Mrs. Mary Francis Copelin
Mrs. Mary Francis Copelin, resident of Mena, died Friday, December 19, 2003.
She was born December 8, 1916 in DeQueen and and lived the past 60 years in Mena.
Mrs. Copelin is survived by one son: Steve Copelin and one daughter: Joyce Liles, both of Mena; and one sister: Anne Bunyard of DeQueen; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are pending under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.

Mr. Elmer Ray Pitchford
Mr. Elmer Ray Pitchford, age 51, a resident of Dierks, AR died Sunday, December 21, 2003 in Little Rock, AR.
He was born October 31, 1952 in DeQueen to Elza B. "Jody" and Rose Goodman Pitchford. He was a member of the Mr. View Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a daughter in 1977, his father in 2000, and a brother in 2001.
He is survived by his wife: Marie Hill Pitchford of Dierks; 2 daughters: Georgeanna Pitchford of Amity, AR, and Samantha Smith of Dierks; 4 sons: Johnny Ray Pitchford of Glenwood, AR, Obie Pitchford of New Hope, AR, Blake Pitchford and Lane Pitchford, both of Dierks; a grandson: Shawn Rider of New Hope; his mother: Rose Mae Pitchford of Dierks; 2 sisters; Caroline Halcombe of Dierks, and Tina Richardson of Glenwood; 2 brothers: Roy Pitchford and Calvin Pitchford, both of Dierks; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Pitchford will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2003 in the Mt. View Baptist Church with Stan Bailey and Kenny Bizzell officiating. Burial will follow in the Burg Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home of Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2003 at the Dierks Chapel.

Mrs. Jeffie Johnson
Mrs. Jeffie Johnson, age 91, a resident of DeQueen, AR died Wednesday, February 18, 2004 in the DeQueen Regional Medical Center.
She was born October 14, 1912 in Quitman, TX to George and Roxy Miller Rink. She was a homemaker, retired from the DeQueen School System, and a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church in DeQueen.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Gus Johnson in 1991; and two sisters: Ethel Whitley and Flo Morrison.
She is survived by two daughters: Jackie Lyons and La Vonne Mullins Tutt, both of DeQueen; a sister: Frankie Brooks of DeQueen; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great -great grandson.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Jeffie Johnson will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2004 in the Redmen Cemetery with Rev. Bill Fish officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home of DeQueen.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
The family will be at the home of Jackie Lyons, 502 N. Bennett in DeQueen.

Natalie Joy Wagner
Natalie Joy Wagner, infant daughter of Jason and Denice Wagner, died February, 16, 2004 at a Ft. Worth, TX hospital.
In addition of her parents, she is survived by a sister: Grace; her grandparents: Joyce and Tommy Wagner of Horatio and Don adn Vonice Dawley of Arkadelphia; her great-grandparents: Mildred Etzkorn of DeQueen and Frances Wagner of Horatio; two uncles: Chad and Steven Wagner both of Horatio.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2004 at the Clear Creek Cemetery with Father John Kerr officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home of DeQueen.

Mrs. Eula Bailey
Mrs. Eula Elizabeth Davis Bailey, age 77, resident of DeQueen, died Friday, February 20, 2004, in Bookewood Nursing Home.
Mrs. Bailey was born at White Cliffs, AR, on August 31, 1926. She was a retired accountant and cashier, and was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Buck and Debra Bailey of Wickes, AR; one sister: Helen Beck and five grandchildren, Janell Howell of Cove, AR; Kim Bailey; Brittany Bailey; Brandon Bailey, and Tanner Bailey all of Wickes, AR; two great-grandchildren: Brandy and Brooke Howell of Cove, AR.
Memorial services for Mrs. Eula Davis Bailey will be held at 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 23, 2004 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scottie Ray officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ernestine Griffin Roberts Pate
Mrs. Ernestine Griffin Roberts Pate, age 73, a resident of Dierks, AR died Sunday, February 22, 2004 in Little Rock.
She was born on September 25, 1930 in Dierks to Ernest and Ethel Elizabeth Garner Griffin. She was a retired nurse and a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Dierks.
She is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Butch and Nancy Roberts of Gillham, AR, Bobby Lynn Roberts of Gillham, AR and Bruce Allen Pate of Dierks, AR; two daughters and one son-in-law: Deborah and Charles Smith of New Hope, AR and Anita Kaye Pate of Dierks, AR; three brothers, Ches Griffin and Gerral Griffin, both of Dierks, and Donnie Griffin of DeQueen; two sisters: Pat Alexander and Helen Lightfoot both of Dierks; fourteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2004 in the Dierks Cemetery with Rev. J. W. Gilbert officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at the Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks, AR.

Mr. George Edward Reed
George Edward Reed, 77, of Arden, AR, died Monday, February 23, 2004 in a Texarkana hospital.
He was born June 6, 1926 at Foreman, AR, was a retired employee of the Arkansas Highway Department and was a member of the Foreman Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie Miller Reed; two sons, Eddie Reed and Frank Reed, Sr., both of Ashdown, AR; one daughter, Anita Turner of Virginia; one brother, Henry Flood of Ashdown; her grandchildren, Julie and Jessica Reed, Frank Reed, Jr., Jennifer Siler and Lillian Smitty; one great-grandson, Austin Siler.
Funeral services for Mr. Reed will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2004 at the Foreman First Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in the Arden Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in De Queen.

