John Colclasure, Jr.
John A. Colclasure Jr., 71, of Morgan, died Nov. 24, 2005.
He graduated from Carlisle High School and received a degree in Dental Technology at Southern Illinois University. He served in USAF as a crew chief on the B52 Bomber.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; brothers, Gerald of Carlisle, James of Greenbrier, and Dr. Dale Colclasure of Little Rock; and sisters, Susan Raper of Lonoke, and Sharon Jo of Greenbrier.

The body was cremated. There will be a celebration of his life Sun., Dec. 4, at 2 p.m., at the Masonic lodge, Hwy. 70, at Carlisle. Refreshments will be served. Friends and family are invited.

Arrangments by Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road North Little Rock.

Helen F. Harris
Helen F. Harris, 72, of Sherwood, died Nov. 26, 2005.
She was a member of First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock and a retired nursing assistant.

She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Harris; son, Robert Lee Harris, both of Sherwood; daughters, Linda Harris Brown of Cabot, Roxanne Andrews of North Little Rock, Mary Lou Hudspeth of Springdale and Melissa McPherson of North Little Rock; brother, Walter B. Krueger of Elgin, IL; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Nov. 29 at the First Pentecostal Church. Burial was in Rest Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements were by North Little Rock Funeral Home.

Charles Thompson
Charles “Chock” Thompson, 70, of Alexander, died Nov. 24, 2005. He retired from Colonial Bakery and was a member of Benton Pentecostal Church of God.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Hazel; son, Roger Thompson of Alexander; daughters, Charline Wyllia of Alexander, and Edna Brooks of North Little Rock; brother, Raymond Thompson of Shannon Hills; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Nov. 28 at Huson Funeral Home in Little Rock. Burial was in the Butler Cemetery.

Newman Williams
Newman C. Williams, 83, of Sheridan, died on Nov. 27, 2005. He was a lifelong member of Hope Pentecostal Church in Sheridan, and presently attended New Life Fellowship Pentecostal Church; a veteran of the Army, having served during WWII and was a retired grader operator for International Paper Company.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Wimberly Williams of the home; sons, Chester Newman Williams of Grapevine, and Eddie Joe Williams of Cabot; daughter, Loretta Gail Webb of Sheridan; sisters, Loretta Smith, Louise Bryant and Carolyn Reed, all of Sheridan; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Nov. 29 at Hope Pentecostal Church. Burial was in Lost Creek Cemetery. Arrangements were by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan.

Edith Eula Cerrato
Edith Eula Mae Cerrato, 84, of North Little Rock, died Nov. 27, 2005.
She is survived by her sons, Alfred Cerrato of Maumelle, and Terry Cerrato of Cabot; brother, Earl Moore of Quitman; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wed., Nov. 30, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Little Rock National Cemetery.

Van Pennington, Jr.
Van E. Pennington, Jr., 78, of Conway, died Nov. 27, 2005.
He was a christian, an Army veteran of the 82nd Airborne and served as the Sergeant at Arms for the Arkansas Senate during the 2005 Legislative session.
He is survived by his children, Michael Eldredge of Rogers, R. Kay Richards of Scott, Lisa Ann Marshall of Maumelle and Lori Van Lytle of Little Rock; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; companion and friend, Jackie Maxwell of North Little Rock; and brothers, W.J. Pennington of North Little Rock and Jim Pennington of Cabot.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thurs., Dec. 1, at the Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway officiated by Rev. Jim Keith with burial in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wed., Nov. 30.

Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital or to the Arkansas Kidney Foundation. Graveside military honors provided by the United States Army Honors Team.

Lowman Lewis Wylie

Lowman Lewis Wylie, 78, a lifetime resident of Cabot, went to be with the Lord Thursday, December 1, 2005. Born September 17, 1927, Lowman was a dairy farmer, served 2 years in the U.S. Army and retired as a maintenance welder for Vertac Chemical Company after 30 years. Lowman was a Deacon, Councilman and charter member of Christ Worship Center Church of Cabot. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Florence Wylie, and sister Donie Goforth.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Agnes Brannon Wylie; four children, Roy Wylie (Mary) of Cabot, Jerry Wylie (Judy) of Conway, Jack Wylie (Toni) of Beebe, Doris Roach of Dover; and brother Pete Wylie of Cabot; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services were Sunday, December 3 at Christ Worship Center Church, Pastor Tom Heffner and Pastor Howard Smith officiating. Burial was at Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Sharon Kay Allen

Sharon Kay Allen (Owens), age 58, of Austin, Arkansas, departed this life Sunday, December 4, 2005.

