Cecil Vern Kagebein
Cecil Vern Kagebein, 61, of Humphrey, died April 4. He was born Dec. 31, 1941. He was the duck hunting manager for Five Oaks Lodge and a farm manager for MEBCO Corp.. He was a Methodist. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vern Kagebein and Opal Kagebein.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Frannie Kagebein; three sons, Ken Kagebein of DeWitt, Scott Kagebein and his wife, Karen of West Helena, and Justin Kagebein of Humphrey; one grandson, Blake Kagebein of DeWitt; two sisters, Lucille Holbert of Mississippi and Virginia Woodward of Humphrey.
Graveside services were held April 6 at the Almyra Cemetery
with Essex Funeral Home of DeWitt in charge.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Lois Faye McKinley
Lois Faye McKinley, 69, of St. Charles, died April 5 at her home. She was a homemaker and of the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include her husband, Richard McKinley; two daughters, Lisa Boline of Burden, KS, and Sandra Faye Seabury; two stepchildren, William Lee McKinley of Baytown, TX, and Kimberly M. Mills of Corpus Christi, TX; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Barry Dean Norsworthy
Barry Dean Norsworthy, 39, of DeWitt died April 1 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in North Little Rock. He was born June 6, 1963, to Billy Gene Norsworthy and Donna Lou Roe Mustard in Los Angeles, CA. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willard and Dorothy Sayre.
Survivors include his father, Billy Norsworthy of DeWitt; his mother, Donna Mustard of Weed, CA; his friend and companion, Bonnie James of DeWitt; a sister, Darla Norsworthy of Weed, CA; two half-brothers, Wayne Rouse of Huron, SD and Terry Norsworthy of Arizona; three half-sisters, Ruth Kohler of Baton Rouge, LA, Cynthia Oelschlager of Chowchilla, CA, and Yolanda Norsworthy of Cabot; an aunt, Aneita Chance of Conway, numerous cousins and his beloved dog, Dodie Marie.
Graveside services were held April 4 at Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens in DeWitt with Keith Morris officiating. Arrangements were handled by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
Betty Lu Hudson Pattillo
Betty Lu Hudson Pattillo, 83, of DeWitt, died June 28 at Stuttgart Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in DeWitt, a member of Mendelssohn Club, United Methodist Women and the DeWitt Study Club, a former member of the First Methodist chancel choir, and formerly the accompanist for the Men's Choir and Lions Club, music counselor at Camp Tanako and Girl Scout Camp. She was also a children's Sunday school teacher. She was secretary of Pattillo Center and served on the Pattillo Center School Board. She taught in the DeWitt School District for 27 years and presented musicals for the fourth-grade class for several years from "Kid Stuff" to "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown."
She was preceded in death by her parents, T.B. and Mayo Hudson; her husband, Charles L. "Pat" Pattillo; and her brother and sister-in-law, T.F. and Mabel Hudson.
Survivors include her son and his wife, Don and Suzanne Pattillo of Stuttgart; a daughter, Robin Pattillo of DeWitt; grandchildren, Natalie Cook and her husband, Kris of Memphis and Kyle Pattillo and his wife, Misti of Fayetteville; one great-granddaughter, Emory Cook; and one nephew, Gary Hudson of DeWitt.
Funeral services were held June 30 at First United Methodist Church in DeWitt with burial in DeWitt Cemetery
by Essex Funeral Home of DeWitt.

Miles Emitt Jackson, Jr.
Miles Emitt Jackson, Jr., 64, of DeWitt, died June 29. He was a house painter, a member of the Church of the First Born and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Morgan Mannis.
Survivors include one son, Clayton Jackson of DeWitt; one daughter, Misty Mannis of Hunter; two brothers, John Bill Jackson and Skippy Jackson of DeWitt; two sisters, Georgia Raper of Benton and Onnie Morris of Heber Springs; and two grandchildren, McKenzie Mannis and Spencer Mannis of Hunter.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. July 3 at Essex Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Thompson Cemetery

