Gibbens
RAVENDEN -- Imogene Gibbens, 80, of Ravenden died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002 at the Randolph County Medical Center in Pocahontas. She was born in Ravenden.
Survivors include a son, Larry Gibbens of Ravenden; a granddaughter, Kellie Newton of Jonesboro; six stepgrandchildren, Teresa Nunally and Tommy Bagwell, both of Ravenden, Tim Bagwell of Ash Flat, Terry Bagwell of Ozark Acres, Garry Bagwell of Williford and Rick Bagwell of Marion; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Gibbens; her parents, Childers and Ollie Anderson Holder; a daughter, Joyce Ann Gibbens; and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today in the chapel of Higginbotham Funeral Service, with the Rev. John Stoll officiating. Burial will follow in Opposition Cemetery at Ravenden.

Gill
HOT SPRINGS -- Thomas Earl Gill, 68, of Hot Springs, formerly of Newport, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002 in Little Rock.
Born in Dell, he was a self-employed concrete contractor.
Survivors include a son, Randy Lynn Gill of Hot Springs, and five grandchildren, Jennifer Gill, Jonathan Gill, Joshua Gill, Jacob Gill and James Gill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Louise Tackett Gill; his parents, Berryman and Josie Bratcher Gill; and two brothers.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Walnut Grove Cemetery, with Teddy Rhea officiating. Jackson's Newport Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Greenfield
MAGNESS -- Mae Greenfield, 94, of Magness died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002 in Batesville.
Born in Batesville, she was a homemaker and a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Sulphur Rock.
Survivors include a daughter, Norma Jean Marlatt of Pasadena, Calif.; three grandchildren, Michael Marlatt of Riverside, Calif., Joan Kingston of Chino Hills, Calif., and Yulonda Wallace of Little Rock; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Greenfield; her parents, Glen and Cora Matthews; a son, Billy Greenfield; and a brother.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Jackson's Newark Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Blue Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Hanna
Lorine Hanna, 84, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002 at the Craighead Nursing Center.
Born in Mayflower, she had lived in the Harrisburg and Jonesboro areas for most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Hanna of Trumann and Stephen Paul Hanna and Charles Ray Hutcherson, both of Jonesboro; two daughters, Linda Kerr of Jonesboro and Derl Kay Beckum of Trumann; a stepdaughter, Shirley Wilson of Brookland; a sister, Irene Bratcher of Jonesboro; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, S.P. Hanna; a son, Don Edward Wilson; and a brother.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Pine Hill Cemetery, with Johnny Hutchison officiating. Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be from 5:30-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Hawkins
PARAGOULD -- Lorene E. Hawkins, 77, of Paragould died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002 at Methodist Hospital Central in Memphis.
Born at Leachville, she was retired from Emerson Electric Co., where she worked as an assembler. She was a member of Antioch Church of Christ in Cardwell, Mo.
Survivors include one son, Dennis Rogers of Yazoo City, Miss.; one daughter, JoAnn Wright of Paragould; one stepson, Marty Hawkins of Magnolia; one sister, Mary Cowan of Bristol, Va.; six grandchildren, Shellei Rowe and Whitney Nelson, both of Paragould, T.D. Havens, Morgan Rogers and Skylar Rogers, all of Yazoo City, and Caleb Hawkins of Magnolia; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Hawkins, and her parents, Rufus Clinton and Eva Breckenridge Eubanks.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Heath Funeral Home Colonial Chapel in Paragould, with the Rev. David Flanrey officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens at Paragould.
Pallbearers will be Shad Rowe, Charles Nelson, Caleb Hawkins, T.D. Havens, Vic Hosman and Norman Jameson.
Honorary pallbearers will include Charles Reeves, Loren Breckenridge, Larry Breckenridge, Excel Breckenridge, Ron Richard, Dick Burke, Ray Stanizewski and Jimmy Darrell Robinson.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Children's Home of Paragould or Antioch Church of Christ.

