Sherry Coose Watson
Sherry Lynne Watson, 46, of Stuttgart died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at Stuttgart Regional Medical Center.
Sherry was born Aug. 15, 1962, in Stuttgart and had been a lifelong resident of this area. She was a sales clerk at Wal-Mart and a member of Grand Prairie Evangelical Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents, J.C. and Neva Coose and Herman and Lois Heien.
Sherry is survived by her parents, Charles and Betty Coose of Stuttgart; husband, Larry Watson of Stuttgart; three sons, Michael Vaughn of Jacksonville, Brandon Watson of the home and Shawn Watson of Stuttgart; and two sisters, Becky McNeese (Robert) of Jacksonville and Judy Shook (Glen) of Sherwood.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday at Turpin Funeral Home. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Grand Prairie Evangelical Methodist Church.
Memorials may be made to Grand Prairie Evangelical Methodist Church or the donor’s choice.

Lei Ann Holbert
Lei Ann Raabe Holbert, 46, of Almyra died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at Stuttgart Regional Medical Center following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Lei Ann was born May 30, 1962, in Stuttgart. She was a 1980 graduate of DeWitt High School and attended the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. She was owner of The Little Chef in Stuttgart.
Her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Raabe and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Turner, preceded her in death.
Survivors are a special friend, Kenneth George of Almyra; her son, Gregory Holbert of Dardanelle; her parents, Carl and Martha Ann Raabe of Almyra; one brother, John Raabe of Almyra; and one sister, Jennifer Smith and husband Eric of DeWitt.
Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Ty Huitt, are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Almyra First Baptist Church with burial following in Almyra Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home.
The family requests memorials be made to the Museum of the Arkansas Grand Prairie, 821 E. Fourth St., Stuttgart; Dana’s House, Box 138, DeWitt; or donor’s choice.

George Hildebrand Jr.
George Hildebrand Jr., 78, of Stuttgart died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock.
Mr. Hildebrand was born July 8, 1930, in Stuttgart to George Hildebrand Sr. and Mollie Lane Hildebrand. He was a retired Stuttgart Police Chief having served on the force for 20 years. A Korean War veteran, he served 10 years in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Arkansas Retired Police Association and Arkansas Municipal Police Association.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Hildebrand.
Survivors are his wife, Pauline Eifling Hildebrand; one son, Terry Hildebrand and wife Courtney of Stuttgart; one daughter, Cheryl Peoples and husband Johnny of Carlisle; five grandchildren, Ivy and John Emmett Hildebrand of Stuttgart and Jonathan Peoples and wife Ashley and Matthew and Ashli Peoples, all of Conway.
Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Glenn Larson, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Turpin Funeral Home with burial following in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Turpin Funeral Home.

Kevin Lee Harvill
Kevin Lee Harvill, 52, of Humphrey died Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at his home from complications of his being a lifetime cerebral palsy patient.
Kevin was born March 20, 1956, in Stuttgart to Horace Harvill Jr. and Norma Simpson Harvill. He was a member of Humphrey Baptist Church.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Simpson and Mr. and Mrs. Horace Harvill Sr.
Survivors are his mother, Norma Simpson Harvill of Humphrey; a brother, John Harvill and wife Susan of Humphrey; nephews, John Harvill Jr., Drew Harvill and Dustin Bayless; niece, Tonya Barnes; two great-nephews and one great-niece; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Luke Criswell, are 2 p.m. Monday at Humphrey Baptist Church with burial in Flynn Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Turpin Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Humphrey Baptist Church building fund, Arkansas Hospice or donor’s choice.

Lois Kathryn Erstine
Lois Kathryn Erstine, 88, of Stuttgart, widow of Francis E. Erstine, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at Crestpark of Stuttgart.
Mrs. Erstine was born April 18, 1920, in Sac City, Iowa, to William and Katherine Weitzel Lange. She and her husband were owners of Erstine Grocery and she retired as an administrative assistant from First United Bank. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Holy Rosary Altar Society.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Luther Lange.
Survivors are two sons, Bob Erstine and wife Judy of Rison and Bill Erstine and wife Barbara of Stuttgart; one brother, Kenneth Lange of Gardena, Calif.; one sister, Shirley Blair of Hot Springs Village; four grandchildren, Byron Erstine, Emily Erstine, Sarah Horton and husband David and Amy Erstine; one great-granddaughter, Lily Horton.
Funeral services, officiated by Monsignor John Janesko, are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
Visitation will be from 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday with Rosary service beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Turpin Funeral Home.
Memorials may be sent to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1815 S. Prairie, Stuttgart, Ark. 72160, or the Alzheimer’s Association, 10411 W. Markham, Suite 130, Little Rock, Ark. 72205-1409.

