Jessie Corbell
PORUM — Jessie Alma Webb Corbell, 97, of Porum died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, in Porum. She was the widow of John Corbell.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Assembly of God in Porum with burial at Fields Cemetery in Porum under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
She is survived by three daughters, Lucille Klemme , Fairrell Hartwick and Norma Bell, all of Oklahoma City; two sons, Bobby and J.C. Corbell, both of Porum; a sister, Lida Cantrell of Amarillo, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Ella Mae Mills
Ella Mae Mills, 82, of Van Buren died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, in a local nursing home. She was a retired licensed practical nurse for 31 years at the Salinas Memorial Hospital in California and she attended the Christian Church in Uniontown. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Mills, and two sons, Wayne and Gary Mills.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Uniontown Cemetery.
She is survived by a companion, Luther Hardin of Van Buren; a daughter, Carolyn Silva of Van Buren; three sons, James Mills of Uniontown, Thomas Mills of Salinas, Calif., and Earl Mills of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Edna Brown of Van Buren and Jo Malone of West Fork; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael and Mark Mills, Jamie Quinalty, Kim Toney, Jeramy Goin, Mark and Mike Stolz and Jeff Morton.
Honorary pallbearers will be her favorite nephews.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Larry F. Mansell
Larry F. Mansell, 62, of Arkoma died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, in a local hospital. He was in sales for Felix Thompson and a member of Cavanaugh Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie of the home; his daughters and son-in-laws, Amy and Heath Branscum of Arkoma, Vickie and Jay Phillips of Perry, Ga., Christa Story of Macon, Ga., and Cindee and Darrell Boone of Warner Robins, Ga.; a brother, Billy Duke Mansell of Fort Smith; six grandchildren, Jackson Noah and Madeline Rose Branscum, both of Arkoma, Ashley and Haley Hawke, both of Georgia, and Marla and Lynn Dixon, both of Georgia; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Nolen Branscum, Clyde Dodson, Chris Caldwell, Jim Fisk, Eddie George and Ed Freeman.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Robert K. Blalock
Robert K. Blalock, 86, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, in Fort Smith. He was retired from marketing with Gulf Oil Company after 25 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church and an Army veteran of World War II.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Shelby Blalock; a daughter, Carol Swistak and her husband, Jim of Grapevine, Texas; a son, Robert K. Blalock of Warrenville, Ill.; four grandchildren, Thomas Blalock, Christine O’Barr and Krystle Blalock, all of Illinois, and Amanda Swistak of Grapevine, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Austin O’Barr, Tyler O’Barr and Jacob Blalock, all of Illinois, and survived by a dear friend, Angela Kypriotou of Fort Smith.
Viewing will be 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

Sue Jean Stewart
Sue Jean Stewart, 75, of Fort Smith died Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, in Fort Smith. She was a retired registered nurse and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was born in Van Buren. Her parents, Keith and Tressie Webster Jr., and her brother, Keith Webster Jr., preceded her in death.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Roebuck Chapel under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. John Ben Stewart; two daughters, Ann Penn and her husband, David of Austin, Texas, and Stacie Lee Ashcroft and her husband, Norm of Kansas City, Mo.; a son, John B. “Jeb” Stewart Jr. of Van Buren; three grandchildren, John David Pen, Eric and Amy Cobb; and a great-grandchild, Joshua Cobb.
Family will greet friends following the memorial service at Roebuck Chapel.

Leamon Flippin
Leamon P. Flippin, 91, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, in a local nursing home. He born March 31, 1911, in Fort Smith. He the former owner of Flippin Body Shop, a member of First United Methodist Church, a 33rd-degree Mason and received his Masonic 50-year pin, a member of Belle Point Lodge No. 20 and a Shriner.
Masonic graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He survived by a daughter, Sharon Flippin of Alma; and a sister, Violet Wickersham of Fort Smith.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 320 N. Greenwood Ave., Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Joe Smith Jr.
BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Joe O. Smith, Jr., 78, of Broken Arrow, Okla., died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, in Broken Arrow. He was a retired pilot for the Air Force and a retired air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration, a member of the First Christian Church in Tulsa, an Air Force veteran of World War II, Korean and Vietnam wars, a 32nd-degree Mason, a member of Masonic Lodge and past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was the widower of Ruth Eichling Smith.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Liberty Cemetery in Greenwood.
He is survived by a daughter, Claudia Velona of New Orleans; two sons, William and Joe David Smith, both of Broken Arrow, Okla.; three sisters, Vaulta Montgomery of Springfield, Mo., Francis Davis of Albuquerque, N.M., and Billie Morrison of Belen, N.M.; and three grandchildren.

