Davis
JOINER -- Erma Lee Davis, 65, of Joiner died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004 at Baptist Memorial Hospital at Osceola.
Born at Butler, she was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church at Denwood where she sang in the choir. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include four sons, Clarence L. Fulton, Curtis Fowler, Johnny Edward Davis and Robert Ray Fowler, all of Madison, Wis.; five daughters, Erma King, Rosie Davis, Barbara Davis and Norvell Fowler, all of Joiner, and Doris Fowler of Madison; two sisters, Laura Lee Johnson and Lucille Johnson, both of Dakota, Ill.; 34 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mark in Shoffner, with the Rev. Johnny Miller officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery
at Evadale.
Pallbearers will be George Ware, Raz Turner Jr., Willie Earl Washington, Robert Banks, Melvin Hawkins and Kenneth Turner.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Taylor and Kimbrough Funeral Home at Joiner.
Deese
WEST MEMPHIS -- Charles Clifton Deese, 61, of West Memphis died Friday, Feb. 13, 2004 at The Med at Memphis.
He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene at West Memphis.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Deese of West Memphis; three sons, Jerry Deese of Marion, Gary Deese of Southaven, Miss., and Lee Rushing of West Memphis; two daughters, Charlene Zachary of Marion and Gina Paylor of Olive Branch, Miss.; three sisters, Polly Russell of West Helena, Linda Deese of West Memphis and Bonnie Taylor of Hughes; three brothers, David Deese, Jack Deese and Bobby Deese, all of Marion; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, with Tom Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in Crittenden Memorial Park Cemetery
at Marion.
Active pallbearers will be Greg Lackey, Joe Catt, Jerry Catt, Milton Nicks, Bobby Rodgers and Mike Sample.
Honorary pallbearers will include Jimmy Blackford and William Foster.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Elliott
Cleveland F. Elliott, 93, of Jonesboro died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004.
Born at Sherman, Texas, he was a World War II veteran. He was a member of the Jonesboro Elks Club, Jonesboro Country Club and First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Christabel Harrison Elliott of Little Rock; one daughter, Ginger Matthews of Little Rock; one sister, Marcella Meek of Pecos, Texas; and two grandchildren, Amy Christabel Schisler and David Elliott Blumson.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Oaklawn Cemetery
at Jonesboro, with Dr. Dwyn M. Mounger officiating.
Langford's Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
There will be no visitation.

PARAGOULD -- Luci Janette Forbs, 51, of Paragould died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.
Born in Lafe, she was a retired school cafeteria worker for the Paragould School District and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Rickie Forbs of Paragould; two sons, Ben Forbs and Erik Williams, both of Paragould; one daughter, Mysti Forbs Imler of Lake City; her mother, Lena Dacus Rogers of Paragould; and one grandson, Cody Forbs of Paragould.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bennie Rogers.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Heath Funeral Home's Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Strope officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens at Paragould.
Active pallbearers will be Roger Forbs, Dusty Forbs, J.W. Rawls, Leon Dacus, Darrell Rogers Jr., and Erik Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will include Elmer Jessen and Nate Forbs.

ARNOLD, Mo. -- Graveside services for David E. Greer, 64, of Arnold, formerly of Paragould, who died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004 at St. Louis University Hospital, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in New Friendship Cemetery, with the Rev. James Warbington officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Paragould.
Pallbearers will be Michael Greer, Don Tabor, Dove Bayird, Winfred Parker, Raymond England and Bob Hays.
Born in Greene County, he was a retired used car salesman and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Kelly Greer Waymon of Paragould and Sherrie Greer of Trumann; his mother, Jessie W. Francis Greer of Paragould; two brothers, Harold "Ace" Greer of Trumann and Mike Greer of Paragould; and two grandsons, Cody Greer and Kyle Clover, both of Trumann.
He was preceded in death by one son, Danny Greer, and his father, Buford Greer.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Helton
BAY CITY, Mich. -- Madeline Helton, 86, of Bay City, formerly of Piggott, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004 in the Carriage House Nursing Home in Bay City. She was born in Piggott.
Survivors include three sons, Carlos Helton of Fort Myers, Fla., Larry Helton of Hazel Park, Mich., and Eddie Helton of Petoskey, Mich.; four daughters, Shirley Nickel of Mayville, Mich., Adell Buzzell of Onaway, Mich., Elaine Hockey of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and B.J. Helton of Saginaw, Mich.; one brother, Gerald P. Brown of Paragould; two sisters, Mildred Brown and Reba Henson, both of Piggott; 26 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Helton; one daughter, Patsy Huffman; and one brother.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today in Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home chapel in Piggott, with James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery
at Pollard.

JUDSONIA -- Alline Duncan Hogue, 81, of Judsonia died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004 at the White County Medical Center in Searcy.
Born in Cave City, she was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was a former resident of Colt, Forrest City, Hughes and Augusta. She had been a resident of the Oakdale Nursing Home in Judsonia for the past two years.
Survivors include four sons, Joe Floyd and Billy Floyd, both of Stuttgart, Phillip Floyd of Augusta and Ronnie Hogue of Wynne; four daughters, Jean Ashcraft and Carolyn Bailey, both of Judsonia, and Fannie Pottorff and Patricia Ethridge, both of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; two sisters, Pauline Watlington and Bertha Chism, both of Wynne; one brother, Vince Duncan of Dencer, Colo.; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three husbands, William Marion Floyd, Elbert Hogue and Fillie Hogue; and her parents, James Arden Duncan and Nancy Fortune Duncan.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in Wynne. Burial will follow in Hughes Cemetery
at Forrest City.

Johnson
BARTLETT, Tenn. -- Funeral services for Jerry W. Johnson, 58, of Bartlett, who died Friday, Feb. 13, 2004 at Baptist Memorial Health Care at Memphis, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
The Rev. Clinton L. Holder and John Freeman will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tim Lewellyn, Larry Abrahms, David Wayne Johnson and David Allison.
John David Johnson will be an honorary pallbearer.
Born at Pine Bluff, he lived in the Northeast Arkansas and west Tennessee areas most of his life. He attended Jonesboro High School and served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service and was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Cavenar Johnson of the home; one son, Troy Layne Johnson of Pocahontas; one daughter, Stacy Ann Briggs of Bartlett; his mother, Lorene Braddy Johnson of Dallas; two brothers, David Pearl Johnson of Hawaii and P.F. Johnson Jr. of Jonesboro; three sisters, Janie Lewellyn of Jonesboro, Freda Thomas of Williford and Mary Newland of Dallas; his maternal grandmother, Ethel Holt of Sheridan; and three grandchildren, Jessica Lauren Briggs of Bartlett and Garth Wayne Johnson and Sadie Layne Johnson, both of Pocahontas.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
