Doyle DeLamar
Doyle DeLamar, age 89, of Manning died on May 21, 2006. Doyle was preceeded in death by his wife, Evelyn, and son, Kenneth, three brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, daughter, Beverly (Gene) Ketchum of Lonoke, grandchildren, Geno Ketchum of Lonoke, Pam (Bryant) Steele of Lonoke, Steven and Sandra Martin of California, great-grandson, Wesley Mathis, of Lonoke, sisters, Bobbie Powell of Searcy, and Allene Pickard of West Memphis, stepchildren, Kenneth (Vivian) Seale of Sparkman, Roger (Charlotte) Seale of Manning, Catherine (Wilton) Furr of Friendship, and nine step-grandchildren. Doyle was a member of Manning Baptist Church.
Services were Wednesday, May 24, at 2 p.m. at Manning Baptist Church. Burial was at DeLamar Cemetery. Visitation was at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Tuesday from 6-8.
Michael Allan Cole
Michael Allan Cole, age 44 died May 16, 2006. Mike loved fishing, hunting, camping and being with his friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Cole; two brothers, Clyde and Chuck Cole and one sister, Phyllis Cole .
Survivors include his mother, Opal Cole of Carlisle; one son, Eric Cole of Carlisle; three brothers, Earnest (Petra) Cole of Germany, Tim (Toni) Cole of Carlisle, Lester Cole of Humnoke; and two sisters, Vickie (Billy) Madar and Kathy Cole Parker of Carlisle and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services were 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2006 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke with interment in Hamilton Cemetery. A visitation was held Friday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Roger K. Lott
Roger Keith Lott, 45, of Brown Grove died May 17, 2006.
He was a 1979 honor graduate of Carlisle High School and a member of the Hickory Plains Missionary Baptist Church. He was the tenor singer of Solid Ground Gospel Quartet and an ordained preacher. He was also owner and operator of Roger Lott Painting.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannie; two sons, Joshua Keith Lott and Jacob Andrew Lott; two daughters, Chelsea Lee Lott and Cayla Nicole Lott, all of the home; parents, Leonard and Janetta Lott of Brown Grove; four brothers, Randy Lott of Sheridan, Ricky Lott of San Antonio, Texas, Ronnie Lott of Jacksonville and Robert Lott of Carlisle; and two grandchildren.
Visitation was May 19 at Garth Funeral Home in Des Arc. Funeral services were Saturday, May 20, at Hickory Plains Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Tommy Camp and Bro. James King officiating. Burial in Center Point Cemetery
with Bro. Doyle Fort officiating.
A.J. (Abe) Summers
A.J. (Abe) Summers, 80, of Memphis, TN, died Sat, May 20, 2006 in Memphis. He was retired from East Texas Motor Freight and a World War II Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Lura Marphew Summers, two daughters; Trena Summers and Nicole Gary, two sisters; Margie Sowell and Wilma Smith, both of Cabot and one brother, J.L. Summers of York, NB.
Graveside services were Tuesday May 23, 2006 at Chapel Hill Cemetery
in Jacksonville.

Fred H. Bethea
Fred Harrison “Monk” Bethea, 85, of Pine Bluff, died May 20, 2006. He was a yard clerk for Cotton Belt Railroad for 40 years before retiring in 1981. He was currently employed part-time at Car-Mart, where he had worked for several years and was a member of Carr Memorial United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Brown Culpepper Bethea of Pine Bluff; sons, Michael Frank Bethea of Maumelle, and William Carroll Bethea of Conway; daughters, Nova Ann Brooks of Manhattan, KS., and Christy Nouzovsky of Woodlawn; sister, Lois Lucas of San Bernardino, CA; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wed., May 24, 10 a.m., in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Rev. Mary Susan Hilliard officiating. Interment will follow in Bellwood Cemetery.
The family has requested that memorials take the form of contributions to Carr Memorial United Methodist Church, 909 Wisconsin Street, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71601.
Corene Wingate
Corene Wingate, age 91, of Fort Smith, died Saturday, May 20, 2006. She was a lifelong member of First Christian Church of Fort Smith.
She is survived by three daughters, Susie Flake of Fort Smith, Kay Williams of Kansas City, Mo., and Sarah Hagge of Cabot; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral service was Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at First Christian Church in Fort Smith with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery
under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.

Willie O’Dell
Willie O’Dell, 90, passed away May 20, 2006. She was born July 15, 1915 in Filmore, OK. She is preceded in death by her husband, Everett O’Dell.
Survivors include her daughter, Nona Richard and husband Ray of Lonoke;
granddaughter, Staci Cox, and great-granddaughter, Carli Cox both of Lonoke; her sister, Maxine Landram of Duncan, OK., and several nieces and nephews.
Services were 2:00 pm, Monday, May 22, 2006 at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel in Lonoke with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family received friends at the daughter’s home at 2872 Hwy. 31 North, Lonoke.
Sue Carol Scroggs
Sue Carol Stacks Scroggs, 72, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., died Saturday, May 20, 2006. She retired from PCA International, where she was a photography consultant. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Oak Ridge.
She is survived by one son, Jim Scroggs of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; three daughters, Judy Finley of Loudon, Tenn., LuAnn Pitt of Cabot and Kathy McCleery of Ventura, Calif.; one sister, Pat Ramsey and husband Johnny of East End; four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at Bethel Cemetery
in Sheridan.

Aubrey Rozell Lang, infant, died May 14, 2006.
She is survived by her parents, Scott M. and Nikki R. (Hamby) Lang of Vilonia; grandparents, John and Debbie Hamby and Scott R. and Lisa Lang, all of Vilonia; and great-grandparents, Franklin and Rozell Williford of Jacksonville, Sandra Snell of Buffalo, NY, and Gene and Wanda Lang of Cabot.
Graveside services were held Wed., May 17, at 3 p.m. at Mt. Chapel Cemetery
in Jacksonville with Rev. Paul McClung officiating. Memorials may be made to the Baptist Health Medical Center Foundation for the NICU.

Kenneth E. Sontag, 74, of Vilonia, died May 16, 2006.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret “Cotton” Sontag; daughters, Vicki Worley of Springdale, and Sheri Sontag of Mabelvale; son, Gary Sontag of Cabot; sisters, Carolyn Bolin, Hazel Wilson, and Betty Sanders; brothers, David Sontag and Charles Sontag; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held May 18 at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Arrangements were by Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood.

Zane Axle Kendrick, infant, died May 15, 2006.
Survivors include his parents, Magen Kendrick and Danny Fricker; maternal grandparents Tammara Kendrick and Richard Kendrick; paternal grandparents, Vickie Rollins, Larry Fricker and Charles Rollins; maternal great-grandparents, Marylin Kelly and Cecil Calvert; paternal great-grandparents, Brenda Metcals, James Fricker and Donna Fricker.

near Carlisle. Arrangements were by Roller-England Funeral Home.
Wilda Lou Hobby
Wilda Lou Thornton Hobby, 83, of North Little Rock, died May 21, 2006. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a longtime employee of Twin City Bank.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Elmer H. Hobby, Jr.; daughters, Neila Jane Hobby, of North Little Rock and June Skinner of Austin; four grandchildren; and three great-grandsons.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wed., May 24, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park.
Arrangements are by North Little Rock Funeral Home.
