Paula Darlene Blue, age 65, of Newalla, Oklahoma, formerly of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Friday, September 3, 2010 in Newalla.
She was born in Alameda County California to the late William Charles Barrick and Kathryn J. Rowe Barrick. She was united in marriage to David A. Blue. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Paula was a loving daughter: wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by:
Mother: Kathryn Kruse
Husband: David Blue
Son: Shawn Lewis and wife, Kim
Daughters: Kathy Lewis Stewart and Debbie Lewis Inglis Sister: Lynn Robinson
Grandchildren: Benjiman Gaither, Brady Stewart, Jacie Lewis and Bailey Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Barrick.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 12 noon at Little Hope Baptist Church in Pine Ridge with Brother Rusty Lewis officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beasley-wood Funeral Home.
A visitation for family and friends will be Monday evening, September 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 p. m. at the funeral home.

Alban Beckwith
(June 15, 1938 - September 3, 2010)
Alban Beckwith, age 72, of Mena passed away Friday, September 3, 2010 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
He was born June 15, 1938 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to the late George Beckwith and the late Lucille Jarvis Beckwith. He was married to Joyce Cobb Beckwith. His profession was a police officer with Mena Police Department. He was a member of the Elks Club and was a retired police officer. He was a loving husband, father grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him.
He is survived by:
Wife: Joyce Beckwith
Son: Montie Beckwith and wife Petra of Mena, Arkansas
Daughters: Annette Vekre and husband Jerry of Big Fork, Arkansas Lillian Poche’ of Mena, Arkansas Karen Pegg of Greenwood, Arkansas
Brothers: George Warren Beckwith of California Kevin Montgomery Beckwith of Utah
17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lucille Beckwith, son Anthony Beckwith, son-in-law, Michael Poche”, brother, Dewayne Beckwith.
A memorial service will be Wednesday September 08, 2010 at 10:00 a. m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Mena, Arkansas with President David Alford officiating under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena

Francis Allen Thomas Larucci
(March 19, 1940 - September 1, 2010)
Mr. Francis Allen Thomas “Fats” Larucci, I age 70, of Hatfield, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010 in Mena.
He was born March 19, 1940 in Maryland, New York, to the late Thomas Larucci and the late Ellen Mae Hodder Larucci. He was united in marriage to Patricia Castle, his wife of 44 years, on September 10, 1966 in Chatham, New York. He was an aircraft mechanic by profession and was also a veteran, serving his country in the United States Air Force and the United States Navy. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He is survived by:

Sons: Francis A. T. Larucci, II and wife Teresa L. of Phoenix, Arizona John R. Z. Larucci and wife Kim of Mena, Arkansas
Grandchildren: Francis A. T. Larucci, III of Phoenix, Arizona Kiersten Dawn R. Larucci of Mena, Arkansas Regan Zachary Larucci of Mena, Arkansas
Step-granddaughter: Jessica Lee Miller of Phoenix, Arizona
Brother: Richard Gabriel of Pennsylvania
Sister: Harriett Bowman of North Carolina
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ellen Larucci and 2 brothers, Robert Gabriel and Joseph Gabriel. Mr. Larucci was sent for cremation under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 5:00 p. m. at Hampton Aviation at the Mena Airport with Brother Victor Rowell officiating.

Bertha Thelma Clift
(September 12, 1921 - October 30, 2010)
Bertha Thelma Clift, age 89, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2010 in Mena surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 12, 1921in Ink, Arkansas to the late Joe Strother and the late Amanda Mae Chaney Strother. She was a loving homemaker to her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and a friend to all who knew her.
She is survived by:
Daughter: Ruby Chambers of Cove, Arkansas
Grandsons: Thomas Copelin of Mena, Arkansas Wesley Copelin and wife Sherry of Mena, Arkansas Rocky Clift of Mena, Arkansas
Granddaughter: Theresa Judkins and husband Roger of Hatfield, Arkansas
Sisters: Elfreda Wilhite of Mena, Arkansas Nadine Lunsford of Mena, Arkansas
Several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Amanda Strother, husband Otto Clift and nine Brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be Monday, November 01, 2010 at 2:00 p. m. at the Pinecrest Memorial Park in Mena with Brother Kenneth Posey officiating. Services are under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.

Kathi Mae Bonnett Buntin
(January 7, 1958 - October 28, 2010)
Kathi Mae Bonnett Buntin age 52 of Mena died Thursday, October 28, 2010 at the Mena Regional Health System. She was born on Tuesday, January 7, 1958 to Austin Herbert and Darlene Joan Brown Bonnett in Glendale, California.
Kathi loved her church, family, and her friends. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mena. She served for ten years as a seminary teacher with the youth, Director of Family History Center and also loved being a genealogist. She enjoyed searching out family history of her family and also anyone else that needed her help. She enjoyed searching in old cemeteries and posting her findings on find-a-grave. com. Raising her two sons and seeing them become fine young men and fighting cancer and beating it twice were Kathi's greatest accomplishments. Kathi enjoyed reading all different kinds of books but loved reading the Scriptures; also she loved crocheting, knitting and quilting. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband Kenny Buntin of the home; two sons Chris Buntin and his wife Sarah of Fayetteville and Kevin Buntin of Mena; her parents Austin and Darlene Bonnett of Gallatin, Missouri; two brothers Richard Bonnett of Huntingtown, Maryland and David Bonnett of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters Debbie Christenson of Denver, Colorado and Patricia Michaelis of Memphis, Tennessee; one grandson Austin Buntin of Fayetteville; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 1, 2010 at 10:00 A. M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mena with President David Alford presiding. Interment will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the Braden Cemetery in Braden, Missouri at 2:00 P. M. Visitation will be Sunday, October 31, 2010 from 6-8 P. M. at the Hall Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Chris Buntin, Kevin Buntin, Richard Bonnett, David Bonnett, Rick Davis, Darrell Buntin, Darrell Buntin and Mick Nelson.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Relay for Life in C/O Regina Lawry, 112 Sherwood Forest, Mena, Arkansas 71953.