Herget
PARAGOULD -- Richard Phillip Herget, 88, of Paragould, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.
He was a Paragould native, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Paragould, an attorney and was retired from the U.S. Army as a full colonel.
A graduate of Paragould High School, he attended the New Mexico military Institute in Roswell and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1934 with a BS in mechanical engineering. He was commander of the student ROTC at the University of Arkansas and president of Sigma Chi fraternity.
Herget obtained his law degree in 1937 from Georgetown University Law School and worked in President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal and later in the White House office of education, forerunner to the federal Department of Education.
He was an Army veteran who served in World War II and was awarded the bronze star with oak leaf clusters and the Legion of Merit. He also served in the Korean War.
He worked for the Paragould Kirsh and Cathey and served as legal counsel of the Ford Corp.'s Aeroneutronics Division at Newport Beach, Calif., until retiring in 1978 and returning to Paragould. He also served as chairman of the Paragould Parks and Recreation Commission.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Esther Herget of Paragould; three sons, Barlow Herget of Raleigh, N.C., Dick Herget of Heber Springs and Harry Herget of Jonesboro; two daughters, Rebecca Ann Bennett of Little Rock and Nancy Wood of Fort Smith; one brother, Alfred Herget of Paragould; two sisters, Mary Cothren of Stillwater, Minn., and Ann Kelly of Gallatin, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred George and Mabel Jackson Herget.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the First United Methodist Church of Paragould, with David Moseley and Jeff Rainwater officiating. Burial will be in the Linwood Cemetery in Paragould under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Paragould.
Pallbearers will be Adam Irving, Dave McOlgan, Eric Herget, Phil Herget, Nate Herget, Ted Herget, Claiborne Herget, Brent Bennett and Don Wood.
Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Foundation, P.O. Box 339, Paragould 72451.

Holeman
SMITHVILLE -- Funeral services for Linda Faye Holeman, 57, of Smithville, who died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002 at St. Bernard's Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Smithville Baptist Church. Burial will be in Smithville Community Cemetery, under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service of Walnut Ridge.
Born in Hollandale, Miss., she was a longtime member of Smithville Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jim "Buddy" Luker of St. Robert, Mo., and Henry E. Holeman of Smithville; one daughter, Lisa Tribble of Little Rock; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, George David Shepard; her husband, Edward Holeman; parents, George and Francis Alma Buffington Atkins; and one brother.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Lindsey
BLYTHEVILLE -- Barbara Sue Lindsey, 48, of Blytheville, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002 at Methodist Healthcare in Germantown, Tenn. Born in Tennessee, she was a housewife and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Danny Lindsey of Blytheville; two sons, Robert Miller and Travis Horton, both of Blytheville; one daughter, Penny Wineland of Gosnell; two sisters, Lois Knight and Linda York, both of Blytheville; three brothers, J.C. Knight of Plant City, Fla., Maurice Knight of Covington, Tenn., and Alford Knight of Blytheville; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville, with Mitchell King Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville.
Friends and family members will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Little
HICKORY RIDGE -- Lyda Mae Mabry Little, 73, of Hickory Ridge died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002 at her residence.
Born in Beedeville, she was a lifelong resident of the Tilton community near Hickory Ridge and attended Beedeville High School. She was a homemaker, a member of the former American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Hickory Ridge Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Myra Freese and Debbie Stokes, both of Hickory Ridge; three sisters, Bertha McChristian and Virginia Hammond, both of Beedeville, and Myrtle Pegg of McCrory; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert E. Little; and her parents, Lawrence Andrew Mabry and Sarah Virginia Holbrook Mabry.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Hickory Ridge Church of Christ, with Tim Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Woodman Cemetery at McCrory under the direction of Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of Wynne.
Active pallbearers will be Bennie Joe Breckenridge, Sherman Cullum, Brandon Hess, Michael Hirons, Lawrence Sanders and Brandon Stephens.
Memorials may be made to the Hickory Ridge Church of Christ, P.O. Box 232, Hickory Ridge 72347.

Loggains
HARRISBURG -- Charles Edward Loggains, 60, of Harrisburg died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002 near El Paso, Texas.
Born in Weiner, he was a Navy veteran, had worked as a truck driver and was a member of a Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Bradley Loggains of Jonesboro, and a sister, Norma Sue McIllwain of Fisher.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery at Jonesboro.
Active pallbearers will be Tim McIllwain, Brandon Barker, Shawn Barker, Keith McIllwain, Steve Barker, Warren Bright, Raymond McIllwain and Chris McIllwain.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
