G.T. Bradshaw

G.T. Bradshaw, 90, of Wright, died April 24, 2006.

He was a retired farmer and a member of Plum Bayou Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Muriel Dean Bostian Bradshaw; sons, Jerry Bradshaw of Maumelle and Matt Bradshaw of Austin; daughters, Joyce Clubbs and Sandra Duerson, both of England, Betty Gillespie of Altheimer, Kathy Yarbrough of Maumelle and Faith Fields of Conway; stepson, Roger Bodenheimer of Stuttgart; stepdaughters, Gail Anderson of Batesville, Cathy Patterson of Redfield, and Kelley Bodenheimer of Wright; sister, Mandy Lorene Freeman of Ladd; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held May 2 at Plum Bayou Baptist Church. Burial was in the Mulberry Cemetery at England by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services of Pine Bluff.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 5600 W. 12th Street, Little Rock 72204; or Plum Bayou Baptist Church, P.O. Box 129, Wright, Ark. 72182.

Madge Lou Crain

Madge Lou Frances Crain, 80, of Sheridan, died April 25, 2006. She was employed by the VA Hospital, Arnold’s Beauty Supplies, Miller’s Flowers and Doctor Jimmy Chang.

Survivors are her husband of 62 years, Archie A. Crain; son, Michael A. Crain of Yellville; daughter, Cheryl Haynes of Sheridan; daughter, Lisa Chang of North Little Rock; sister, Berthel Miller of Cabot; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held April 28 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
Arrangements were by the North Little Rock Funeral Home.

Stanley F. Pikarsky

Stanley Felix Pikarsky, 81, of Cabot, died April 25, 2006.

He was a veteran and served his country during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He retired as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He was also a retired U.S. Postal Service employee and a long time resident of Hot Springs.

He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Williamson of Cabot, Susan Suits of Conway, and Sharon White of Laverne, CA; brothers, John Pekarsky of Mt. Airy, NC, and Donald Pekarsky of Miami, FL; sister, Marion Lasko of Sayreville, NJ; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services were held May 1 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Home Care Foundation, 1501 N. University, Suite 340, Little Rock, Ark. 72207, designated for the Little Rock Inpatient Facility.
Arrangements were by Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home.

Loretta M. McQueen

Loretta Marie McQueen, of Sherwood/Cabot, died April 27, 2006.

She is survived by her children Jean, Joan and June Warner, Cindy Conto and David McGuire all of Wisconsin, and Rick and Doug Dillman of Cabot, Lori Dillman of Iowa and Brian McGuire of North Little Rock; 20 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Bruch, and Marie Radtke; and brother Edwin Wanners.

Funeral services were held May 1 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home in North Little Rock.

Viola M. Richardson

Viola M. Richardson, 85, of Little Rock, died April 27, 2006.

She was a retired employee of Timex and a member of New Hope Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Richardson of Cabot, Jerry Richardson of Benton and Jim Richardson of Little Rock; daughters, Carolyn Lester of Alexander and Sharon Morris of Little Rock; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Bonnie George of Pocola, OK.

The funeral service was held May 1 at New Hope Church of the Nazarene. Interment was in the Pinecrest Memorial Park. Arrangements were by Roller-Drummond Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to New Hope Church of the Nazarene, 5519 Atwood Road, Little Rock, Ark., 72206.

Goldie Laura Sewell

Goldie Laura Sewell, 88, of North Little Rock, formerly of Paris, died Aril 27, 2006.

She is survived by her daughters, Lila Mulkey of Cabot and Katie Dukes of Kountz, TX; and sister, Nellie Boade of Omaha, NE.

Cremation arrangements are by Roller-Owens Funeral Home, North Little Rock.

Caleb Andrew Sims

Caleb Andrew Sims, 7, of Lonoke, died April 28, 2006. He was a student at Lonoke Primary School, and he attended Lonoke First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his parents, Adam and Laurie Sims; brother, Cody Sims; grandparents, J.D. and Dorothy Sims, and Johnny and Sandra Felton; and great-grandmother, Annie Harvey, all of Lonoke.

His transitional service was held May 2 at Lonoke First Baptist Church. Burial was in the Concord Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, 800 Marshall St., Little Rock, Ark. 72202.

Arrangements were by North Little Rock Funeral Home.

