Anna Ponce
DYER — Anna M. Ponce, 46, of Dyer, formerly of Alma, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, in a local hospital. She was born July 13, 1958, in Long Beach, Calif. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Southside Baptist Church in Alma with burial at Dyer City Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
She is survived by a son, Anderson Terry of the home; and a brother, Terry Rea of Dyer.
Pallbearers will be Harold Hill, Alan Kiker, Phil Harris, Tom Steward, Mike Formen and Tim O’Kelley.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Southside Baptist Church.

Paul Williams
CLARKSVILLE — Paul Duane Williams, 62, of Clarksville died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, in his home. He was retired from Union Pacific Railroad and an Army veteran with military honors.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville with burial at Lamar Cemetery in Lamar.
He is survived by a companion, Connie Jaegers of Lamar; three daughters, Paula and Kaci Williams, both of Lamar, and Sherri Chronister of Clarksville; two sons, Lyndell and Travis Williams, both of Lamar; a sister, Patty Johnson of Clarksville; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Sam, Charles, Tommy, George and Jim Davis and David McKinney.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Daniel Way
Daniel “Eddie” Way, 72, of Fort Smith died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, in his home. He was a member of AARP and the VFW in Alma. He retired from Riverside Furniture, and was in the Army where he served in the Korean War and received the Purple Heart.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Jewel; four daughters, Pamela Wilson of Fort Smith, Rose Bode of California, Janet Cornish of Nebraska, and Tammy Angel of Van Buren; two sons, Roy Wilson of Texas and Billy Wilson of Van Buren; two sisters, Marie Moore and Jeanette Williams, both of Fort Smith; two brothers, Douglas Way of Arkansas and John Way of Crossett; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Chris Becker, Coty and Mike Angel, Chad and Billy Wilson and Darrell Gattis. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1274, Fort Smith, AR 72902.

Dorothy Davis
BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Dorothy Davis, 81, of Broken Arrow, Okla., died Saturday, July 31, 2004, in her home. She was born Dec. 9, 1922, in Clarksville. She attended schools in Arkansas, was a longtime member of the Assembly of God, and the widow of G.W. Davis.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Faith Fellowship Church with burial at 2 p.m. at Maple Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Amis-Kennard Funeral Services of Broken Arrow, Okla.
She is survived by two daughters, Joan Shatwell and Laura Bean, both of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two sons, G.W. Davis Jr. of Porter, Okla. and A.J. Davis of Broken Arrow, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Louise Nixon
LAVACA — Louise Nixon, 86, of Lavaca died Friday, July 30, 2004, in Little Rock. She was born June 15, 1918, in Sebastian County. She was a homemaker, a member of Lavaca United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, and the widow of Harmon Nixon.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Lavaca United Methodist Church with a private burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.
She is survived by three sons, Victor Nixon of Little Rock, Kenneth Nixon of Overland Park, Kan., and Wade Nixon of Flower Mound, Texas; two brothers, Jack Rankin of Porterville, Calif. and C.C. Rankin Jr. of Coalinga, Calif.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lavaca United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 36, Lavaca, AR 72941; or Alzheimer’s Arkansas, 10411 W. Markham, Suite 130, Little Rock, AR 72205.

Juan Delgado
WICKES — Juan Trinidad Delgado, 48, of Wickes died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, in his home. He was born July 22, 1956, in Totoltepec, Guerrero Mexico. He was a member of the Praise Temple Church.
Funeral was held Tuesday at Juan Diego Church in Wickes with burial at Grannis Cemetery under the direction of Hall Funeral Service of Mena.
He is survived by his wife, Felicitas; a daughter, Olivia Delago of Wickes; three sons, Jose, Miguel and Juan Delgado, all of Wickes; his mother, Petra Delgado of Wickes; three brothers, Nicolas and Timoteo Delgado, both of Wickes, and Porfirio Delgado of Mexico; and a halfbrother, Heriberto Trinidad of Mexico.
Pallbearers were Marcelo Trinidad, and Timoteo, Enrique, Nicolas, Jose and Miguel Delgado.

