Samaya Diane Lyon Woods
Samaya Diane Lynn Woods, infant daughter of Troy Woods and Laura Ballard of Stuttgart was born and died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, at Stuttgart Regional Medical Center.
Besides her parents, she is survived by brothers, Troy Woods Jr. and Jordan Woods; sisters, Trinity Faith Applewhite, Trey Brianna Woods and Kaitlin Woods; and grandparents, George and Tammy James of DeWitt, Kenneth Ballard of Lonoke and Carol Woods of Little Rock.
Graveside services, officiated by Kevin Nobles, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at DeWitt Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.

Donald L. Shirkey
Donald Leroy Shirkey, 70, of Stuttgart died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at Crestpark Retirement Center.
Mr. Shirkey was born June 16, 1938, to Lester L. and Dorothy L. Reitz Shirkey, who preceded him in death. He was a Lutheran.
Survivors are his brother, Charles Shirkey and his wife Sherry of Humphrey.
A graveside service, officiated by the Rev. Johnny Graham, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Ulm Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Turpin Funeral Home.
The family requests memorials to Zion Lutheran Church in Ulm.

Joseph Clifton "Pete" Castleberry
DEVALLS BLUFF - Joseph Clifton “Pete” Castleberry, 68, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at Stuttgart Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Castleberry was born July 12, 1940, in DeValls Bluff to Bedford and Gracie Lee Brooks Castleberry. He was retired from Southern Pacific Railroad as a train master and served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Castleberry.
Survivors are his wife, Linda Kay Dobbins Castleberry; one son, Joey Castleberry of Stuttgart; his mother, Gracie Lee Castleberry of DeValls Bluff; three brothers, Brooks Castleberry of DeValls Bluff, Ray Castleberry of Altheimer and Gerald Castleberry of Heber Springs; three sisters, Doris Downs of Lonoke and Charlotte Tipton and Marsha Snyder of Stuttgart; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with burial following in Oakland Cemetery.

Homer "Bud" Rubach
Homer C. “Bud” Rubach, 70, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Oct, 23, 2008, at Baptist Health in Little Rock.
Born Nov. 1, 1937, in Stuttgart, he was a lifelong resident of Arkansas County and an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ulm. An employee of Potlatch, he retired in 1991 as a kiln operator. He was an Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Stella Rubach.
Survivors are his wife, Jean Rubach; one sister, Bettye (Joe) Haller of El Reno, Okla.; one daughter, Donna (Scott) Tefteller of Stuttgart; one son, Greg (Cindy) Rubach of Arkadelphia; two step-daughters, Cindy (Kenny) Scherm and Tina (Don) Morris of Stuttgart; three step-sons, Heath (Leah) Beck of Vilonia, Brent (Sara) Beck of Buford, Ga., and James Butler of Stuttgart; granddaughters, Kaitlyn Rubach of Arkadelphia and Tori Tefteller of Stuttgart;. 11 step-grandchildren, Amanda Coleman, Jenny Barger, Danielle Blankenship, Robin, Lacy and Jacob Butler, Elijah and Gabrielle Beck, Jessica and Trent Morris and Mason Beck; and three step-great-grandchildren, Julianna and Jada Rogers and Karlie Coleman.
Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Johnny Graham, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church with burial following in Ulm Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Ulm.

Carol Sue Raab Page
Carol Sue Raab Page, age 73, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.
She was born May 30, 1935, to John and Beulah Vickers Raab and had been a lifelong resident of the Stuttgart area. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Quill Raab; and two sisters, Georgia Scherm and Johnnie Eddins.
Survivors are her husband, Johnnie Page; two sons Scott Page of Stuttgart and Tracy Page (Trina) of Aubrey, Texas; one daughter, Kimberly Page Fackler (Bobby) of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Ila Watkins (Wade) of Santa Cruz, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Colton Taylor Page (7 yrs.), Caden Key Page (4 yrs).
Funeral services, officiated by Dr. Sam Roberts, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Lone Tree Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Monday at Turpin Funeral Home. The family suggests that memorials be sent to the American Heart Association or to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Carol Sue Raab Page, our new guardian angel, will always be remembered as a sincere, sensitive and loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend to many. With her quiet, surprising sense of humor, she knew how to get a smile out of anyone. She made every family occasion a memorable one, full of the best comfort food on earth, many hugs and kisses and a warm smile that could light up any room. She valued family above all else, was a hard working woman and a most devoted wife and mother. Carol Sue set an example to many and was a second mother to all who knew her.

Willie Dean Wilson
Willie Dean Wilson, 49, of DeWitt died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Willie was born July 14, 1959, in Altheimer, Ark., to James Lee Wilson and Janie Marie Skaggs Wilson. He was a welder and truck driver, and attended Pentecostal Church of God in Humphrey.
His father and one sister, Janie Marie Wilson, preceded him in death.
Survivors are his wife, Kelly Nutter Wilson and their son, Dylan Willie Wilson; son, James Willie Wilson of Texas; daughter, Juanita Louise Wilson of Texas; mother, Janie Marie Wilson of Humphrey; brothers, James Albert Wilson of Stuttgart and George Lee Wilson of Clinton; sister, Rose Munnerlyn of Humphrey; half-sister, Earlene Greenway of Hardy; one granddaughter; three nephews; and two nieces.
Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Dale Carter, are 1 p.m. Monday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with burial following in Flynn Cemetery.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Turpin Funeral Home.

Violet Earl “Tobe” Rockwell Jones
Violet Earl “Tobe” Rockwell Jones, 87, of Wabbaseka died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, at Stuttgart Regional Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 10, 1920, in Oppello, Ark., to Jess and Jessie Rockwell. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Jones; brothers, Nathaniel, Farrell and Bill Rockwell; and sisters, Dink Looney, Sis Harrison and Dorothy Rose.
Survivors are four sons, Robert Earl Jones (Linda) of Humphrey, Willie Charles Jones (Karen) of Stuttgart, Teddy Clark Jones (Sherry) of Hickory Plains and Nathaniel Earl Jones (Dala) of Biloxi, Miss.; two daughters, Rita Mae Jones of Biloxi and Hazel Kathleen “Kathy” Martin (Howard) of Wabbaseka; brother, Garland Ray-Bocus Rockwell (Joy) of Humnoke; four sisters, Rosie Carter and Betty Underwood (Lewis) of Humnoke, Louise “Puddin” Oneal of Cabot and Elaine Kimsey (Don) of Stuttgart; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Ralph Ruffin, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with burial in Flynn Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Monday at Turpin Funeral Home.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Barry Neal Beasley
Barry Neal Beasley, 50, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at his home in Humphrey.
Barry was born May 5, 1958, in Stuttgart to Jimmie Ray Beasley and Mary Lee Owen Minor. A Stuttgart High School graduate, Barry was employed as an enforcement officer with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission for five years and later worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a devoted father. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, J.R. Beasley; and his grandparents, Arthur and Lola Beasley.
Survivors are his wife, Michelle Rieves Beasley, and their son, Jake Paul Beasley; his mother, Mary Lee Minor of Monticello; his step-mother, Tana Beasley of Stuttgart; two brothers, Jim Beasley and wife Denise of Monticello, and Fred Beasley of Humphrey; and one sister, Ginger Cotton and husband T.J. of Monticello.
A memorial service, officiated by Bro. Joseph Spangler, is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with burial in Frazier Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
