Gerald W. Hammons Sr.
Gerald W. "Jerry" Hammons Sr., age 66, of Stuttgart went to be with his Heavenly Father on April 21, 2002.
He had been hospitalized at St. Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock.
Mr. Hammons was born Jan. 28, 1936, in the Bayou Meto community.
He was a trucker and a Protestant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Sr. and Maudie Hammons; two brothers, Darrel and his wife Nadella Fox and Fred Hammons Jr.; one sister, Naomi Hammons; and a special friend, Jerry Monroe.
Survivors are his wife of 39 years, Teresa Ferguson Hammons; his daughter and her husband, Brenda and Michael Eldridge of Marion; two sons and their wives, Gerald and Shalene Hammons of Conway and Terry and Tesha Hammons of Greenville, Miss.; seven grandchildren, Brad and Bethany Hodges of Marion, Beau and Dustin Hammons of Conway and Taylor, Trent and Tiffany Hammons of Greenville, Miss.; a special mother by marriage, Maggie Ferguson; three sisters and their husbands, Pauline and Clarence "Scoot" Roachell of LaPorte, Texas, Marietta and Harold Davis of Stuttgart and Glenda and Glenn Collins of The Woodlands, Texas; one brother by marriage and his wife, John and Juanita Ferguson of Gravel Ridge; three sisters by marriage and husbands, Carolyn and Bobby Boston of Humphrey, Linda and Eddie Marshall of Dalhart, Texas, and Debra Bradshaw of Wilson, N.C.; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with burial in Bayless Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening.
The family suggests memorials be made to Bayless Cemetery.

Bertha "Polly" Davis
DEVALLS BLUFF -- Bertha "Polly" Davis, age 65, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, at Stuttgart Regional Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 11, 1936, in McComb, Ill., was a homemaker and was employed at the Tobacco Store in Hazen.
Davis was a Baptist.
Survivors are her husband, Herbert Gene Davis; two brothers, James W. Miller and Howard Miller, both of McComb, Ill.; and one sister, Kaye Miller of San Diego, Calif.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Turpin Funeral Home in Stuttgart.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Dodsworth Funeral Home in McComb, Ill., with burial in Goodhope Cemetery in Rushville.

Roy Glenn Roth
ROSHARON, Texas - Roy Glenn Roth, 84, formerly of Stuttgart died Monday, June 25, 2001.
He was born May 31, 1917, in Stuttgart.
He was a retired farmer and charter member of the Stuttgart Auxiliary Police and held the rank of captain until his retirement in 1969 when he moved to Greers Ferry. He was street carnival chairman for the World's Championship Duck Calling Contest and Wings Over the Prairie Festival for many years and was a charter member of Stuttgart Civitan.

Lester Boyd
SHALIMAR, Fla. - Lester Boyd, 84, died Friday, June 15, 2001, at a hospital there.
He was born in Hazen and graduated from Stuttgart High School. He was an alumni of the University of Arkansas. He was a Navy veteran and served during World War II. In 1957, he joined IDS/American Express financial advisors in Oklahoma City, Okla.
In 1966, he assumed responsibility as divisional manager in Jackson, Miss., where he retired in 1971 and then moved to Shalimar.
Prior to his retirement he was a community leader and a deacon in First Baptist Church.
He was also a 32 degree Mason and a member of the Shrine Club.

Sandra Lynette Lyons
Sandra Lynette Lyons, 35, was preceded in death by her mother, Virda Ree Lyons.
Survivors are her father, John L. Lyons; a brother, Edwin Lyons; four sisters, Vicky Stoevsand, Terry Lyons, Sherrie Winberry and Lisa Williams; a nephew, Chris Stoevsand; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jim Brazeal
HUMNOKE - Jim Brazeal, 56. dies Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999.
He was born Dec. 20, 1942, in Humnoke, the son of Luchen and Elsie Mae Crouch Brazeal.
Before becoming disable, he was an eelectrician and a member of Macedonia Baptist church in Humonke.

