PARIS — Cresence Hatwig Neumeier of Paris died Saturday, July 31, 2004, in Paris. She was a homemaker, worked as a chief operator for the local telephone company for a number of years, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Altar Society amd Mother’s Society, and the widow of Leo Neumeier.
Rosary will be 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris.
Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by two sons, George Neumeier of Paris and Thomas Neumeier of Russellville; a brother, George Hatwig of Paris; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gary and Curtis Simmons, Glen Stengel, Larry Buck, Jerry Freeman and Gary Rainwater.

Iva Embry
ROCKVILLE, Mo. — Iva P. Embry, 87, of Rockville, Mo., formerly of Fort Smith, died Saturday, July 31, 2004, in Appleton City, Mo.
Funeral will be 7:30 p.m. today at Hill & Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Mo. Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Free Will Cemetery in Newton County.
She is survived by two sons, Jim Embry of Rockville, Mo., and Glenn Embry of Layton, Utah; and a sister, Alice Miller of Seminole, Okla.
The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Free Will Cemetery in Newton County.

Marvin Durham
Marvin E. Durham, 80, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, in a local nursing home. He worked for Ayers Furniture Co. as an upholsterer for 41 years, and was a Baptist and an Army Corps veteran of World War II.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; two sisters, Alma Graham of Midwest City, Okla., and Naomi Graham of Fort Smith; a brother, Sonny Durham of Fort Smith; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Carl Simmons, Tom Adams, Larry, Roy and Bobby Hale and Delmar Bullington.

Leonard Mosier
MOUNTAINBURG — Leonard Henry Mosier, 74, of Mountainburg died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, in Van Buren. He was born Jan. 20, 1930, in Locke community. He was retired from Franklin Electric Co.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Locke Faith Assembly of God with burial at Locke Cemetery in Locke community under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Mulberry.
He is survived by a sister, Leona Ethridge of Colcord, Okla.; and two brothers, Robert Mosier of Locke community and Billy Mosier of Orange, Calif.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pauline Minton
HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. — Pauline Minton, 75, of Hopkinsville, Ky., died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004. She was born Nov. 6, 1928, in Stuart County, Tenn. She was a waitress.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home in Hopkinsville, Ky.
She is survived by three daughters, Malloy Riley of Gracey, Ky., Deborah Huffman of Seffmer, Fla., and Wanda Meadows of Alma; a son, Ricky Miller of Louisville, Ky.; a brother, Billy Ball of Dover, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Bertha Casey
SALLISAW — Bertha Elizabeth Casey, 96, of Sallisaw died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, in Perryton, Texas. She was born Dec. 4, 1907, in Hanson community, Okla. She was a homemaker, attended First Baptist Church in Sallisaw, and was the widow of John Casey.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Sallisaw City Cemetery.
She is survived by three daughters, Doris Lang of Sallisaw, Joyce Moore of Asheville, N.C., and Bonnie Gooch of Perryton, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dale Cluck, Donald Gooch, Scott Moore, Joe Long, Mike Casey and Robert Rumsey.
The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Jewell Vernon
MULDROW — Jewell Marie Vernon, 86, of Muldrow died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, in Sallisaw. She was born Aug. 10, 1917, in Muldrow. She was a homemaker, an upholsterer for Fort Smith Chair Co., a charter member of First Assembly of God in Muldrow and the widow of Thomas Vernon.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God in Muldrow with burial at Blackjack Cemetery northwest of Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by a daughter, Winnell Lynch of Sallisaw; two sisters, Cleo Russell and Imogene Ely, both of Muldrow; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The body may be viewed 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Effie Shores
WALDRON — Effie Magnolia Shores, 97, of Waldron died Saturday, July 31, 2004, in Waldron. She was the widow of Howell Shores, attended the Square Rock Methodist Church, was a member of Scott County Home Economist Club and the T.O.P.S. Club, attended the Scott County Senior Citizens Center, and was retired from ARVAC.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron with burial at Duncan Cemetery in Waldron.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Belding of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; a brother, Famous Hunter of Seligman, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Jeannine Fletcher
HACKETT — Jeannine Fletcher, 75, of Hackett died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, in her home. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Fort Smith and was retired from Taliano’s.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood. The body will be cremated.
She is survived by three daughters, Jeanne Titsworth of Hackett, Vicky Cole of Van Buren, and Gaye McIlwaine of Fort Smith; a son, Gary Fletcher of Hackett; a brother, Spence Flowers of Fort Smith; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Virginia Cotner
FAYETTEVILLE — Virginia Cotner, 73, of Fayetteville died Saturday, July 31, 2004, in Fayetteville. She was an accomplished pianist and a member of the Faith Pentecostal Church of God in Fayetteville.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. today at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Stigler with burial at Briartown Cemetery in Briartown, Okla.
She is survived by four daughters, Donna Lovett of West Fork, Ronna Volk of Fayetteville, Elizabeth Long of Lincoln and Jackie Evans of Greenland; a son, Jerry Daniels of Lamar, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, J.J. Volk, Keith Holt, Jeremy Daniels, Scott Bryant, James Fulton, Stephen Partain, Jason Lovett and Jason Cates.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

