboro; one brother, Walter "Bud" Covington of Jonesboro; five grandchildren, Dana Winter Bauer, Dawne Winter, Tim Covington, Michele Lawson and Alex Fenaughty; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Jonesboro with Dr. Jerry Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park under the direction of the Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.

Pallbearers will include David Bauer, Joel Fox, Allen Lawson, Tana Parks, Skip Covington, Steve Covington, Bill Wilkins and Tim Covington.

Visitation will be today from 5-7 p.m. at the Gregg Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

Green

HARRISBURG -- Patty Lou Green, 70, of Harrisburg died Friday, Oct. 19, at her home. Born at Hickory Ridge, she was retired from Johansen's Shoe Factory and of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include three sons, Jesse Woodrow Green Jr. of Shreveport, La., Steve Green of Little Rock, and Mike Green of Lake City; three daughters, Judy Kaye Garner and Karen Spiegel, both of Harrisburg, and Pamela Tedder of Jonesboro; two sisters, Sue Brand of Harrisburg and Reba McDonough of Memphis; two brothers, Earl Patton Jr. of Wynne and Elmer Patton of Forrest City; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Woodrow Green and one sister.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Colvin officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis Cemetery at Hickory Ridge.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Hart

OSCEOLA -- Anna Jean Hart, 70, of Osceola died Friday, Oct. 19, at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis. A homemaker, she was a member of First United Methodist Church in Osceola.

Survivors include her husband, James Hart of Osceola; two sons, Gary Hart and Buddy Hart, both of Osceola; one sister, Captola Carson of Florence, Ala.; one brother, Robert C. Foster of Albuquerque, N.M.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola with the Rev. Allen Rainey officiating. Roller-Swift Funeral Home in Osceola has charge of arrangements.

Visitation will begin Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Holland

KENNETT, Mo. -- Pearl Holland, 80, of Kennett died Saturday, Oct. 20, in Kennett. Born at Rector, she was a homemaker of the Pentecostal belief.

Survivors include five daughters, Dorathy Tuberville, Nancy McCarty, Orilla McDonald, Carolyn Smith and Joanna Burr; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wesley Holland, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector with the Rev. Kenneth Carnell officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Heights Cemetery at Rector.

Pallbearers will include Larry Smith, David Davis, Jason Smith, Jacob Kinnard and Rob Sharp.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Hon

OSCEOLA -- Margaret C. Trenthem Hon, 87, of Osceola died Saturday, Oct. 20, at Baptist Hospital in Osceola. Born in Oklahoma and formerly of Trumann, she was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God in Trumann.

Survivors include one son, James W. Trenthem Jr. of Osceola; one sister, Pearl Hopkins of Lamesa, N.M.; and two grandchildren, James Trenthem III of Osceola and April Trenthem Rocconi of Starkville, Miss.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Trenthem, her second husband, Ray Hon, two sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with the Rev. Kenneth Doke officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery at Jonesboro.

Pallbearers will include Carmack Johnson, Herb Maxwell, Dub Smith, Leroy Mabe, Ken Maxwell and Ron Maxwell.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Johnson

ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- Graveside services for Irene Rice Johnson, 73, of St. Charles who died Friday, Oct. 19, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in New Friendship Cemetery at Paragould under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Paragould.

Born at Paragould, she was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Leo Johnson of St. Charles; one son, Gene Johnson of Hayward, Wisc.; two daughters, Christine Davis of St. Charles and Patricia Seay of Goose Creek, S.C.; one brother, Donald Rice of St. Louis; two sisters, Agnes Briscoe of Robertsville, Mo. and Barbara Olive of Richwood, Mo.; four grandchildren, Vincent Davis, Katrina Bibb, Jennifer Johnson and Tristan Seay; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers will include Don Davis, Jared Seay, Matt Bibb, Vince Davis, Carlos Smith and Robert Sparks.

Visitation will be today from 5:30-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lawson

Gladys E. "Tood" Lawson, 85, of Jonesboro died Friday, Oct. 19, at her home. A homemaker, she was a lifetime resident of Jonesboro and a member of the Westside Home Extension Club. She was a charter member of the Strawfloor Baptist Church.

Survivors include two grandsons, Alan Lawson of Jonesboro and Stan Lawson of Powhatan; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, M.M. Lawson and two sons.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home with Harold Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include Jack Elam, Ben Elam, Robert Elam, Matt Elam, Shannon Henson and Ronnie Houston.

Honorary pallbearers will include the deacons of the Strawfloor Baptist Church.

Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Strawfloor Cemetery Association.