Margaret Lucille McCarty
Margaret Lucille McCarty, 63, of Humphrey, died June 26 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. She was born Dec. 31, 1939, in Stuttgart and was a lifelong resident of the Alcorn community. She was a housewife and a member of the Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Alcorn, where she served as a Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy McCarty of Alcorn; three sons, Scott McCarty and his wife, Glenda, and Ronnie McCarty of Humphrey and Danny McCarty and his wife, Christie, of Humnoke; three daughters, Phyllis Ellenberg and her husband, Darrell, of Stuttgart, Connie Stuckey of Roe and Loretta Covey of North Little Rock; three brothers, Ralph Pierce and Bobby Whatley of Bentonville, and John Whatley of Stuttgart; two sisters, Leanna Pierce and Teresa Gossom, both of Stuttgart; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 30 at Turpin Funeral Home Chapel in Stuttgart by Bro. Pete Bowen and Bro. Kevin Nobles. Burial was in Frazier Cemetery

Cecil O. Bratcher, 77
Lockesburg native had lived in Massachusetts for 52 years
WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Cecil O. Bratcher, 77, a native of Locksburg, Ark., died Feb. 23, 2001 in Westfield, Mass.
He was born in May Pearl, Texas, son of Fannie and Lawson Bratcher of Locksburg, Ark., and had been a resident of Westfield for the past 52 years.
Mr. Bratcher retired in 1980 as a machinist for Sterling Radiator. Prior to that he was a 20-year Navy veteran, serving as Petty Officer 1/C from 1943 to 1963. He participated in the Berlin Air Lift during WWII, and served during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include: his wife, Ruth V. Jacobs Bratcher; two daughters, Donna C. Button-McEwan of Westfield and Debra I. Francis of Columbia, Conn.; a sister, Irene Crabtree of Nashville, Ark.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Janice Buckley, 52
Wife of physician, former Nashville resident
PARIS -- A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 17 in St. Benedict Catholic Church for Janice `Jan" Buckley, 52, of Scranton.
Mrs. Buckley was born Sept. 2, 1948, in Welland Ontario, Canada. She died Thursday, April 11, 2001, in Hartman, Ark.
A former resident of Nashville, Ark., she was a homemaker and president of the board of Community Outreach Services in Paris.
Survivors include: her husband, Dr. Douglas Buckley of Scranton; a daughter, Meghan Graham of Quebec, Canada; two sons, Jay Graham and Tristan Buckley, both of Scranton; her mother, Betty Daw Tunnacliffe of Fenwick Ontario, Canada; and two sisters, Wendy Minor and Cathy Watt, both of Ontario, Canada.
Gladine Bollinger, 70
Former piano teacher, storyteller
NASHVILLE -- Funeral services for Dora Gladine Bollinger, 70, were at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 26 in First Baptist Church with Dr. David Blase officiating.
Burial was in the State Line Baptist Church Cemetery
in Cerro Gordo under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bollinger was born Dec. 27, 1930, in Hugo, Okla., daughter of the late James Luther Cash and Hazel Thomas Cash. She died Thursday, June 21, 2001, in a Hot Springs hospital.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Mary Martha Sunday School Class, WMU and Hope Writers and Storytellers. She taught piano for a number of years.
Mrs. Bollinger was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Bollinger, who died Aug. 20, 2000, and a sister, Magdaline Westmoreland.
Survivors include: a son, William McKinley Bollinger of Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter, Paula Reeder of Madisonville, La.; a sister, Pauline Wolfey of Oklahoma City, Okla.; four grandchildren; and a number of nephews and nieces.
Iola Proctor Hinsley, 96
Dierks woman died in De Queen hospital
DIERKS -- Funeral services for Mrs. Iola Proctor Hinsley, 96, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20 in Holly Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Tim Boren officiated.
Burial was in the Lockesburg Cemetery
under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hinsley was born Sept. 24, 1904, in Logan County, daughter of the late Walter and Artie Mae Whitecotton Proctor. She died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, in a De Queen hospital.
She was a homemaker and member of Holly Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hinsley was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Fredrick `Freddie" Hinsley; and a son, Kenneth R. Hinsley of Lone Star, Texas.
Survivors include: a son, Arlis Hinsley of Dierks; a daughter, Verlene Perry of Euless, Texas; two sisters, Esther Hinsley of Lockesburg and Dorothy Green of Dierks; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Irene Crabtree, 83
Born 1918 at Ben Lomond
NASHVILLE -- Irene Crabtree, 83, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, in a Nashville hospital.
Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20 in Kingaree Chapel Cemetery
under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Crabtree was born Oct. 12, 1918, in Ben Lomond, the daughter of the late Monroe and Fannie Baber Bratcher.
She was a housewife and member of the United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Crabtree was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Crabtree.
Survivors include: a daughter, Nora Sue Parker of Dierks; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