Mildred Louise Sims

Mildred Louise Sims, 80, of Cabot, died April 30, 2006. She was retired from Tillers Nursing Home in Oswego, IL, and was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her sons, Richard Sims Jr. of Mineola, TX, Don Sims, Sr., and Edward Sims, Sr., both of Ward, and Jimmy Sims of Gatesville, TX; daughter, Shirley Lents of Ward; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Wanda Moody of Beebe and Madie Whittenburg of Carlisle.

Funeral will be 2 p.m., Wed., May 3, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial at 2 p.m. Fri., May 5 in Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora, Ill.

Sammy Gene Neal

Sammy Gene Neal, 63, died May 6, 2006 in his home. He was a retired truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Neal; sons, Matt Neal of Austin, Dwayne Teague of Clarksville, and Gary Teague of Spiro, OK; daughters, Samantha Campbell of Austin, Carla Brooks of Mabelvale and Janet Teague of Clarksville; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, his mother, Eva Neal of Searcy; sisters, Kathy Stone of Emporia, KS and Linda Hughes of Kensett; brothers, Jim Neal of Judsonia and David Neal of Springdale.

Graveside services were May 9, 2006 at Oak Grove Cemetery by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Arkansas Hospice.

Tommy Tygart

Tommy Tygart, age 71, of Cabot. Tommy was born September 19, 1934 in Woodson, to the late Joe T. and Iva Lester Tygart. Tommy lost his battle with cancer on May 3, 2006.

He lived most of his adult life in Little Rock and Cabot. Was a member of Baugh Chapel Baptist Church, a Veteran Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne U.S. Army during the Korean War and he owned and operated several businesses: Tommy’s DX in Little Rock, John & Andy’s Café in Little Rock and Cabot Carpet Cleaners. He was a Little League Coach at the Jr. Deputy Baseball Complex in the early 1970s. He was a person with many talents, Sunday School teacher, Ironworker, Mechanic, Truck Driver, Cook, Carpet Cleaner, Musician and Songwriter. He recorded songs in Nashville, Tenn. He wrote 4 songs that are copyrighted with BMI. One song went to #2 in Denmark and one song #5 on the Foreign Charts.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one niece Dana Coney.

Survivors include his loving wife Phyllis McClure Tygart of the home; son Jody and Melissa Tygart; daughter Amanda and Scott Johnson; grandson, Adin Thomas Tygart and granddaughter Hannah Avery Johnson all of Cabot; three brothers: Billy Tygart of Woodson, R.L. Tygart of Shirley and Sam Tygart of Hensley; three sisters: Aline Stone of Little Rock, Priscilla Carlton of Woodson and Macele Howard of Hensley; several nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.
Visitation was held Thursday, May 4, 2006 from 1 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside services were held 11 a.m., Friday, May 5, 2006 at Hunt’s Cemetery in Rover with Rev. Herbert Sughert officiating. A special thanks to Baptist Hospice. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service 713 South Second St. Cabot (501) 941-7888.

Ruby Mae Crane

Ruby Mae Crane, 76, of Lonoke died Saturday, May 6, 2006. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Cabot. Ruby retired as a telephone operator after more than 22 years of service with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.

Survivors are her husband of 41 years, Tommy L. Crane; daughter, Jeannie L. Jackson of Broken Arrow, OK; son, Billy L. Davenport of Lonoke; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and her brother Ted Arnett of Lonoke.
Graveside services were 2 p.m., Wednesday at Hamilton Cemetery with Bro., Paul Maddox officiating. The service was to be changed to Hamilton Baptist Church if weather required. The family requests donations be made to Hamilton Cemetery fund.

Charles Leverl Goza

Charles Leverl Goza, 73, of Cabot, passed away Friday, May 5, 2006 at his residence in Cabot. He was born on December 8, 1932 in Walnut Ridge, AR to the late Arkey Willis and Jessie Mae Wallin Goza. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was the Plant Manager for Jet Screen in Paragould and worked for Mid Delta Community Services in Helena for over twenty years. He is a member of the Cabot Church of Christ. Mr. Goza is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Jerry and Carroll Goza.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Isabell Goza of the home, a daughter, Melinda Holmes and her husband Patrick of Cabot, brother, Sammy Goza of Russellville, sisters; Bernice Henderson and Lovan Arnold both of Swifton, two grandchildren; Charles Stokes U.S. Army, Alaska and Daniel Holmes of Cabot as well as a host of other friends and family.

Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2006 at the Cabot Church of Christ with Bro. Bruce Green officiating. Interment followed in Swifton Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
