Lois M. Critchfield, 89, of Stamps, died June 1, 2000 in the Magnolia Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Critchfield and her parents, Willis C. and Ida Belle Spainhour.
Survivors include two daughters, Christine Garner and husband Gerald of Stamps and Virginia Watson of Minden; three grandchildren, Kathy Loper and husband Roger, Gene Garner and John Bates; and three great-grandchildren, Lindsey Loper, Lane Loper and Josh Bates.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery
with the Rev. Charles Sigman officiating and Bailey Funeral Home of Magnolia in charge.
Parker Gooch
Parker Gooch, 80, of Hot Springs, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000 in a Hot Springs hospital.
Born March 17, 1920 in Waldo, he was the son of Stinson J. and Rena Parker Gooch. He was a retired factory worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Edwin Gooch and two sisters, Opal Renfro and Dorothy Reeves.
Survivors include three sons, Johnny Gooch of Hope, Andy Gooch of Louisiana and Frankie Gooch of Hope; a daughter, Barbra Hendrix of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Thurston Gooch of Waldo and Roy Gooch of Sibley, La.; two sisters, Clyde Ford of Blevins, Texas and Cathern Adair of Montegut, La.; and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps. Burial will follow in the Mount Vernon Cemetery
with Smith Funeral Home of Stamps in charge.
Mildred Harris
Mildred Larkin Harris, 86, of Kilgore, Texas died Tuesday, May 30, 2000 in Kilgore.
She was born Dec. 16, 1913 in Hulbert, Okla. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Luke's United Methodist Church and the Roy H. Laird Country Club where she was a past president of the Ladies Golf Association.
Survivors include her husband, Arch C. "Dutch" Harris of Kilgore; a daughter, Sheri King Bell of Magnolia; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Service was 2 p.m. Thursday at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jack Cox and Robert Besser officiating. Burial followed in the Kilgore Cemetery
with Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore in charge.
Harold Miller
Harold W. Miller, 65, of Shongaloo, La. died Monday, May 29, 2000 in Springhill, La. after a long illness.
He was a native of Shongaloo. After retiring with 22 years service from the U.S. Navy, he moved back to Shongaloo in 1975. He also retired from the Ethyl Corp in Magnolia with 18 years service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Columbus Walter "Lum" and Barnell Young Miller and a grandson, Richard Shannon Miller.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Mitchell Miller; a daughter, Tracey Ann Sivils and husband Ken of Springhill; sons Richard Walter Miller of Shongaloo and Harry Scott Miller and wife Mary Beth of Springhill; grandchildren, Christopher Walter Miller, Thomas Brian Sivils, Daniel Scott Miller and Heather Lynn Sivils; step-grandchildren, Brandi Diane McClure and Joshua Douglas McClure; a sister, Betty Moody of Bossier City, La.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Service was 10 a.m. Thursday at the Central Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Harvey officiating, assisted by the Rev. Kenneth R. Everett. Burial followed in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery
with full 
military grave side rites by the 12th District Department of Louisiana Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard with Bailey Mortuary, Inc of Springhill in charge.
Pallbearers were Barry Wayne Slack, Rodney Wise, Wayne Childs, Junior Wise, Ed Wood and David Bailey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the TV ministry at Central Baptist Church.

Gussie Staples Rogers, 76, of Camden, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000 in the Ouachita County Hospital in Camden. Service is pending with Marks Funeral Home, Inc.
M.F. "Mick" Long
M.F. "Mick" Long, 75, of Farmington, MO, died June 28 at Presbyterian Manor Nursing Center in Farmington. He was a retired business manager of Jefferson College, a member of Festus-Crystal City Rotary Club and a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps. He was preceded in death by his parents J.P. and Bessie Stilts Long.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Davidson Long of Farmington; special friends, Norman and Frieda Turnbough of Festus, MO, and Donald and Mary James of Farmington, MO; two brothers, Quezz Long and his wife, Georgia, of Fredericktown, MO, and Paul Long of St. Louis; two sisters, Reva Simpson and her husband, Phil, of Florida and Lois Kirby of Newport News, VA; and a number of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were held July 1 at Vinyard Funeral Home of Festus, MO, with interment in the National Cemetery
at Jefferson Barracks, MO. Rev. Richard Carter, pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church in Crystal City, MO, officiated the ceremony.