She is survived by her husband David Allen of Austin; three siblings, Jessie Owens of Austin, Ruth Ann Thompson of Little Rock and Brenda Burr of Ward; three children, Cyndy Rogers of Ward, Greg Pruett, Sr. of Austin and Kevin Pruett of Ward; one stepson, Brendan Allen of Melbourne, Australia; four grandchildren, Greg Pruett, Jr. and Jordan Pruett, both of Austin, Shaylece Pruett and Dawson Rogers, both of Ward; three step-grandchildren, Chelsey Shelton and Logan Shelton, both of Austin and Cole Rogers of Ward.
She will be loved and missed by all.

Family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at Austin Church of Christ, with burial in Stoney Point Cemetery.

Linda Sue Singley

Linda Sue Singley, 47 of Cabot died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005 in North Little Rock. Linda graduated from Cabot High School in 1977. Mrs. Singley has served 28 years with the Air Force National Guard and 11 years with the U.S. Air Force. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Cabot.

She is survived by her husband, Les of the home; two sons, Shane and Chris Micheli of Cabot; one granddaughter; five sisters, Stella Stout of Cabot, Della Smith of Waverly, Miss., Nora Hernandez of San Antonio, Texas, Brenda Enis of Missouri, Loretta Norwick of Cabot; brother, Michael Micheli of Cabot; mother-in-law, Lois Havard of North Little Rock; father- in-law, Samuel L. Singley of North Little Rock.

Graveside services were Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cabot. Send contributions to: Family Support Services, 112 Chief Williams Drive, Suite 103, Little Rock Air Force Base, 72099-4802. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home.

Rosie Mae DeWhitt

Rosie Mae DeWhitt of Carlisle, was born July 1, 1918 and went to her eternal rest on November 30, 2005. She was known as “Ma Rosie” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her family and home and lived to enjoy them all her days.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters, Carolyn (Don) Flynn of Carlisle, Verda Mae (Joe) Caviness of Hazen, Barbara Crook of Little Rock and Sue (James) Allison of The Villages, Florida; one sister, Eula Dean Holcomb of Paragould; two brothers, Jerry Terry of Paragould and Melvin Terry of Flint, Michigan; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 3, 2005 at the Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Hazen. Burial was in the Center Point Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harlan Caviness, Jason Caviness, Terry Choat, Coy Flynn, Jimmy Allison and David Martin. Arrangements were by Westbrook Funeral Home of Hazen.

Memorials may be bake to the Church of Christ in Carlisle.

Dale Lynn Curry

Dale Lynn Curry, 50, of Lonoke died Saturday, December 3, 2005. He was born August 17, 1955 in Carlisle. Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles and Margaret Curry.

He is survived by his two sons, Adam Bryce Curry of Jonesboro, and Jonathan Dale Curry of Wynne. He is also survived by a brother, Ken and wife Cindy Curry of Cookeville, TN; sister, Anita and husband Joey Wilson of Lonoke; two nieces and three nephews and close friend Frances Lynn Byrd.

Dale was a member of Lonoke First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting with his sons and was an avid Arkansas Razorback and Lonoke Jackrabbit fan.

The family received friends Monday, December 5, from 6-8 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke. The funeral service was 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lonoke First United Methodist Church with interment following in Lonoke Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lonoke First United Methodist Church.

Raymond F. Bernt

Raymond F. Bernt, 92, of Jacksonville, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005. A Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus, Neb. Interment in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Columbus. Memorials are suggested to St. Isidore Catholic Church or St. Jude Catholic Church in Jacksonville.

Bernt entered the U.S. Navy and served during WWII from 1944-1945. He owned his own sheet metal business over 20 years in Columbus before retiring to Jacksonville in 1988. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Jacksonville and a member of the order of Eagles.

Survivors include sons, Ronald Bernt of Cabot, John Bernt of Columbia, Mo., Gustaf Bernt of Beebe; daughters, Judy Davis and Donna Aldrich of Jacksonville; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

Mary Susan Parvin

Mary Susan Parvin, age 57, of Kentucky, a native of Lonoke, died Nov. 29, 2005.

Survivors include; husband Gary Parvin; sons, Jon Parvin of Kansas and Chad Parvin of Virginia and three grandchildren.

Visitation was Sunday, Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Funeral service, Monday, Boyd Chapel, Interment in Lonoke Cemetery.
