PARAGOULD -- Memorial services for Kenneth Patrick Frisby, 61, of Paragould, who died Sunday, June 27, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, were held at Center Hill Church of Christ Monday.

Born at Wellington, Mo., he worked as a driver for Howard Trucking of Newport. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Kay Hicks Frisby of the home; two sons, Stephen Frisby of Maumelle and Tim Norman of Jonesboro; two daughters, Anissa Frisby of Paragould and Kimberly Garner of Batesville; four grandchildren, Alicia Frisby of Paragould, Elizabeth Garner of Batesville and Josh Norman and Matthew Norman, both of Jonesboro; and five great-grandchildren.


Geneva Faye Gilbert, 55, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, June 29, at her home.

Arrangements will be announced by Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.


RAVENDEN SPRINGS -- Patrick Ruel James, 46, of Ravenden Springs died Sunday, June 27, at Strawberry.

Born at Tachikawa Air Force Base in Japan, he served in the Air Force during Operation Desert Storm and worked as a load master.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Allen James of Ravenden Springs; four sons, John James, Daniel James, Joseph James and David James, all of the home; his parents, Charles D. Sr. and Theresa Vella James of Ocala, Fla.; four brothers, Dow James of Shanghai, China, Joe James and Gregory James, both of Canal Point, Fla., and Tim James of Belleview, Fla.; and a sister, Patricia Ann Juntikka of Fort Myers, Fla.

A memorial service with military honors provided by members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4556 is scheduled for 7 p.m. today in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. The Rev. Thomas Marks will officiate.


LAKE CITY -- Funeral services for Troy V. Jones, 86, of Lake City, who died Sunday, June 27, at his residence, have been scheduled for 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

The Rev. Captain Lovell will officiate, and burial will follow in Monette Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include Sandy Henderson, Sam Ellington, Tom Steed, David Neisler, Bryan Griggs and Adam Griggs.

Honorary pallbearers will include Tommy Jones, John A. Jones Jr., Kayla Jones, Christopher Jones, Colby Jones and Caitlyn Jones.

A former resident of the Half Moon community and Monette, he was a retired telephone company construction worker and was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include his wife, Grace Jones of the home; two sons, Johnny Jones of Monette and Earl Jones of Blytheville; two sisters, Inez Towell of California and Stella Drennon of Missouri; a brother, Coy Jones of Montana; a half sister, Joan Masters of Manila; a half brother, Charles Jones of Michigan; three stepbrothers, Harold Cox and Thomas Cox, both of California, and Danny Cox of Missouri; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Marure Jones; his stepmother, Jewell Nunnelly; two sisters; and three brothers.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. today at the funeral home.


HOXIE -- Bubby McLaughlin, 40, of Hoxie died Tuesday, June 29, at his residence.

Born at Imboden, he was a carpenter and lived in Hoxie and Clover Bend most of his life. He was a member of the Christian Assembly Church.

Survivors include his mother, Della Ivy of Ravenden; three brothers, Charles McLaughlin of Egypt, R.L. McLaughlin of Oakville, Ga., and Jerry McLaughlin of Hoxie; and four sisters, Betty Lee of Alicia, Lavetta Mae Walker of Ravenden, Carolyn Morris of Rochelle, Ill., and Deborah Lynn Looney of Black Oak.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.C. McLaughlin, four brothers and one sister.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Strangers Home Cemetery at Alicia, with Roger Brand officiating. House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will include David Gates, Steve Gates, Bobby Gates, Anthony McLaughlin, Bryan McLaughlin, James Newman and Shawn Worley.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.


CAVE CITY -- Omega V. Milligan, 84, of Cave City died Monday, June 28, at Cave City Nursing Home.

Born at the 104 community, she was a retired store owner and was a member of Mount View Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Annetta King of Grange; two granddaughters, Sara Branscum and Tammy Coles, both of Batesville; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Millgan, her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Milligan Campground Presbyterian Church near Strawberry, with Grayden Milligan officiating. Burial will follow in Milligan Campground Cemetery under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Great-nephews will serve as pallbearers.


McCRORY -- Jimmy Dean Reddell, 52, of McCrory died at his home Tuesday, June 29.

He was a graduate of the Little Rock School for the Deaf and attended Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C.

Survivors include two sisters, Donna Kay Reynolds of McCrory and Sharon Diane Bartlett of Russellville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Neal Donald and Willie Dean Curbo Reddell.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in McCrory, with the Rev. Steve Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in Woodman Cemetery at McCrory.

Active pallbearers will include Wayne Young, Keith Young, Ronnie Reddell, Don Jones, Jeff Bordelon and James Bartlett.

Honorary pallbearers will include James Curbo and Tommy Curbo.

Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church at McCrory.


Funeral services for Felton Scott, 54, of Jonesboro, who died Friday, June 25, at St. Bernard's Medical Center, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church on Kitchen.

The Rev. Herman Lewellen will officiate, and burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Woodard Funeral Service of Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers will be Roger McKinney, Curtis Howard, Everett Arbuthnot, Frankie Davis Sr., Mark Evans and Willie Langrone.

Honorary pallbearers will include David Scott, John Perry Scott, Cedric Scott, Terry Scott and Tyrone Thompson.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Scott had lived in Newport before moving to Jonesboro 35 years ago. He worked as a grinder for Delta Tools and was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Friar of Jonesboro and Shawn Williams of El Cajon, Calif.; four daughters, Toya Williams of El Cajon and Tannica Gamble, Letitia Morgan and Tabitha Stitts, all of Jonesboro; four sisters, Patricia Turner and Martha Scott, both of Jonesboro, Darlene Mack of Hampton, Ga., and LaShun Turner of Lansing, Mich.; two brothers, Perry Scott and David Scott, both of Jonesboro; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claibron Sr. and Iceal Scott, and a brother.


SALEM -- Lena Opal Shell, 91, of Salem, died Tuesday, June 29, at Salem.

Born at Salem, she had worked as a cook for Salem schools and Fulton County Hospital. She was a member of Salem First Baptist Church, the Order of Eastern Star, Salem Lodge No. 521, and the Salem Garden Club.

Survivors include three daughters, Charlene Collins of Salem, Jo Ella Maguffee of Arcadia, Mo., and Joy L. Wood of Mountain Grove, Mo.; five grandchildren, Andrew Jeffery Collins, Tammy Scullin, Terri Walker, Sean Wood and Cydney Cunningham; 12 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jefferson Shell; her parents, Grover Cleveland and Eydth Halbrook Fudge; two sisters; two brothers; and a grandson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Salem First Baptist Church, with John Hodges and Andrew Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem.

Pallbearers will include Andrew Collins, Sean Wood, Jeremy Cunningham, David Walker, John Scullin and Clint Collins.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Salem First Baptist Church building fund.
