COAL HILL — Wavie R. West, 100, of Coal Hill died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, in Clarksville. She was born Oct. 15, 1900, in Coal Hill. She was a homemaker and a member of Coal Hill Church of Christ. She was the widow of Addison “Banty” West.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Coal Hill Church of Christ with burial at West cemetery in Coal Hill under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
She is survived by six daughters, Rosetta Britt of Terrell, Texas, Dolores Johnson of Wichita, Kan., Osalee Perry, Wavie York, and Arelevia Perry, all of Clarksville, and Mozella West of West Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Rosalee Brown of Little Rock, Evelyn Flood of California, and Sarah Hughes of Van Buren; 28 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be William, Ethan, Tyrone, Anthony, Joe Perry Jr. and Justin Pittman.

Mary White
MENA — Mary Almeda “Meda” White, 90, of Mena died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, in Mena. She was born Feb. 14, 1911, in Pine Ridge. She was a retired nurse’s aide, and a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was the widow of K.F. White Sr.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. today in Beasley-Wood Funeral Home Chapel in Mena with burial at Hillside cemetery near Big Fork.
She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Anderson of Mena; two sons, William White of Jefferson, Texas, and K.F. White Jr. of Parks; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jessie, William, and Mike White, Jammey Anderson, Ronnie Jewell, Tim Laws, Scott Webb, and Travis Floyd.

James Walcott
GREENVILLE, Miss. — James Dexter Walcott, of Greenville, Miss. died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001. He was born in Hollandale, Miss. and graduated from Greenville High School. He attended Texas A & M and Ole Mississippi where he was a member of Delta Kapa Epsilon. He was an Navy veteran of World War II and a Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a farmer and was associated with Walcott and Steel Company. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church.
Memorial service will be 4 p.m. Thursday in St. James Episcopal Church in Greenville with burial at Greenville cemetery under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home in Greenville, Miss.
He is survived by his wife, Annis Lick Walcott; one daughter, Annis Walcott Cox of Columbus, Miss.; two sons, James Dexter Walcott Jr. of Fort Smith and Carswell McClellan Walcott of Fairhope, Ala.; one sister, Doris Walcott Caldwell of La Selva Beach, Calif.; one brother, Dewitt Walcott Jr. of Greenville, Miss.; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church in Fort Smith.

Clara Moore
ROUND ROCK, Texas — Clara M. Moore, 98, of Round Rock, Texas, formerly of Mena, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, in Austin, Texas. She was born Sept. 7, 1902, in Chandler, Okla. She was a retired fourth-grade school teacher and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Business and Professional Women’s Club and the Chamber of Commerce. She was the curator and treasurer of the Historical Society and a member of the First Christian Church in Mena. She was the widow of John C. Moore.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Oak Park cemetery in Chandler, Okla. under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Lou Plum of Round Rock, Texas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Rev. R.L. Threatt
MAGAZINE — The Rev. R.L. Threatt, 72, of Magazine died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, in his home. He was the pastor of the Solid Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church in Magazine.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Solid Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial at Ellington cemetery in Magazine under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie Faye Threatt of Aubrey, Texas; four daughters, Sharon Lanel Threatt of Glenwood, Shirley Elaine Fowler of Little Rock, Colleen Faye Reicks of Aubrey, Texas, and Beverly Irene Threatt of Denton, Texas; one son, Gary Lee Threatt of Glenwood; two sisters, Francis Fultz of Coal Hill and Lloys May of Euless, Texas; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jim Garrison, John Parker, Randy and Brandon Bryan, Jerry Travis and Daniel Gray.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Dwight Claphan
CEDARVILLE — Dwight Edward Claphan, 70, of Cedarville died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, in Fayetteville. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, and a retired lineman for the railroad.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today in Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Dripping Springs cemetery near Uniontown.
He is survived by three daughters, Kathy Moore of Kansas, Okla., Linda Elliott of Stafford, Kan., and Merrill Espinosa of Hoisington, Kan.; one sister, Mary Alice Cook of Denver; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be members of Bently and Edward’s Racing Teams.

Ellen Seibert
Ellen Isabel Seibert, 82, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was a retired advertising manager for K-Mart and a retired accounting supervisor at Fort Chaffee Exchange. She was a lifetime member of DAV Auxiliary, American Legion, and the First Lutheran Church.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday in First Lutheran Church in Fort Smith with burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by one son, James Seibert of Pasadena, Md.; two brothers, William W. Green of Fort Smith, and John J. Green of Dothan, Ala.; one niece, Marilynda Green Farris of Mountainburg; three nephews, Phil Green of Searcy, Robert Green of Clinton, Miss., and David Green of Houston.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Anna Delaney
WEST ALLIS, Wis. — Anna Delaney, 93, of West Allis, Wis., formerly of Fort Smith, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, in Wauwatosa, Wis. She was a retired secretary for The Automotive, Inc. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, past president of Lutheran Women’s Missionary League on both the local and zone levels, the directress of the Altar Guild and a volunteer at First Lutheran Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Lutheran Church with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by one son, Jim Delaney of Wauwatosa, Wis.; one brother, Fred Ladage of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, Leann Delaney of Germantown, Wis., Timothy and Kevin Delaney, both of Milwaukee, and Jay Delaney of El Granada, Calif.; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Timmy, Kevin, Sean, and Jay Delaney, Tom Klein and Mark Koenig.
The family will visit with friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Donna Wright
Donna L. Haire Wright, 58, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. today in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, James E. Wright Sr.; three daughters, Ginger L. Wright of Ocoee, Fla., and Debbie Oliver and Tammy S. Andrews, both of Fort Smith; one son, Jimmy Wright Jr.; her mother, Violet Haire of Fort Smith; one brother, Roy Lee Haire of Fort Smith; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Harold Bateman, Bob Becker, George and Lyndell Foster, Harold Blaylock and E.J. Sellars.