Mr. Isable H. Hogg
Mr. Isable H. "Bill" Hogg, age 85 of Dierks, AR died Sunday, May 2, 2004 at Dierks.
He was born November 1, 1918 in Howard County, AR to John Richard and Lela Conatser Hogg. He was a member of the Dierks united Methodist Church, was a retired truck driver for Weyerhaeuser and was predeceased by a son, Ronald and two brothers, Lendell and Edwin.
Mr. Hogg is survived by his wife: Opal Watson Hogg; one son and daughter -in-law: Don and Bonnie Hogg of De Queen: one brother: Elmer E. Hogg of Houston, TX and one sister: Linnie Gaddis of Dierks; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Hogg will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, at the Dierks United Methodist Church with Rev. Garry Wiles officiating. Burial will be in the Green's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home of Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home in Dierks.

Mr. John Allen Morgan
Mr. John Allen Morgan, 83, of Shelby, NC, died Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at his home.
He was born Sunday, March 20, 1921 in Bethel, OK, he was the son of the late William Pink Morgan and Hattie Tate Morgan. He attended Texarkana Junior College and Southeastern Teachers College. He retired from the U. S. Army after thirty years, during which he served in World War II, Korea, and Viet Nam. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, camping, and fishing. He attended the Community of Christ Church in Charlotte, NC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Sharp Morgan on July 3, 2002; two brothers, Taylor and Bill Morgan, and three sisters: Gertrude Bender, Hazel Corley, and Ruth Corley.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Lynda and Gerry Mayo of Atlanta, GA and Peggy and Ali Paksoy, JR of Shelby, NC; four grandchildren, Stephanie Norrell of Montgomery, AL, Lance Shapiro of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Whitney Bridges of Los Angles, CA and Travis Mayo of Atlanta, GA; four great-grandchildren: George Norrell, William Norrell, whit Shapiro, and John Shapiro; four sisters: Leona Fly of Larkspur, CO, Faye Kirk of Vista, CA, Marjorie Taylor of Winthrop, AR and Shirley Methvin-Logsdon of Albuquerque, NM.
Funeral services for Mr. Morgan will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 8, 2004 in the Community of Christ Church in Winthrop, AR with Terry Hess officiating. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home of De Queen.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 7, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150; The American Cancer Society at 500 East Morehead Street, Charlotte, NC 28202, or to the charity of your choice.

Mrs. Patricia Mae Crampton Brezler
Mrs. Patricia Mae Crampton Brezler, age 57, resident of De Queen, died Monday, June 14, 2004 in the Brookwood Nursing Center at De Queen.
She was born to Raymond Henry and Helen Stallmeyer Crampton at Williamsport, Maryland, on February 6, 1947. She was a CNA with Brookewood Nursing Center and was a member of the Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two sons, John Buffington and Billy Buffington, both of Hagerstown, Maryland; two daughters, Teresa Mae Loving of Idabel, Okla. and Lorie Ann Taylor of Broken Bow, Okla.; three brothers, Merle Crampton of Baltimore, Maryland, Wilbur Crampton of Hagerstown, Maryland and Raymond Crampton of De Queen; three sisters, Reba Crampton, Helen Lappy and Brenda Miller all of Hagerstown, Maryland and six grandchildren.
Viewing was from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, June 14, at Chandler Funeral Home with cremation to follow.

Vivian Lee "Ma" Lansdell
Vivian Lee "Ma" Lansdell of Foreman died Sunday, June 13, in Texarkana. Visitation was at the Madden Funeral Home Chapel in Foreman Monday evening.
Funeral services were at the Crossroads Baptist Church at Crossroads, Ark. at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 16th with burial at the Alleene Cemetery.

Mrs. Donna Marie Cary
Mrs. Donna Marie Willis Cary, age 45, a resident of Gillham, AR, died Monday, June 14, 2004 in De Queen.
She was born Thursday, October 13, 1958 in Irving, Texas. She was a truck driver for the Cattleman's Livestock Market in Glenwood and a member of the Community of Christ Church in Grannis.
Mrs. Cary was preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Anthony Owen.
She is survived by her father, Bill Willis of Wickes, AR; her mother, Ethel (Cannon) George of De Queen; her husband, Anthony Cary; one son, Kenneth Wayne Cary; two daughters, Latisha Owen Cary and Lori Cary, all of Gillham; three grandchildren, Titus Blain Owen, Taylor Owen and Lyndon Allen Davis; one brother, Billy Willis of Wickes and two sisters, Becky Hulse and Juanita Walling of Horatio and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Cary will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 18, 2004 in the Community of Christ Church in Grannis with Richard Leach and Johnny Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in the Gillham Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 17, at the funeral home.