James Washington Aycock, Sr.
James Washington Aycock, Sr., 85, of DeWitt, died Sept. 5 at DeWitt City Nursing Home. He was a retired steel worker and a Baptist.
Survivors are his wife, Bessie Elizabeth DeWease Aycock; three sons, James W. Aycock, Jr., of Monticello, Linden Carroll Aycock of Mabank, TX, Alvin DeWayne Aycock of Kemp, TX; four daughters, Mary Elizabeth Mooneyham of DeWitt; Ruby Helen Friemel and Shirley Ann Russell of Kemp, TX, Yolanda Gay Cleveland of Garner; two brothers, Tommy Aycock of Lodges Corner, Louis Aycock of Marvell; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sept. 7 at Forks LaGrue Church by Bro Steve Mannis and Bro. Dale Wilson with burial in Forks LaGrue Cemetery

Raymond L. Beason
Raymond L. Beason, 53, of Baytown, TX, died Sept. 6. He was employed by Lansco-Hydro Chemical of Deer Park, TX, and was a Vietnam veteran. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond "Man" Beason, and a brother, Wendell Beason.
Survivors include his wife, Deloris Ramus Beason; one son, Raymond M. Beason of Baytown, TX; his mother, Evelyn Beason of Gillett; a sister, Sandra VanHorn of Gillett; and many nieces and nephews.

Ruby Arlene Hudson, 66, of DeWitt, died Sept. 7. She was a Baptist and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Charles H. Hudson; one daughter, Connie Kirby of Kinsley, KS; four sisters, Mary Osburn and Jo Ann Hildebrand, both of Kinsley, KS, Georgetta Smith and Velma Gales, both of Hutchinson, KS; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Leanna Davis Hudspeth
Leanna Davis Hudspeth, infant daughter of James Mack and Michelle Hudspeth of Fulton, KY, was stillborn Sept. 7 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, KY.
Other survivors include her maternal grandparents, Prentice and Carolyn Davis and Margaret Davis of DeWitt; her paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Shirley Hudspeth of Tunica, MS; a sister, Madalyn Hudspeth of Fulton, KY; a brother, Franklin Hudspeth of Fulton, KY; and her great-grandparents, Ella Raines of DeWitt, Syble Hudspeth of Tunica, MS, and Earlene Parrish of Sledge, MS.

Melvin (Darzell) Gaither
Melvin (Darzell) Gaither, 41, of Chicago, died Sept. 10 at DeWitt City Hospital. He was born Sept. 13, 1958, to O.C. and Earnestine Gaither of DeWitt. He was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Ethel.
Survivors include two sons, Chrisshun Gaither and Thamayua Gaither, both of Chicago, IL; six brothers, Billy Dorsey of Ethel, Henry Gaither and Johnny Gaither, both of DeWitt, Charles Melvin Gaither of Flint, MI, Willie Gaither of Chicago, IL, and Richard Gaither of Stuttgart; four sisters, Faye Clark, Linda Harris, Connie Gaither and Alice Joyner, all of DeWitt; his godmother, Martha Randle of Chicago, IL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sept. 16, 2 p.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Ethel with burial in St. John Cemetery

Visitation will be Sept. 15 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. A wake will follow from 6-7 p.m.
Gladys Gwendolyn Guthrie Ferguson
Gladys Gwendolyn Guthrie Ferguson, 87, died Sept. 23 at DeWitt City Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Elmer A. Ferguson; three daughters, Carolyn Pryor of Jonesboro, Nancy Rasco Jackson and her husband, Byron, of Hot Springs and Becky Ehrlicher and her husband, Mike, of Memphis, TN; two brothers, Newton Guthrie of Hobart, OK and O.V. Guthrie of San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren, Leslie Pryor Mosby of Jackson, MS, Becca Rasco Cope of Little Rock, Lyn Pryor Crawford of Jackson, MS, Pard Pryor of Jackson, MS, Kent Rasco Magee of Oxford, MS, Chris Ehrlicher Danielson of Memphis, TN, Hallie Ehrlicher Simonton of Memphis, TN; and 13 great-grandchildren. Her caregivers included Faye Best, Susan Whiting, Alesha Whiting and Audrey Ward.
Pallbearers were grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Rush Mosby, Mike Cope, Kip Crawford, Pard Pryor, David Magee, Bjorn Danielson and H.T. Simonton.
Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church Sept. 26. Interment was in DeWitt Cemetery
by Essex Funeral Home of DeWitt.

Winfred O. Grace
Winfred O. Grace, 64, of North Little Rock, died Sept. 22.
Survivors include his wife, Sally Grace and a son, Michael Grace of the home; daughters, sons-in-law and grandchilden, Tina, Mike and Victoria Fisher; Carol, Ed and Dexter Williams; Libby, Scott, Nicolas and Haley Reusser; Kerry and Carroll Eason; Lisa, Gene, Dallas, Bud and Ashley Slayton; and Michelle, Jason, Matt, Cassie, Michael and Kaily Gains; one great-granddaughter; his mother, Willie Mae Grace of Sparkman; a sister, Shirley Moak; and two brothers, Morris and Floyd Grace.
Funeral services were held Sept. 25 at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Forks LaGrue Cemetery
in DeWitt.