Herbert Brasher
Herbert L. Brasher, 90, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, in Fort Smith. He was a retired carpenter, a member of Park Hill Church of Christ, an Army veteran of World War II, receiving six Bronze Stars, a Silver Star and the Purple Heart.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; a stepdaughter, Della M. Yocum of Fort Smith; a brother, Roy Brasher of Tulsa; three stepgrandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charley Douglas, Earl Flood, Elvis Thurman, Richard Broyles, Dan Medley and Matt Griffin.

Marion Wilemon
Marion Wilemon, 78, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, in her home. She was born July 26, 1924, in Missouri. She was a homemaker and a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Smith. She was the widow of Jimmy Wilemon.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion in Poteau under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by a daughter, Dee Wilemon Dunton of Gaithersburg, Md.; two sons, Jimmy A. Wilemon Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M. and Charles D. Wilemon of Poteau; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Missie Franklin
PARKS — Missie Franklin, 79, of Parks died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, in a local hospital. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Parks Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Parks Baptist Church with burial at Hawkins Cemetery in Parks under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
She is survived by a sister, Adenial Miller of Parks.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie and Kelly Joe Cole, Keith and Lemon Piles, Bill Frost and Danny Morran.

Ella Mills

Anthony Cunningham
MENA — Anthony Lee Houston Cunningham, infant son of Ernie and Jennifer Cunningham of Paris, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, in a Little Rock hospital. He was born Feb. 14, 2002, in Little Rock.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at Corinth Cemetery under the direction of Hall Funeral Service of Mena.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Barbara and Chuck Edwards of Big Fork, Barbara Faye Brannon of Mena and R.L. and Mary Wallace of Mena; and a great-grandmother, Norma Cunningham of Waldron.

Venita Nelson
WALDRON — Venita Josephine Nelson, 78, of Waldron died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was the widow of Henry Lynn Nelson.
Graveside service will be 4 p.m. today at Duncan Cemetery in Waldron under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
She is survived by a sister, Willa Mae Blackmon of Waldron; a brother, John Morris of Waldron; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Walter Watham
GORE — Walter Lester Sylvester Watham, 32, of Gore died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, in Gore. He was born June 11, 1970, in Ada, Okla. He was an asphalt layer and a Protestant.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Gore with burial at White Cemetery northwest of Gore.
He is survived by his wife, Kim; three sons, Jordon, Jacob and Jeffrey Watham of Harrah, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Mariah Ann Watham of Gore; three stepsons, John Burrows of Harrah, Okla., Nichlos Watham and Zachary Watson, both of Gore; his mother, Mary Ann Watham of Asher, Okla.; a sister, Lucky Watham of Asher, Okla.; two brothers, Carl Watham of Ada, Okla., and Johnny Watham of Oklahoma City; two half brothers, Jimmy Farmer of Ada and Ronnie Farmer of St. Louis, Okla.
The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Richard Honeycutt Jr.
SALLISAW — Richard Honeycutt Jr., 57, of Sallisaw died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, in Sallisaw. He was June 26, 1945, in Marble City. He was employed at Flanders Furniture Manufacturing in Fort Smith and a Protestant.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Marble City Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Velma; three daughters, Flossie Hittle of Dallas, Virginia Mathews of Southwest City, Mo., and Charlotte Layton of Kansas, Okla.; three stepdaughters, Jackie Stewart and Pamela Morris, both of Sallisaw, and Dale Lynn Vaughn of Midway, Tenn.; a stepson, John D. Roark of Sallisaw; five sisters, Edith Copeland of Marble City, Nora McLemore of Eufaula, Okla., Ruth Vanderpool of Tulsa, Irene Branham of Sallisaw and Evelyn Crowson of Oolagah, Okla.; three brothers, Fred and Charley Honeycutt, both of Tulsa, and Doyle Honeycutt of Sand Springs, Okla.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Alan, David and Clint Honeycutt, Odel Branham, Mark and Bobby Copeland.
The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Howard Boman
Howard C. Boman, 78, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, in Fort Smith. He was a retired Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, a member of Living Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Smith, the Arkansas Retired Military Association, Disabled Vets, AMVETS, VFW and the American Legion and was a retired contract painter.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith with full military honors.
He is survived by his wife, Utanah; two daughters, Linda Real and Sue Christian, both of Fort Smith; three sisters, Marjorie Trigger and Jennie Bowman, both of Crosswell, Mich., and Louise Falk of Port Huron, Mich.; two brothers, Keith Boman of Crosswell and Bruce Boman of Port Huron, Mich.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Sean and Michael Real, Bobby Stone, David Cordell, Mike Weeks and James Steele.