Bertha J. Nutgrass, 94, of Stuttgart, widow of Clyde Nutgrass, died Monday at Rose Care Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 4, 1905, in Arkansas County. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Jessie Doyle "Bojo" Simmons
HOLLY GROVE - Jessie Doyle "Bojo" Simmons, 60, died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at Cedar Lodge Nursing Home in Marvell.
He was born Jan. 18, 1940, in Daisy, Ark., to Jessie L. and Esther Funderburk Simmons.
He was a farmer and a member of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church at Ragtown.

Rev. Jimmie Lee Hall
GOULD, Ark. - Rev. Jimmie Lee Hall "Mango", 95, died Friday, June 16, 2000, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
He was a veteran of World War II with a Purple Heart, a retired pastor and builder of three churches.

Sibyl I. Fuchs McCollum
DEWITT - Sibyl I. Fuchs McCollum, 68, died Monday, June 19, 2000, at DeWitt City Hospital.
She was a Baptist and homemaker.

Carmon O'Neil Willhite Burgess
HUMPHREY - Carmon O'Neil Willhite Burgess, 83, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at her home.
She was born July 23, 1917, in Lee County.
She was a homemaker and a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Humphrey.

Armour "Skoop" Bryant Sr.
CASSCOE - Armour "Skoop" Bryant Sr., 81, of died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000, at the Veteran's Hospital in Little Rock.
He served in World War II and retired as a farmer after working as a truck driver for 30 years.

Jewel Katherine Inman King
DEWITT - Jewel Katherine Inman King died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000.
She was a bookkeeper and a member of First Baptist Church.

Gwendolyn Denette Hogan Jones
Gwendolyn Denette Hogan Jones, 40, of Stuttgart died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, at Stuttgart Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 13, 1960, in Clarendon to Elmer Sr. and Lucille Johnson Hogan.
She a member of Allen Temple Missionary Baptist Church.

Annie Tyleen Gresham
DEWITT - Annie Tyleen Gresham, 71, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000.
She was a homemaker and a member of North Maple Baptist Church in Stuttgart.
She is preceded in death by her husband Burvie Gresham.

Milton Morgan Gingerich
Milton Morgan Gingerich, 87, of Stuttgart died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2000, at Stuttgart Regional Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 15, 1913, in Stuttgart.
He was a retired farmer, a member of the Fairmount Ruritan, St. John's Lutheran Church where he was an elder, served on the cemetery board and was a member of the St. John's Men's Club.

Margaret Lena McGhie Dillion
DEWITT - Margaret Lena McGhie Dillion, 82, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000.
She was a member of Unity Baptist Church, had operated a jewelry store and was a homemaker.

Jewel Cook Compton
Jewel Cook Compton, 81, died Saturday, April 7, 2001, at the home of her daughter, Marcia Schultz of Stuttgart.
She was born Nov. 6, 1919, at Dalton, Ark., to Addie Tilda Hall and James Franklin Cook.
She graduated from Ravenden Springs in 1938 and taught school for five years.
She was a cattle Farmer on the Eleven Point River until retirement in 1991.

Mae Duncan Murphy
Mae Duncan Murphy, 85, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at Stuttgart Regional medical Center.
She was born June 6, 1915, in Arkansas County and had been a lifelong resident of this area.
Mrs. Murphy was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Alvin Freeman Vinson
Alvin Freeman Vinson, 66, of Stuttgart died Aug. 9, 2001.
He was born Aug. 26, 1934.

Lucille McMillin Rabeneck
Lucille McMillin Rabeneck, age 98, of Stuttgart died Thursdaym Dec. 13, 2001, at Crestpark.
She was born Jan. 1, 1903 in Almyra.
Mrs. Rabeneck was a homemaker and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was the widow of Eldor H. Rabeneck.
Survivors are three sons, Glenn Rabeneck and wife Gert of Stuttgart, Ralph Rabeneck and wife Mary Ann of Beebe and Donald Rabeneck and wife Elizabeth of Stuttgart; two daughters, Ruth Biela of Springfield, Mo., and Wanda Phelps and husband Joe of Stuttgart; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