William Lowrimore
FAIRHOPE, Ala. — William George Lowrimore, 85, of Fairhope, Ala., formerly of Mena, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, in Alabama. He was born Sept. 15, 1915, in Ritz. He served in the Merchant Marines and was a member of the Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years. He was a welder for Comet Corp. in Spokane, Wash., and was a Southern Baptist.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Beasley-Wood Funeral Home Chapel in Mena with burial at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Ann Rivero of Daphne, Ala., and Sharon Diane Yenne of Elberta, Ala.; one half sister, Beulah Jones of Mena; two half brothers; six grandchildren, Michelle Ann Coleman of Mobile, Ala., Maureen Davis and Michael Jae Rivero, both of Fairhope, Ala., David Scott Yenne of Sacramento, Calif., Rebecca Diane Fillingham of Daphne, Ala., and Mary Catherine Buck of White House Fork, Ala.; and seven great-grandchildren.

Wilma Garrett
SPIRO — Wilma Wells Garrett, 94, of Spiro died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, in Spiro. She was a homemaker, a retired cook for Spiro Nursing Home and a Baptist. She was the widow of Clyde B. Garrett Sr.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at New Hope cemetery east of Spiro under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by one son, Dr. Clyde B. Garrett Jr. of Spiro; one sister, Evelyn Wiley of Rogers; three grandchildren, Michael Garrett of Spiro and Dena Cox and Leticia Garrett, both of Spiro; and two great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Carl Truelove
MOUNTAINBURG — Carl Truelove, 75, of Mountainburg died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, in a local hospital. He was a retired cattleman, employee of Fort Smith Stockyard and a Baptist.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Pigeon Creek Free Will Baptist Church with burial at Conley cemetery in Mountainburg under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; three daughters, Betty Aubin of Florida, Cathy and Angie Truelove, both of Russellville; two stepdaughters, Debra Truelove and Judy Becker, both of Mountainburg; five sons, David of Florida, Fred of Missouri, Danny of Mountainburg, Gary Don of Oklahoma and Jerry of Kansas City; one stepson, David Lee Church of Mountainburg; one sister, Imal Brisco of Harrison; one brother, Van Truelove of Fort Worth, Texas; 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Willroth, Earl Slusher, Dale and Nicklous Reed, Bruce Bull, and Eugene Riggs.

Roger Peevy
ALMA — Roger Leon Peevy, 72, of Alma died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, in a local hospital. He was an Army veteran, a retired heavy equipment operator for Crawford County Highway Department and a member of the Sovereign Grace Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Alma with burial at Simmons cemetery in Alma.
He is survived by three daughters, Brenda Limbocker of Alma, Linda Reavis of Van Buren, and Glenda Yates of Odessa, Texas; one son, Roger of Alma; one sister, Mary Alice Boatwright of Alma; five brothers, Walter, Vilus, Thell, and Randall, all of Alma, and Bruce of Gatesville, Texas; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Limbocker, Brian White, Justin, Ray, David, and Mike Pevy.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

James Jackson
SPIRO — James E. “Pat” Jackson, 75, of Spiro died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, in Spiro. He was born Aug. 17, 1925, in Colby, Kan. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Cattleman’s Association, American Quarter Horse Association, and the Paint Horse Association. He was retired from ICX Truck Lines, a rancher and a member of Saint Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Spiro.
Rosary will be 8 p.m. Wednesday in Grace Manor Funeral Home Chapel in Poteau.
Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Immaculate Conception Church in Poteau with burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith with full military honors by the VFW Post No. 4446 of Stigler.
He is survived by his wife, Alvera; three daughters, Mary Dinges, Cathy Temple, and Colette Chesner, all of Denver; five sons, Daryl of Poteau, Kenneth of Bokoshe, Kevin, Chad, and Mark, all of Spiro; one brother, Dean Jackson of Denver; 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Jerry P. Ritchie
Jerry P. Ritchie, 58, of Pocola died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was a U.S. Postal Service Letter Carrier and a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Wrenetta Ritchie of Pocola; three sons, Alan and Linda Burns of Fort Smith, Brian and Becky Burns of Bloomington, Ind., and Craig and Verna Burns of Alma; one brother, Bill and Becky Ritchie of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, Blake, Breckenn, Brennan, Baylee and Brianna Burns.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Fentress Mortuary.

Lowell H. Perry
Lowell H. Perry, 93, of Tulsa, longtime resident of Fort Smith, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, in Tulsa. He was retired from O.G.& E. after 43 years as an accountant. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and church treasurer.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. A private graveside service will be held before the memorial service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Okla Bradley Perry after 56 years of marriage. He is survived by two daughters, Carole Perry and Nancy and Lawrence Chisum, both of Tulsa; two sisters-in-law, Rachel Perry of Sallisaw, and Doris Williamson of Dallas; one brother, Floyd and Dorothy Lewis of Sallisaw; two grandchildren, Craig, Gina, and Marla Chisum; and one great-grandchild, Byran Lowell Chisum.
Memorial contributions may be made to charity of donor’s choice.