Crescence “Hatwig” Neumeier
Crescence “Hatwig” Neumeier of Paris died Saturday, July 31, 2004, in Paris of natural causes. She was a homemaker, worked as a chief operator for the local telephone company for a number of years, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Altar Society and Mother’s Society, and enjoyed gardening and quilting. Preceded in death were her parents, Robert and Mary (Raible) Hatwig, and husband, Leo H. Neumeier.
Rosary will be 7:30 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris.
Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by two sons, George Leo Neumeier of Paris and Thomas Robert Neumeier of Russellville; a brother, George Robert Hatwig of Paris; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Henry H. Woods
Henry H. Woods, 85, of Van Buren died Saturday, July 31, 2004, in a local hospital. He was retired from Farmer’s Coop in Van Buren and was a member of the Church of God (Seventh Day) in Fort Smith. He married Louise Samples on Nov. 5, 1949.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; two daughters, Marcia Sanders and husband Randy of Van Buren, and Sue Ann Gold and husband Elroy Gold Jr. of The Woodlands, Texas; one son, Steve Woods and wife Susan of Fort Smith; three sisters, Evelyn Bass and Bobby Woods, both of Van Buren, and Maxine Woods of North Little Rock; three brothers, Harry Woods of Fresno, Calif., and Dean and George Woods, both of Van Buren; seven grandchildren, Matt Sanders of Van Buren, Adam Sanders of Little Rock, April Sanders of The Woodlands, Texas, Jeremy Woods and wife Frankie of Fort Smith, Josh Woods of Fort Smith, and Haley and Elise Clemmons of The Woodlands, Texas; and one great-grandchild, Lennon Woods of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Matt, Adam and Randy Sanders, Jeremy and Josh Woods and Elroy Gold Jr.
Honorary pallbearer will be Walter Thompson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 102454, Atlanta, GA 30368; or the Family Life Center at the Church of God Seventh Day, 3915 Massard Road, Fort Smith, AR 72903.

Clyde S. Gudermuth Sr.
Clyde S. Gudermuth Sr. of Alpharetta, Ga., formerly of Webster Groves, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2004, in Alpharetta. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6, 2004 at Dover Place Christian Church in St. Louis.
Surviving family members are his son and daughter-in-law, Clyde Gudermuth Jr. and Leslie of Fort Smith; his daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Silva and Victor of Alpharetta, Ga.; his grandchildren, Lori Weigel and her husband, Doug, of Denver, Ted Gudermuth and his wife, Jordanna, of Cambridge, Mass., Elisa Silva of Alpharetta, Ga., and Miriam Silva of Gloucester, Mass.; and his great-granddaughter, Vivian Kay Weigel of Denver.
While living in the St. Louis area, Clyde Gudermuth Sr. was a 32nd degree Mason participating in the Arab Patrol at the Moolah Temple. He was a charter member of the St. Louis Section, Society of Plastics Engineers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, St. Louis.

Ruby Dorothea Harrelson
Ruby Dorothea Harrelson, 87, of Greenwood died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, in Greenwood. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Hackett. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Harrelson, and one son, Glen Paul Harrelson.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, at the First Baptist Church in Hackett, and graveside service and burial will be 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at Oakwood Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, Iowa.
She is survived by one son, Gene Harrelson of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; one daughter, Judy Foote of Hackett; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be 1 to 9 p.m. today at McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 9 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Gaylan Foote, Galvin Foote, Tony Parker, Cameron Foote, Zach Brooks and Adam Mickle.
