Sandra Crouch VanDalsen
Sandra Diane Crouch VanDalsen, 50, of Stuttgart died Sunday, March 1, 2009, at her home.
Sandra was born Sept. 10, 1958, in Stuttgart to James and Polly Murry Crouch. She was a 1976 graduate of Stuttgart High School and owner of Sandra’s Freelance Photography. She attended Trinity Assembly of God Church in Stuttgart.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Crouch.
Survivors are her husband, Daren VanDalsen; her mother, Polly Crouch of Stuttgart; one brother, Jimmy Crouch and wife Ann of Ulm; and three nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Donnie Gordon, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary, % Clara Brown, 2004 Beumer, Stuttgart or SRMC Auxiliary at Baptist Health Medical Center-Stuttgart, % Amanda Holsted, P.O. Box 1905, Stuttgart.

Robert Paul Young
HUMPHREY, Ark. - Robert Paul Young, 49, died Friday, March 6, 2009, at his home.
He was born May 23, 1959, in Corpus Christie, Texas, to Alline and Denzil Young. Mr. Young was a farmer, equipment mechanic and a Baptist.
He is survived by one cousin, Mickey Stroud of Humphrey.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Clyde J. McCullars
HUMPHREY, Ark. - Clyde J. McCullars, 85, died Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Baptist Health Medical Center-Stuttgart.
Mr. McCullars was born March 28, 1923, in Henton, Ark., to Dora and Luther McCullars and had been a lifelong resident of the Humphrey area. Mr. McCullars was a farmer for his entire life and was a member of Humphrey Church of Christ. He was very proud to have been an Army Corporal in the 28th Infantry Division in Germany during World War II where he had been wounded.
Survivors are his wife of 60 blessed years of marriage, Marion Ellen McCullars; one foster daughter, Christy Levey of Stuttgart; one sister, Ocie Browning of Pine Bluff; two grandchildren, Cheryl Lynn Masoner of Stuttgart and Travis Lee Masoner of Fayetteville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10 am Monday, March 9, at Turpin Funeral Home Chapel with Bruce Dabbs officiating. Burial will follow in Flynn Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
Memorials may be made to the Humphrey Church of Christ.

E.D. "Pete" Bowen
HUMPHREY, Ark. – Elder E.D. “Pete” Bowen, 83, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at his home.
He was born Oct. 13, 1925, in Humphrey to James and Maudie Reeves Bowen. While serving his country in the Army during World War II, he received several commendations including two Bronze Service Stars. He was a farmer and minister, and member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Jo Bowen on Jan. 13, 2007; three brothers; one sister; and a son-in-law.
Survivors are his son, Marvin Dale Bowen of Atlantic, Iowa; two daughters, Janet Hendrix of Maumelle and Pamela Fortune of Humphrey; two brothers, Richard Bowen of Cypress, Calif., and Jimmy Bowen of McGhee; two sisters, Lucille Young of Humphrey and Maxine Bayless of Stuttgart; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Sam Morgan, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with burial following in Frazier Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Turpin Funeral Home.

Ellen Pauline Grandgeorge Folsom
Ellen Pauline Grandgeorge Folsom, 82, of Stuttgart, widow of Jerry David Folsom, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Crestpark of Stuttgart.
Mrs. Folsom was born March 9, 1927 in Almyra to Arthur and Elsie Brown Grandgeorge. She was employed for 40 years as a telephone operator for GTE and was an active member of First United Methodist Church before her health declined.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Louis Richard Grandgeroge; and her sister, Emma Madeline Derden.
Survivors are two nieces, Wynn Dea Grandgeorge and Dona Bell of Heber Springs; three nephews, Garland Derden and Freddy Derden of Stuttgart and Terry Derden of Boise, Idaho; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Larry Kelso, are 10 a.m. Friday at Turpin Funeral Home with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Turpin Funeral Home.
The family requests memorials to First United Methodist Church, 307 E. Fourth, Stuttgart.

Harold Edmond Tye
Harold Edmond Tye, 78, of Stuttgart died peacefully Friday, March 13, 2009, at Baptist Health Medical Center-Stuttgart.
Mr. Tye was born Sept. 16, 1930, in Toler, Ky., to Arthur and Virginia Tye.
He was an Air Force veteran and member of Southside Baptist Church.
He was a talented cartoonist, sign painter and owner of Harold Tye Signs Inc.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David C. Reaves; a sister, Mildred Andrews; three brothers, Zeke Tye, Tom Tye and Speedy Tye; and two great-grandchildren.
Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Alice Calvert Tye; one son, Clifford G. Reeves and wife Tina Marie of Pine Bluff; one brother, Charles Tye of Chesapeake, Va.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. Tye was a loving and devoted husband, daddy and papaw.
He was a talented musician who loved playing and singing country and gospel music, but his favorite place to be was in his shop playing the guitar and singing with his grandkids.
Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Gregg Greenway, are 2 p.m. Monday at Southside Baptist Church with burial following in Hamilton Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Turpin Funeral Home.
The family requests memorials be made to Southside Baptist Church.

Luease F. Brewer
Luease F. Brewer, 84, of Stuttgart, widow of Edward Bennett Brewer, died Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Forrest Manor Home.
Mrs. Brewer was born March 28, 1924, in Ridgely, Tenn., to Paul Grice and Mamie Patrick Grice.
She was a homemaker and was of the Assembly of God faith.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Survivors are one son, James E. Brewer of Myrtle, Miss.; one daughter, Linda McCarty of DeWitt; two brothers, Coy Grice of London, Ark., and Johnny Grice of Oregon; one sister, Fran Welsh of Forrest Grove, Oregon; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Turpin Funeral Home with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery.
