Irene Lea Altwegg

Irene Lea Rosenbalm Altwegg, 98, of North Little Rock, died Dec. 26, 2005.
She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church of North Little Rock.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia J. Calnan of Rogers; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Flora Mae Whitlock, Mary Ellen Gibson, Geraldine Poe; and brother, William Poe of Cabot.

Memorial may be made to “Circle of Life” Hospice and the Alzheimer’s Organization.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Sat., Jan. 7, 2006, at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Fri., Jan. 6, at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170.

Cheryl Prince

Cheryl Brandt Prince, 59, of Magnolia, died Dec. 27, 2005. She was a member of Magnolia Christian Center.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Royce Prince of Magnolia; sons, John R. Prince of Little Rock; Brandt Daniel Prince of Tanzania, Africa; daughter, Royce Anne Henley of Houston, TX; parents, John Henry and Odene Brandt of Carlisle; brother, Edward Brandt of Batesville; sister, Barbara Kilgore of Claremont, CA; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Dec. 30 at Magnolia Christian Center. Burial was Dec. 31 at the Carlisle Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Agape Missionary Alliance at P.O. Box 22007, Little Rock, Ark., 72221.

Adam Neal O’Hare

Adam Neal O’Hare, 26, of Lubbock, TX, died Dec. 24, 2005.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Julie Vlasak of Big Piney, WY; son, Ethan; brothers, Curtis O’Hare of Lonoke and Jon and Joey Vlasak of Calif.; grandparents Bob and Sue Mc-Donald; and great-grandmother Dollie Ruth McDonald.

Funeral services were held Dec. 29 at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Lonoke Cemetery.

Ruby Aline Turner

Ruby Aline Dixon Turner, 89, of Tichnor, died Dec. 25, 2005. She was a graduate of Gillett High School, a member of the Gillett Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Bobby Turner, Tichnor, and Butch Turner, Cabot; daughter, Kay Susan Hollman, Cabot; sister, Aline Ellenberg, DeWitt; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Dec. 28 at Gillett Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Gillett Methodist Church Choir.

Joyce A. Beene

Joyce Alberta Beene, 74, of Cabot, died Dec. 30, 2005. She was a retired school teacher for the Pulaski County School District and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cabot.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmie L. Beene; son, James D. Beene of Cabot; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Carolyn Fiser of Alexander.

Funeral services were held Jan. 2 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home. Interment followed at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Wooster.

Billy W. Burrow, Sr.

Billy W. Burrow, Sr., 53, of Cabot, died Dec. 29, 2005.
He is survived by his sons, Billy Burrow Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA, Kenneth Burrow of Oregon, Bryan Burrow of Cabot; brother, Patrick Carpenter of Little Rock; sister, Donna McKinzie of Pine Bluff; and one granddaughter.

Memorials may be made in Billy W. Burrow Sr.’s name to CARTI Foundation, P.O. Box 55011, Little Rock, Ark. 72215.

Funeral services were held Jan. 3 at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Rest Hills Memorial Park.

William Henderson

William Nathan Henderson, 76, of Cabot, died Jan. 1, 2006.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; daughter, Deborah; son, Kip; his children’s mother, Velma; and five stepdaughters.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wed., Jan. 4, with church visitation prior to service at the LDS Chapel in Jacksonville. Burial will follow at Griffin Leggett Rest Memorial Park, North Little Rock, Ark.

Memorial donations may be made to any charity.

Virginia R. Aldridge

Virginia Rose Aldridge, 80, of Heber Springs, died Jan. 1, 2006. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Heber Springs, a member of the Home Extension Club and Garden Club.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Aldridge, of Heber Springs; daughters, Marilyn Pettit of Heber Springs, Vicki Lowe of Nashville, TN, and Luanne Birdsong of Searcy; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thurs., Jan. 5, at First Baptist Church in Heber Springs and burial will follow at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc.

Joe Kelly Hardin

Joe Kelly Hardin, 55, of Benton, died Dec. 26, 2005.
He practiced law for 25 years in Saline County, was a former prosecuting attorney and public defender.

Survivors include his wife, Kim Hardin; son, Hunter Hardin; daughter, Shelby Hardin all of Benton; brother, Gary Hardin of Ward; sisters, Pam Bennett and Laurie Watts both of Benton.

Funeral services were held Dec. 30 at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with burial at New Rosemont Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Alcohol Anonymous and to the First Baptist Church of Benton Building Fund.

Roxanne J. Simpson

Roxanne J. Simpson, loved by all, born April 30, 1956, left Mother Earth on January 8, 2006. She is survived by her loving family; daughters, Brandy Jo Wiggins and Mandy Dale Thomas; son, Jeremy Robert Thomas; mother, B.J. Simpson; sister, Judy Moff; brothers, Joseph Hunter, Robby Simpson and twin brothers, Ricky and Ronnie Simpson; and grandchildren, Chase Nicole, Shelby Lynn and Mackenzie Dale.

Services are pending.

She will forever be in our hearts.

Charles B. Ready

Charles Barnett “Bonnie” Ready, 61, of North Little Rock, died Jan. 4, 2006.
He is survived by his wife Rebecca Ann (Clay) Ready; children, Carol Miller and Charles Dewayne Ready; two granddaughters; siblings, Norris Hollis, Sr., James Ready, Florene Woods, Zelda Jones, Jewell Horton of North Little Rock, Thelma Joshua of Maumelle, Marvia Dagger, Algerina Loving, Gladistine Allison of Jacksonville, Cornell Ready, Nadine Simmonos and Doretha Oliver all of Chicago.

Funeral services were Sat., Jan. 7, at 11 a.m. at Hardy Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Visitation was held Fri., Jan. 6, until 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
Arrangements by Hardy Funeral Home, 6000 Camp Robinson Rd., North Little Rock.

Willie L. Smith, Jr.

Willie Lee Smith, Jr., 27, of Lonoke, died Jan. 3, 2006.
He was a 1997 graduate of Lonoke High School, attended Shorter College and Arkansas Tech University and was united with Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church of Lonoke and later St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church of Scott.

Survivors include his mother, Dorine Gatewood Smith of Lonoke; father, Willie (Bubba) Smith, Sr., of Jacksonville, FL; grandparents, Lewis and Lillie Gatewood of Lonoke; and Annie Mae Edwards of Jacksonville.

Funeral services were held Sat., Jan. 7, at 12 noon at New Jerusalem C.O.G.I.C. Lonoke.

The family received friends Fri., Jan. 6, from 6 until 7 p.m. at the church. Services entrusted to Premier Funeral Home, 1518 S. Battery St., Little Rock, Ark.

Eutha Jean Snelling

Eutha Jean Snelling, 77, of Cabot died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006. Mrs. Snelling was a licensed practical nurse and worked many years for Baptist Health Systems. She was a member of the second graduating class of the Baptist Health School of Nursing.

Six children and five grandchildren survive Mrs. Snelling. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Snelling’s wish was to be cremated.
