Lance Lawson
KEOTA — Lance Kelly Lawson, 35, of Keota died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, in Oklahoma City.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Unity Baptist Church with burial at Old Cache Cemetery in Keota under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
He is survived by two sons, Dylan Lovell and Darrell Lovell, both of Bokoshe; his parents, Lonzo and Carol Lawson of Keota; a sister, Dalea Pruitt of Sallisaw; and a brother, William Lawson of Keota.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Blaylock, Randall Blevins, Dustin, Whimpy, Jason and Jimbo Lawson and Joe Wise.

Inema Robins
CHARLESTON — Inema Robins, 76, of Charleston died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born March 27, 1927, in Logan County. She was a member of Potts Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston with burial at Potts Cemetery south of Charleston.
She is survived by her husband, Luther; two daughters, Pamela Connor of Bentonville and Cindy Combs of Charleston; a brother, Glendell Rainwater of Tulsa; two grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Tilton Scott
FORT COFFEE — Tilton Scott, 76, of Fort Coffee died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003 in Oklahoma City. He was a member, usher and deacon of Mount Triumph Baptist Church, a lifetime member of the NAACP and was an Army veteran.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Triumph Baptist Church with burial at Fort Coffee Cemetery in Spiro under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.
He is survived by five daughters, Yvonnie Chambers and Esterene West, both of Oakland, Calif., Myrlene Steel and Rozella Scott, both of Oklahoma City and Angela Scott of Grand Prairie, Texas; six sons, Felton Scott of Fort Smith, Sandie Scott of Germany, Danny Scott of Chicago and Darnell and Tilton E. Scott, both of Fort Coffee, Okla., and Terrance Scott of Grand Prairie, Texas; three sisters, Minnie Kirven of Oklahoma City and Emma Johnson and Maureen Bristol, both of Wichita, Kan.; seven brothers, Walter, Huey, Clarence, Marion, Joe and Isaiah Scott, all of Wichita, Kan., and Josh Scott of Panama City, Fla.; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the funeral home.

Emily Bryan
Emily M. Bryan, 94, of Fort Smith died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was a Navy veteran of World War II, served on the Sparks Hospital Women’s Board, was a Junior League of Fort Smith Sustainer and was active at St. John’s Episcopal Church and was the widow of Lemuel Bryan.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at St. John’s Episcopal Church with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Doug Smith, Bob Meek, Brad Jesson, Jim Oram and Ben and Bryan Cabell.
Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Clinic, 615 N. B St., Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Betty Reed
Betty Reed, 78, of Fort Smith died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was retired from Sparks Regional Medical Center.
Services are pending. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
There are no known survivors.

Ruby Traylor
BOKOSHE — Ruby Dora Traylor, 77, of Bokoshe died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, in Bokoshe. She was the widow of Otis Traylor.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Mallory Funeral Home Chapel in Stigler with burial at Old Panther Cemetery in McCurtain.
She is survived by three daughters, Marslene Traylor of Panama, Floy Traylor of Wister and Mary Manigold of West Virginia; three sons, Johnny Traylor and Paul Kniesley, both of Bokoshe, and Dale Traylor of Keota; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Richard Traylor. Shannon and Chris Rice, Facundo Daniel Jr., Kelly Kniesley and Dennis Hicks.

Richard Bowman
ENTERPRISE — Richard Earl Bowman, 45, of Enterprise died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, in Enterprise. He was a heavy equipment operator.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Mallory Funeral Home Chapel in Stigler. Family will have a private interment at a later date.
He is survived by his mother Peggy Underwood of Quinton, Okla.; his father, Steven Bowman of Artesia, N.M.; his stepfather, David Underwood of Russellville; a sister, Brenda Benson of Enterprise; and a brother, George Underwood of Yukon, Okla.
The body may be viewed 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family requests friends and relatives bring personal photos for a photo memorial during visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Grace Law
PARIS — Grace Helton Law, 69, of Paris died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, in Paris. She was a homemaker, of the Assembly of God faith and the widow of J.W. Helton.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Paint Rock Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by four daughters, Beulah Vincent of Tennessee, Isabel Jordan of Gans, Judy Barnes of Booneville and Myrtie Cameron of Paris; two sons, Ronald Helton of Charleston and Jerry Helton of Magazine; a sister, Beulah Tidwell of Danville; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