Malinda Estes Kuley
Malinda Estes Kuley, 72, of Stuttgart died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at Stuttgart Regional Medical Center.
She was a graduate of Stuttgart High School and member of First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph Kuley of Cincinnati, Ohio; her father, Lloyd Estes; her brother, Charles Estes; and her eldest son, Henry Harold “Hank” Bennett.
She leaves behind her mother, Beryl Pullig of Stuttgart; sisters, Barbara McDaniel of Lake Providence, La., and Norma Muller of Ocala, Fla.; brother, Herman Traetow of Elmira, Ore.; sons, Thomas I. Bennett of Columbus, Ohio, and Lloyd G. Bennett of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; daughter, Kathy Sansbury of Ft. Lauderdale; step-daughter, Susan Kersell of Columbus; step-sons, Joseph and David Kuley and family of North Carolina; step-daughters, Lori Kuley Bates and family of Oak Island, N.C., and Lisa Kuley of Wesling and family of South Carolina.
Many thanks to Virginia and Paul who are so diligent in taking care of “Ms. Beryl” and doing what ever they could to help Malinda as well. Thank you to the ladies that have been caring for Malinda at home these past months to keep her comfortable in her remaining days. Thank you to Dr. Coker and the staff at Stuttgart Regional Medical Center for their patience and loving care.
A memorial service, officiated by Bro. Larry Kelso, will be at ­­­­­3 p.m. Saturday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with visitation beginning at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Lillie Wright
Lillie Inez Mayfield Wright, 69, went to be with her heavenly father, whom she loved very much on Dec. 12, 2008.
Lillie was born Nov. 25, 1939, to Clarence and Irene Mayfield at Weiner, Ark. After graduation from Weiner High School in 1957, she married Charles Wright of the Long Creek Community in 1958 and it was her good pleasure to be a stay-at-home wife and mother for many years. They lived in Weiner until 1971 when they moved to Stuttgart.
She accepted Christ as a child and was baptized at First Baptist Church in Weiner in 1961. She served the Lord all of her adult life, even through her long illness in later years. During this time she was a member of Long Creek General Baptist Church, then Central Christian Church in Stuttgart where she taught many children’s Sunday School classes and Vacation Bible School classes, and since 2001, a member of First Baptist Church in Stuttgart where she was lovingly embraced by the sweet members of the Esther Sunday School Class. Lillie always loved little children and nothing made her happier than seeing children learning to love Jesus.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Charles Wright Sr. of the home; children, Darlene Bailey and husband Mike and grandchildren Michael and Emily Bailey, all of Maumelle; Charles Wright Jr. and grandson Chris of Casscoe; Susan Dempsey and husband James and grandson Nicholas West of Ward; sister, Katherine Winters of Weiner; brother, Ernest Mayfield of Chelsea, Okla.; and many nieces and nephews and her precious in-laws from the Wright family.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Clarence and Irene Mayfield of Weiner; brother, Francis Mayfield of Houston, Mo.; and grandparents, Ezra and Nancy Henshaw of Harrisburg and Jim and Bertha Mayfield of Weiner.
During her child-rearing years, she enjoyed babysitting several local children in her home. Called Miss Lillie by these children and other neighborhood children, she loved these children very much. Always special to her heart are children she kept for many years, Phaedra Ruff, daughter of David and Pat Ruff, and Clark Luebke, son of Bill Luebke and Nancy Dempsy. Later, she was employed and retired from Belks Department Store she was worked as a sales associate.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Monday Dec. 15, at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Sam Roberts and Marion Stringer, a pastor and long-time family friend, officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Elmer and Estelle Seidenschwarz, Dwayne Hornbeck, Audrey Campbell, Chris Breshers, Curtis Murphey and Nadine Simmons. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Weiner. Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Turpin Funeral Home in Stuttgart.
Memorial donations may be given to the Praise Kids Ministry at First Baptist Church in Stuttgart in honor of Lillie’s love for children’s ministries or the Arkansas Hospice.
The family wishes to express sincere thanksgiving for the care provided to Lillie by Springbrook Nursing Home of Hazen and the staff of Arkansas Hospice.
