J.B. "River Slim" Williams of West Memphis died Thursday at his home.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Anthony Funeral Home Chapel South.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Old St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in West Memphis with burial Monday at 10 a.m. at West Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery in Memphis.
Mr. Williams, 79, leaves three daughters, Carolyn Houston of Memphis, Augustine Mathis and Mary Williams, both of West Memphis; a son, J.B. Williams Jr. of West Memphis; his mother, Jessie Mae Williams of Memphis; a sister, Shirley Ann Savage of Memphis, nine grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

D.A. Bratton
D.A. Bratton of Trumann, brother of Clay Bratton of Marked Tree, died Tuesday at his home.
Visitation will be at 4 p.m. today at his home in Trumann. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holly Springs Cemetery in Harrisburg.
Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola has charge of services.
Mr. Bratton, 50, a farm worker, was of the Pentecostal faith.
He also leaves a daughter, two sons, seven sisters, one other brother and two grandchildren.

Jonanna Boyles
Jonanna Lea Boyles of Portland, Ore., formerly of West Memphis, died Thursday in Portland.
A memorial service will be held in Portland.
Ms. Boyles, 44, leaves her mother, Doris Boyles of West Memphis; two sisters, Belinda Skillen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Yolanda Odom of West Memphis, and a brother, Keith Boyles of Alpharetta, Ga.

Alice Jeffries
Alice Mae Jeffries of Chicago, Ill., formerly of Parkin, died Saturday in Chicago.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Anthony Funeral Home Chapel South with burial following in Paradise Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Jeffries, 93, leaves a daughter, Alice Jean Jeffries; six sons, Roosevelt Jeffries, Jerry Jeffries, Jessie Jeffries, Freddie Jeffries, Tommie Jeffries and Bobby Jeffries; two sisters, Louisiana Mitchell and Katherine Miller, and 37 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren and a host of great-great-grandchildren.

Lena Murphy
Lena Matilda Murphy of Leachville, mother of Virginia Covey of Marion, died Thursday at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Howard Funeral Service in Leachville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Second Baptist Church with burial following in Leachville Cemetery.
Mrs. Murphy, 89, a homemaker, was a member of Second Baptist Church in Leachville.
The widow of Lonnie Murphy, she also leaves three other daughters, a son, a brother, 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Walterine Savage
Walterine Savage of Memphis, mother of Sam Thomas II of West Memphis, died Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Zion CME Church with burial in Askew Grove Church Cemetery in Longtown, Miss.
Victory Funeral Home has charge of services.
Mrs. Savage, 68, a homemaker, was a member of Zion CME Church. She also leaves her husband, Sammie Savage, six daughters, three other sons, 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Earnest Burks
Earnest Burks of West Memphis died Sunday at Crittenden Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-12 noon Saturday at First Missionary Baptist Church in West Memphis.
Services will follow at noon at the church with burial in Paradise Gardens Cemetery.
Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home has charge of services.
Mr. Burks, 77, leaves three daughters, Barbara Burks, Linda Sykes and Dorothy Burks, all of West Memphis; two sons, Charles Burks of West Memphis and Ernie Burks Jr. of Jonesboro; a sister, Roberta Daye of Detroit, Mich., and a grandchild.

Joe Cody
Joe Lewis Cody of West Memphis died Tuesday at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rising Sun Missionary Baptist Church in Hughes with burial following in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Mr. Cody, 54, was a farmer. He leaves his wife, Jennie Cody; four daughters, Tiffany McDonald and Lashundra McDonald, both of West Memphis, Erica Cody of Caruthersville, Mo., and Jessica Richmond of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; five sons, Antonio McDonald of Hughes, Jeffery Richmond and Michael Richmond, both of Hayti, Mo., Eric Cody of Chicago, Ill., and Joe Lewis Cody Jr. of Wisconsin; a sister, Mae Lee Black of Marianna; two brothers, Roosevelt Cody and Quincey Cody, both of Hughes, and 17 grandchildren.

Willie Daniels of Parkin died Friday at his home.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at W.H. Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Earle.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Olive Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Parkin with burial following in New Hope Cemetery in Earle.
Mr. Daniels, 80, a farmer, was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Blackfish Lake.
He leaves 10 daughters, Ruthie Mae Washington of Tulsa, Okla., Dorothy Daniels of Forrest City, Bobbie Jean Daniels and Joanne Purnell, both of Wynne, Christine Daniels, Patricia Selvy and Barbara Dean, all of Parkin, Eva Crawford of Jonesboro, Neva Taylor of Hinnesville, Ga., and Emma Jean Daniels of West Memphis; six sons, Larry Daniels of Florida, Bobby Daniels, Jimmy Daniels and Steve Daniels, all of Tulsa, Okla., Ronnie Lee Daniels of Parkin and Donnie Lee Daniels of Wynne; a brother, Robert Tellerton of Horn Lake, Miss., 42 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Parlee Lee
Parlee Myrtle Lee of West Memphis died Tuesday at her home.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.
Roller-Citizens Funeral Home has charge of services.
Mrs. Lee, 95, a homemaker, was a Baptist. The widow of A.J. Lee, she leaves a daughter, Everine Byard of West Memphis; a son, Sterling Lee of Hughes; a stepson, John D. Lee of Horseshoe Lake, and four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Pauline Mills
Pauline Mills of West Memphis died Wednesday in Memphis.
Visitation will be from 12 noon-2 p.m. Friday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.
Mrs. Mills, 75, a homemaker, was a Methodist. She leaves her husband, Frank Mills; four sons, Jim F. Gray of Russellville and Richard W. Gray, Stephen R. Gray and Kenneth L. Mills, all of West Memphis; a sister, Helen Hendrix of Davenport, Fla., and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Deloris Reed
Deloris White Reed of Silver Springs, Md., formerly of Heth, died Saturday at Montgomery General Hospital in Silver Springs.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Anthony Funeral Home South.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Anthony Funeral Home Chapel South with burial following in Paradise Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Reed, 54, was a homemaker.
She leaves her husband, Pearlie Reed; two daughters, Cheryl Y. Reed of Silver Springs and Teresa Reed of Gary, Ind.; two sisters, Verna Robinson of Richmond, Calif., and Joyce White of Forrest City; two sons, Lee White Jr. of Memphis and Anthony White of St. Louis, Mo., and a granddaughter.

Kevin McDonald
Kevin Lee McDonald of Marion died Monday in a Memphis Hospital.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Qualls Batesville Funeral Home in Batesville.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Center Grove Cemetery near Charlotte.

Willie Mae Riggins of Heth died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Services will be at 12 noon Saturday at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Heth with burial following in Paradise Garden Cemetery. Anthony-West Memphis Funeral Home has charge of services.
Mrs. Riggins, 78, leaves a daughter, Mary Lee Smith of Heth; a son, Willie Smith of Madison; two stepdaughters, Juliette Ingram and Bobbie Lacore, both of Huntsville, Ala.; a stepson, Mack Riggins of Chicago, Ill.; a sister, Florence Manning of St. Louis, Mo., seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Reginald Taylor
Reginald Taylor of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Anthonyville, died Sunday at his home.
Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Anthony Funeral Home Chapel in Anthonyville.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Paradise Garden Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor, 31, leaves his mother and stepfather, Johnnie B. and Donald Wallace of Memphis; his father, Lee Ernest Bland of Tennessee; three sisters, Tamara Mosley of Nashville, Tenn., Rhonda Mhandu and Keshia Mays, both of St. Louis; a brother, Kyle Richardson of Memphis and his grandmother, Ethel Taylor of Anthonyville.