C.H. Gordon
GREENWOOD — C.H. “Cub” Gordon, 87, of Greenwood died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, in Greenwood. He was a retired coal miner and foreman for Sebastian County Road Department, a member and deacon of Mount Zion Baptist Church. He was the widower of Pauline Gordon.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Greenwood with burial at Dawson Cemetery in Milltown under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by a daughter, JoAnn Bryan of Greenwood; a son, Richard Gordon of Greenwood; two sisters, Virgie Sparks of Fort Smith and Sue Shockley of St. Louis; a brother, the Rev. Terrel Gordon of Farmington; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his nephews.
The body may be viewed 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Beverly Easter
POTEAU — Beverly F. Easter, 74, of Poteau died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, in Poteau. She was born March 5, 1929, in Redlands, Calif. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Southside Baptist Church in Poteau with burial at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by her husband, Earnest; two daughters, Sara Traylor of Jacksonville, Ala., and Beverly Vinson of Griffin, Ga.; five sons, George Bollinger and Emmett Easter, both of Amarillo, Texas, Thomas Bollinger of Griffin, Ga., Larry Bollinger of Jacksonville, Ala., and Terry Bollinger of Poteau; two sisters, Thelda Miller and Imogene Menley, both of Redlands, Calif.; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Willis Crowder
Willis Lee Crowder, 69, of Van Buren died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, in his home. He was born Aug. 5, 1934, in Van Buren. He was a retired employee of Budget Tire and Supply, a business man and former owner of Donut Chef in Van Buren, a former Teamster and shop steward in Santa Ana, Calif., and attended Maple Shade Church of the Nazarene in Alma.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at Woodlawn Memorial Park Chapel with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, LaRue; a daughter, Kristen Harding of Little Rock; two sons, Terry Crowder of Oklahoma City and Michael Crowder of Fort Smith; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie and Jesse Miller, Burl Crowder, Lonnie Dickens, Bufford Baker and Bill Terry.

Alta Campbell
FANSHAWE — Alta L. Campbell, 95, of Fanshawe died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, in Wilburton, Okla. She was born Jan. 4, 1908, in Latham, Okla. She was a homemaker, a member of Fanshawe Free Will Baptist Church and the widow of Harley Campbell.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Norris Creek Free Will Baptist Church in Norris Creek with burial at Fanshawe Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by three daughters, Vesta Hyatt of Arkoma, Shelby Fairfield of Jackson, Calif., and Donna Sumpter of Red Oak, Okla.; two sons, Harley Campbell of Roseburg, Ore., and Johnny Campbell of Wilburton, Okla.; a sister, Edna Mize of Tulsa; 29 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James and Jeremy Thornburg and Matthew and Arley Campbell.

Ray Cox
POTEAU — Ray Robert Cox, 88, of Poteau died Monday, Sept. 8, 2003, in Fort Smith. He was born Feb. 15, 1915, in Wilburton, Okla. He was of the Baptist faith and the widower of Sarah Cox.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Berge-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in National City, Calif., with burial at La Vista Memorial Park in National City, Calif. Local arrangements are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by his wife, Edna; two sons, Bobby Cox of Heavener and Donald Cox of Corona, Calif.; a sister, Alta Wagner of Wilburton, Okla.; a brother, Clarence Cox of Oklahoma City; and two grandchildren.

Olga Meigs
DECATUR — Olga Meigs, 82, of Decatur died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2003, in Fayetteville. She was born Dec. 12, 1920, in Decatur. She worked as a lab technician for Peterson Farms and was a Protestant.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Decatur with burial at Decatur Cemetery under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Service of Gravette.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne; three daughters, Shirley Nance of Pineville, Mo., Mary Henderson of Decatur and Donna Meigs of Fort Smith; a son, Lex Meigs of Decatur; a sister, Myrl Smith of Gentry; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Herman Houston
CLARKSVILLE — Herman “Snapper” Houston, 89, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2003, in Clarksville. He was born July 22, 1914, in Clarksville. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a retired car salesman, a member of Harmony Masonic Lodge No. 453, and was a Baptist. He was the widower of Margaret Houston.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Woodland Baptist Church with burial at Woodland Cemetery in Woodland under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville.
He is survived by two daughters, Ann Williams and Marilyn Trone, both of Clarksville; a son, Herman Houston of Clarksville; a sister, Willie Cater of Clarksville; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Scott and Paul Houston, James and Jared Trone, Jon Williams and Jeff Dougan.
