Raymond Glenn "Mickey" Burlison
Raymond Glenn “Mickey” Burlison, 53, of Humphrey went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
Mickey was born Nov. 23, 1955, in Little Rock to Raymond and Darlene Wolfe Burlison.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ashley Burlison; a son, Kyle Burlison; and a granddaughter, Courtney Burlison.
Survivors are his wife, Debbie Kirkley Burlison; parents, Raymond and Darlene Burlison of Stuttgart; son, Eric (Amy) Whitcomb of Benton; daughters, Kim (Chad) Burlison Cook of Fayetteville, Amy Burlison of Stuttgart and Tina (Shane) Stoops of East End; brothers, Wayne (Connie) Burlison of Humphrey and Kenny (Constance) of Omaha, Neb.; sisters, Patricia (Phil) Kinder of Stuttgart and Karen (Jack) Bitner of Ethel; 11 grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Billy Booth, are 2 p.m. Saturday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with burial following in Flynn Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at Turpin Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to ASPC or the animal rescue of your choice.

Janiece Freeman
Janiece Freeman, 83, of Stuttgart, widow of Ray Freeman, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at Baptist Health Medical Center-Stuttgart.
Mrs. Freeman was born Aug. 14, 1925, at Lake Mead, Ill. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors are two sons, Donnie Freeman and wife Mary of Dallas, Texas, and Terry Freeman of Memphis, Tenn.; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services, officiated by Dr. Sam Roberts, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel. Private burial will be in Bayou Meto Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Monday at Turpin Funeral Home.

Tommy Warner
Thomas James Warner Jr., 54, of Humphrey died Thursday, August 13, 2009, at his home following a battle with lung cancer.
Tommy was born March 1, 1955, in Stuttgart to Thomas and Mary McCarty Warner who preceded him in death. He was a longtime employee of Turpin Funeral Home and member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors are one son, Jeremy McIntosh of Humphrey; two daughters, Shea Yarbrough and Jamie Beard and husband Sam, all of Humphrey; three brothers, Johnny Warner and wife Mary of Humphrey, Jerry Warner of Dallas, Texas, and Michael Warner of Stuttgart; and three sisters, Elizabeth Strain and husband Gary of Hickory Creek, Texas, Cathy Wilhite and husband Donny of Arlington, Texas, and Wanda Warner of Stuttgart; four grandchildren; eight nieces; one nephew; and many friends.
Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Kevin Nobles, are 10 a.m. Monday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with burial following in Williams Cemetery.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Turpin Funeral Home.

Smith, Kati K.
Kati K. Smith, 60, of Almyra died Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.
Kati was born Feb. 19, 1949, in Stuttgart to Wayman William Kerksieck and Dorothy Brillhart Kerksieck. She was a graduate of Stuttgart High School but also gained many friends in the DeWitt area. She attended ASU, and then later LSU. She managed the family farm in Ulm for over 30 years, in addition to being a real estate appraiser in Arkansas County and surrounding areas.
Her father and sister, Lynn Kerksieck, preceded her in death.
Survivors are son, Kirk Smith of Conway; daughter, Bitsy Spencer-LaFayette and husband Dan LaFayette of Charlotte, NC; mother, Dorothy Brillhart Kerksieck of Heber Springs; and sister, Marty Kellar of Mountain View.
Visitation is 6-8 P.M. Monday at Turpin Funeral Home in Stuttgart.
Funeral services are 2 P.M. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Ulm with burial in Lone Tree Cemetery in Stuttgart. The family is invited to gather on Tuesday at 11:30 A.M. at Mrs. J.J. Kerksieck’s home in Ulm.
Kati was well known for feeding and helping people, “adopting” many as her own. With her spirit in mind, memorials may be made to Angel Food Ministries, Heifer International, or your local food bank.

Natalie Fay Mahfouz Wood
Natalie Fay Mahfouz Wood, 26, of Stuttgart died Sunday, August 16, 2009, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Natalie was born January 11, 1983, to Don and Dorothy Wolfe Mahfouz. She was a graduate of UAMS, Fayetteville, and was a certified radiographic technician. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Espy and Nettie Mahfouz and Jesse and Dovie Wolfe; and a baby brother, Jon Mahfouz.
Survivors are her parents, Don and Dorothy Mahfouz of Stuttgart; two brothers, Tony Mahfouz (Denia) of Citronelle, Alabama, and Jamie Mahfouz of Fort Smith; four sisters, Marnie Hartley (Todd), Mandy Rollins (Eric), Nicole Lammers (Charlie) and Donna Herrington (Larry), all of Stuttgart; a very special aunt, Idell Mahfouz; and a special niece, Isabella Hartley.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Animal Rescue League or donor’s choice.

Roberta Ferrari Allen
CARLISLE, Ark. - Roberta Ferrari Allen, 54, died Aug. 26, 2009, of complications of ALS.
She was born July 31, 1955, in Stuttgart, Ark., to Audrey and Dr. Victor Ferrari. She graduated from Redlands High School in Redlands, Calif., in 1973. She attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and Crafton Hills College in Yucaipa, Calif. She obtained her Radiological Technology Certificate from San Bernardino County Hospital, San Bernardino, Calif. She had been an ultra sonographer for 30 years.
Robbie is survived by her daughter, Lindsey Allen of Seattle, Wash.; her parents, Audrey and Dr. Victor Ferrari of Carlisle; brothers, Victor of Carlisle and John of Greers Ferry; nieces, Audrey and River Ferrari of Conway; grandmother, Clara Simpson of Carlisle; and her X-ray family of Baptist Health, Stuttgart.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at St. Rose Catholic Church in Carlisle. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday in St. Rose Catholic Church parish hall followed by the rosary service at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Baptist Hospice, 11900 Colonel Glenn Road, Suite 2000, Little Rock, Ark., 72210; St. Rose Catholic Church, P.O. Box M, Carlisle, Ark., 72024; or Open Arms Shelter, P.O. Box, 161, Lonoke, Ark., 72086.

Tammy Edmondson
Tamara Kay Edmondson, 41, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, in Little Rock.
Tammy was born Sept. 10, 1967, in Stuttgart. She was a graduate of Stuttgart High School and had been employed for over 20 years at Riceland Foods. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Shireman; a sister, Marlene Shireman; grandparents, Eugene and Jacie Shireman and Edna and Olus Goolsby; and her father-in-law, Bill Edmondson.
Survivors are her husband, Don Edmondson; two sons, Jacob Edmondson and Stephen Edmondson; her parents, Charles and Betty Shireman of Stuttgart; her sister, Charlene Reeves and husband Andy of Humphrey and their families, Brian and Stacy Reeves of Stuttgart and Kelly and Bryan Houghton and daughters Hailey and Jacie of Humphrey; mother-in-law, Billie Edmondson of Tichnor; and brother-in-law, Tim and Mandy Edmondson and daughter Gracie of St. Charles.
Funeral services, officiated by Dr. Sam Roberts and Bro. Sam Morgan, are 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with burial following in DeWitt Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Turpin Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Flipside 517 at First Baptist Church.