Helen Margaret Tims Edwards
(May 7, 1916 - October 27, 2010)
Helen Margaret Tims Edwards, age 94 of Mena, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in Mena. She was born May 7, 1916 in Ennis, Texas to the late J. E. Lusk and the late Minnie C. Lehman Lusk. She was united in marriage to Robert W. Edwards.
Mrs. Edwards was a SMU graduate with Masters Degrees in English and German. She retired with 30 years in elementary education from Bradfield Elementary School in Highland Park, Dallas, Texas. She was a lifelong Presbyterian and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mena, Arkansas. She was a past member of P. E. O., Women of the Church, Lioness Club, Rich Mountain Community College Scholarship Foundation, Polk County Library volunteer, and N. E. A. State Representative for the Texas Education Agency.
Mrs. Edwards was an avid reader and seamstress. She enjoyed flowers of all types and loved to watch birds. Her family was her first love, and she was an exemplary wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, teacher, and friend. She firmly believed that education was the key for a young person’s life to be successful. And, her goal in life was to ensure that each of her children and grandchildren furthered their education, earned a college degree, and entered the world prepared to begin their careers. She loved Mena, Arkansas, and the friends that she made there. She said on many occasions that she felt closer to her husband in Arkansas. When she moved back to Arkansas, she said it was a rejuvenation of her life.
Helen Edwards is proof that there are angels who live among us.
Survivors are:
Son: Tims Edwards and his wife Catherine Edwards of Oden, Arkansas
Daughter: Carol Edwards of Woodland Park, Colorado
Grandchildren: Margaret Elizabeth Silva and her husband Marcos Silva of Richardson, Texas Pamela Edwards of Ft. Collins, Colorado William Tims Edwards, II and his wife Nicole Edwards of Oden, Arkansas
5 great grandchildren and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 10:00 a. m. in the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with State Representative Bill Abernathy and Brother Rusty Lewis officiating. Interment will be Sunday, October 31, 2010 at 3:00 p. m. at Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis, Texas under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bill Abernathy, Jim Flatte, Travis Dollar, Victor Ryan, Vernon Ryan, and Jackie Ryan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jackie Lockmiller, Keith Barnett, Rip Ausburn, and Larry Chaloupka.

Steven E. Harrison
(March 4, 1962 - October 27, 2010)
Steven E. Harrison, age 48, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in Hot Springs. He was born March 4, 1962 in Mena, Arkansas to the late Clifford Harrison and Bonnie Beene Harrison. Steven was a Christian and was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He will be missed by his family who loved him.

Nieces: Misty Huff of Mena, Arkansas Amy Harrison of Mena, Arkansas Michelle White of Mena, Arkansas Melissa Rajeswaran of Cleveland, Ohio
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Harrison, 2 brothers, Dennis Harrison and Freddie Harrison, and by a sister, Eva Smallwood.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 1, 2010 at 10:00 a. m. with Reverend Kenny Posey and Brother Charley Wiles officiating. Interment follows in Pleasant Grove Cemetery at Big Fork under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will be Sunday afternoon, October 31st from 2:00 to 4:00 p. m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Dwight Harrison, William Huff, Jimmy Huff, Jim Beene, Kevin Smallwood, and Johnny Davis. Honorary pallbearers are Adam Harrison and Ronnie Harrison.

Mary Kathryn "Kathy" Shrader
(May 25, 1945 - October 27, 2010)
Mary Kathryn “Kathy” Shrader, age 65, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Mena Regional Health System. Kathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and special friend. Kathy was employed for over 40 years at the Union Bank of Mena as assistant cashier. Kathy was born May 25, 1945 in Mena, Arkansas to the late B. W. and Louise Rogers Gorden. She was the granddaughter of the late Bill and Clara Gorden and John and Laura Rogers.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 41 years, Brent Shrader of Mena. A daughter, Christy Skelton and her husband James of Berryville, Arkansas. Granddaughters, Hayley and Bailey Skelton of Berryville, Arkansas. Sister-in-Law, Regina Walker, brother-in-Law, Kent Shrader and wife Dixie, nephews Ryan Walker, Kyle Walker and wife Marlene and children Alden and Dori Ann. Nieces, Kendra Shrader of Mena, Katrina and David Evans of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Special cousins, Mary Story, Sue Powell, Rick Evans and Terry Terrell of Mena and Vic Rogers of Talihina, Oklahoma, and several “very special” current and former friends and customers from the Union Bank, all who have been blessed to have had Kathy touch their life.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 2:00 p. m. at Christ’s Church at Mountain Fork with Brother Curtis Cox officiating. Burial follows in the Mountain Fork Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday evening, October 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 p. m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Marshall Rogers, Mitch Sikes, Wesley Wright, Gene Lance, Dale Stokes, and Monty Warren. Honorary pallbearers are Ed Stevenson, Philip Hensley, Vic Rogers, Terry Terrell, Rick Evans, Kent Shrader, Kyle Walker, Ryan Walker, Lance Wright, Richard Myhand and Jackie Wagner.