George Maddox
PARIS — George Decleat Maddox, 86, of Paris died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, in Paris. He was a retired carpenter and an Army veteran of World War II.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with burial at McKendree Cemetery in Subiaco.
He is survived by his wife, Leona; a son, Jim Maddox of Paris; a sister, Bessie Ault of Tulsa; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Austin and Bob Maddox, Bradley Nolan, David Ault, Aaron Clanson and Cory VanMeter.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Morris Featherston
SUBIACO — Morris Finis Featherston, 75, of Subiaco died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was a retired dairy farmer, in radio sales, was a veteran of the Korean War and attended Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Paris.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Paris with burial at McKendree Cemetery in Subiaco under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; two daughters, Terry Brandenburg of Subiaco and Lori Taylor of Vilonia; three sons, John Featherston of Fort Smith, Ron Featherston of Lavaca, and Steve Featherston of Subiaco; a sister, Patricia Moore of Westchester, Ky.; a brother, Bill McGehee of San Antonio; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bud Inman, Tommy Moore, Wilber Alio, Adam Johnson, Ray Watkins and Mike Cox.
Honorary pallbearers will be Men’s Sunday school class.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Sarah Louthain
KEOTA — Sarah “Fran” Louthain, 66, of Keota died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, in Stigler. She was a member of the Home and Community Education Star Extension Club, worked several years as a printer for the Hallmark Co. and was a homemaker.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Cowlington Cemetery in Cowlington under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick; two sons, Roger Louthain of Keota and Scott Louthain of Kansas City, Mo.; and a grandchild.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

Lyda Sharum
Lyda Sharum, 87, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, in Fort Smith. She is a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Fort Smith, and worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Paris, France; Istanbul, Turkey; Washington, D.C.; and New Orleans.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. today at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
She is survived by a sister, JoAnn Reynolds of Lavaca; and two brothers, Clarence and Robert Sharum, both of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Steve and Tim Sharum, Don and Dale Reynolds, Glenn Hopkins and Dr. Jim Yandell.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church, 1920 S. Greenwood, Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Danielle Hunter
OZARK — Danielle Rae Hunter, 14, of Ozark died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, in Ozark. She was born Jan. 14, 1990, in Pine Bluff. She was a student at Ozark Junior High School and a member of Altus Pentecostal Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at Highland Cemetery in Ozark.
She is survived by her parents, Danny and Tammy Hunter of Ozark; a sister, Amber Hunter of the home; two brothers, Tyler and Danny Hunter Jr., both of the home; maternal grandparents, Sandra and Dennis Ashby of Lamar; paternal grandparents, Dena and Mary Hunter of Hartman; and great-grandmother, Wilma Lambert of Pine Bluff.
Pallbearers will be Roger Walker, Keith, Richard and Bill Lambert, Henry Spencer, T.J. Wood and David Cliff.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Thomas McCleod II
SALLISAW — Thomas Jerry McCleod II, 32, of Sallisaw died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, in Sallisaw. He was born June 8, 1972, in Fort Smith. He was an electrician and heat and air installer, a Baptist and a member of the National Guard.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw with burial at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie; two daughters, Madison and Mariah McCleod, both of the home; two sons, Matthew and Marshall McCleod, both of the home; his mother, Ruth McCleod of Sallisaw; a sister, Shawnna Sallee of Houston; and maternal grandfather, Charley Davis of Sallisaw.
Pallbearers will be Jason Burt, Jeff Harrison and Brian Ramm.
The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Veora Murphy
Veora Murphy, 49, of Gentry passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2004, in her home. She was born Dec. 1, 1954, in Orange County, Calif., the daughter of Jack and Vivian Lowrey Hettinger. She was raised up around Bokoshe and graduated from Bokoshe High School. She was a software manager for a computer company and attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Siloam Springs. She was a devoted wife, mother and sister. Veora is preceded in death by her mother.
Cremation arrangements by Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Murphy of the home; they were married June 18, 1981. One son, Robert Bradford Murphy of the home; three sisters, Leann Clark of Siloam Springs, Georgetta Holman of Sallisaw, and Leora Green of Gentry; and two brothers, Richard Hettinger of Siloam Springs and O’Riley Hettinger of Bokoshe; two halfsisters, Cyndi Throndson of Ozark, Mo., and Bobbi Downell of Wichita, Kan.

Juanita Law Sewell
Juanita Law Sewell, 80, of Van Buren died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at Brownwood Manor. She was born May 8, 1924, in Ratcliff. She is survived by her two sons, Litton Logan of Los Alamos, N.M. and Joe Logan of Clarksdale, Miss.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her sister, Fay Snidow of Abingdon, Va.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at Garden of Memories in Charleston.

Mrs. Betty Whitlock
Mrs. Betty Whitlock, 85, of Paris died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, in a Paris hospital. She was the widow of Warren Whitlock and was a member of the Paris Arkansas Church of Christ.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Alma Cemetery in Alma under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Wrubel of Newport Beach, Calif., and LaRue Cochran of Ann Arbor, Mich.; one son, Jerry Whitlock of Troy, Mich.; a sister, Lou Davis of Paris; a sister-in-law, Ruby Whitlock of Alma; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Wrubel, Shari Davis, Stephen Wrubel, Timothy Wrubel, Ryan Whitlock, Robin Keith, Carl Ralph; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Wrubel, Dr. Dirk Davis, Tyler Davis, Roger Crouch, Louie Whitlock, Ben Davis and Bill Davis.
Mrs. Whitlock may be viewed until 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7.
