Donna Jean Cress
Donna Jean Cress, 74, of Beebe died May 28 at White County Medical Center in Searcy after a recent illness.
She was born Feb. 25, 1935, in Lodge Corner, one of five children of Willis Hildebrand Sr. and Beatrice Bagwell Hildebrand.
She attended school in Lodge Corner and was a graduate of Stuttgart High School.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was a homemaker.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her only brother, Willis Hildebrand Jr.
Survivors are her husband of 56 years, Ronald Cress; two sons, Mark Cress of Little Rock and Dr. Randy Cress and his wife, Rita, of Stuttgart; three sisters, Maxine Longnecker, Freda Faupel and Annabelle Barks of Stuttgart; six grandchildren, Kelly Cress of Lake Charles, LA, Kerri Cress of Alexander, Brian Cress and his wife, Beth, of Sherwood, Alyson Cress of West Memphis, Abby Cress of Stuttgart and Amanda Cress of Jonesboro; five great-grandchildren; and many other family members.
A memorial service will be held at later date.
Her family requests memorials be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Darryl Lee Agee
Darryl Lee Agee, 84, of St. Charles, died June 17.
He was born to Beryl and Ernest Agee in Basin, WY, on Nov. 22, 1924.
He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II and was retired after 30 years from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
He was with the Boy Scouts as a Scout and later as a leader from 1937-1974.
He was Basin’s first Eagle Scout.
He served with the Gideons since 1975 and was a Mason and a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three wives, Pat Agee, Dorothy McCann Agee and Doris Bostic Agee; a brother, Jack Agee and a daughter, Barbara Agee Esco.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Agee; children, Phyllis Agee King and her husband, Richard, Phil Esco, Stephen P. Woodward, Lamar Bostic, Richard Agee and his wife, Rosie, Diane Cameron and her husband, Frank, Marsha Pike and her husband, Donald, Earl Sweeney and Frankie Vinson and his wife, Donna; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 21 at St. Charles United Methodist Church with burial in St. Charles Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home of DeWitt.
Memorials may be made to the Gideons International, The St. Charles United Methodist Church or Faith United Methodist Church in Hot Springs.

Darel Wayne Edwards
Darel Wayne Edwards, 54, of DeWitt, died June 17 at his home.
He was born Jan. 30, 1955, in DeWitt to Cleo and Marie Edwards.
He worked many years at Arkansas Service as the assistant manager before retirement and was a member of the Church of the First Born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kenneth Edwards; and two sisters, Shirley Poore and Linda Outlaw.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Kathy Ashbrook Edwards; two daughters, Melinda Whaley and her husband, Jason, of Lincoln, and Jaclyn Edwards of Fayetteville; and three sisters, Deloras Jones of Gillett, Yvonne Poor of Almyra and Cathy Gibson of DeWitt.
Funeral services were held June 20 at The Church of the First Born with burial in Thompson Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home of DeWitt.

Alice Jane Clark Burrell
Alice Jane Clark Burrell, 66, of Ethel, died June 19.
She was born Jan. 8, 1943, to John A. and Clara Clark in DeWitt.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Annie Davis.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, David Burrell; a son, Walter Burrell of Germantown, TN; a daughter, Terri Malone and her husband, Tony and granddaughter Stevie Malone of Poplar Grove; and a brother, Bobby M. Clark of Lonoke.
Funeral services were held June 22 at St. Charles Baptist Church with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Ethel by Essex Funeral Home of DeWitt.

Betty Chaneyworth Isom
Betty Lynn Bryant Chaneyworth Isom, 50, of DeWitt died June 19 in Lee County as the results of an automobile accident.
She was born March 20, 1959, in Altheimer to Will Bryant and Opal Lane Bryant of Swan Lake.
Survivors include her husband, John Ed Isom of DeWitt; two sons, Jerry Chaneyworth and Shawn Isom and his wife, Crystal, of DeWitt; five daughters, Jennifer Allen and her husband, Chad, Kimberly Chaneyworth, Jennifer Black and Magan Young and her husband, Wayland, of DeWitt, and Jessica Chappotin and her husband, Don, of Louisiana; five brothers, Eddie Bryant, Gene Chandler and his wife, Judy, Roy Reed, and his wife, Regina, Robert Bryant, and Rodney Bryant and his wife, Jamie; six sisters, Wanda Lachney and her husband, Rickey, Darlene Wilson and her husband, Johnny, Kimberly Moon and her husband, Charles, Anita Christian and her husband, Billy, Elizabeth Midkiff and her husband, Ralph, and Chigger Dorn and her husband, Donnie; 12 grandchildren, Stormy, Casey, Quentin, Hunter, Wendell, Carlie, Remington, Destiney, River, Colby, Taylor and Brittney and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held June 21 at Faith Baptist Church in DeWitt with Brother Donald Lee Ruffin officiating.
The body was cremated by McKinzie/Wilson Funeral Home of Gould and DeWitt.

April Stewart
April Stewart, 43, of DeWitt, died June 15. She was a 1983 graduate of Wheatley High School, a member of the Wheatley United Methodist Church, Arkansas Post Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the “Rainbows” and the Eastern Star.
She began talking and putting sentences together at an early age and was the family social butterfly.
She enjoyed visiting the nursing home with her grandmother when she was a little girl.
As a teenager, she loved driving her three-wheeler around town and riding in the family’s old blue jeep.
She joined the Arkansas Post Chapter of the DAR in2003.
She is survived by her parents, Greg and Cindy Stewart of DeWitt; one brother, Chip Stewart of DeWitt; and one sister, Tammy Downey, her husband, Rob, and their son, Luke, of Germantown, TN
A celebration of her life was held June 18 at Wheatley United Methodist Church. Burial followed at Johnson Cemetery with Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be given to DeWitt Hospital, 1641 S. Whitehead Dr., DeWitt, AR 72042; Wheatley United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 327, Wheatley, AR 72392; or DeWitt United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 527. DeWitt, AR 72042.

Ira Glenn Vos
Ira Glenn Vos, 89, of Almyra, died June 23.
He was born Dec. 29, 1919, in Almyra to Charley Andrew and Ina Bell Rollison Vos.
His mother died in 1920, and his aunt and uncle, Blaine and Gertie Vos Glidewell, raised him.
He graduated from Almyra High School in 1937 and went to work for St. Louis Southwestern Railway in Little Rock.
After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, he served in the United States Navy.
He returned to Arkansas County, where he worked until 1985 when he retired.
He married Mildred Orvilla Knoll Sept. 1, 1940.
She died Aug. 30, 1986.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Homer Andrew Vos and a step-sister, Florence Glidewell Refeld.
Survivors include his wife, Clotine Shook Vos; two nephews, Gary A. Vos of Katy, TX, and Jimmy Refeld of Almyra; three nieces, Janet Vos Amtower of Dallas, TX, Robin Vos Havard of VanVleck, TX, and Glenna Refeld Fread of Almyra; two stepsons; one step-daughter; six step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins in Arkansas and Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. June 26 at First Christian Church in DeWitt with burial in Almyra Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Gideons International or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
