James G. Coker
James G. Coker, 57, of Ozark died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a maintenance worker for Tyson Foods and an Army veteran.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at Highland Cemetery in Ozark.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda; two daughters, Tonya and husband Tommy Fraser of Clarksville and Tammy Coker of Fort Smith; a son, Ray and wife Deanne Coker of Ozark; a sister, Dorthy Tanton of Onalaska, Texas; two brothers, Charles Coker of Hull, Texas, and Donald Coker of Zapata, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gary Ragsdale, Steve Williams, Bobby Nichols, Jade Moholland, Lewis Robinson, Darrell Lemmons, Johnny Harmon and Bo Tanton.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Sister Emerita Beck
Sister Emerita Beck, 84, of Fort Smith died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was a registered nurse and a member of the National Association of Catholic Chaplains.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. today at St. Scholastica Monastery Chapel with burial at St. Scholastica Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
Pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Scholastica Continuing Care Fund, P.O. Box 3489, Fort Smith AR, 72913.

Myrna Loudamy
MENA — Myrna Clematene Loudamy, 66, of Mena died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, in an area hospital. She was born Oct. 25, 1938, in Big Spring, Texas. She was a travel agent and a member of the First Baptist Church in Lake Jackson, Texas.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pinecrest Memorial Park under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
She is survived by her husband, Roy.

Dale Carkhuff
ALMA — Dale Bruce Carkhuff, 39, of Alma died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, in a local hospital.
The body will be cremated. No services are planned.
He is survived by his father, Richard Carkhuff of Alma; three sisters, Linda Carkhuff of Alma, Cindy Vozel of Fort Smith and Karen Carkhuff of Berkeley, Calif.; and a brother, Richard Carkhuff Jr. of Riverside, Calif.

Willie Swank
MENA — Willie Luke Swank, 84, of Mena died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004, in his home. He was born March 19, 1920, in Westoff, Texas. He was an auto mechanic, an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a Baptist.
The body was sent for cremation by Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena. A memorial service will be announced later by the family.
He is survived by his wife, Lynne; a son, Paul Swank of Houston; a sister, Golda Wainwright of Houston; and two grandchildren.

Henry Hamilton
Henry Allen Hamilton, 46, of Van Buren died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, in his home. He was born July 24, 1958, in Mulberry. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and a retired truck driver.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gill Cemetery.
He is survived by his friend, Becky Guyton of Van Buren; his mother, Donna Hamilton of Van Buren; and a brother, Ricky Hamilton of Alma.
Pallbearers will be Mark Warren, Jim Gooch, Jeff Painter, D.J. and Don Oliver and Todd Montgomery.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Louise Johnson
Louise Myra Johnson, 88, of Fort Smith, formerly of Detroit, was a member of King Solomon Christian Center and was retired from the University of Chicago.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at King Solomon Christian Church in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit under the direction of Swanson Funeral Home of Detroit.
She is survived by a son, Richard Brasfield of Fort Smith; a sister, Maggie Johnson of Detroit; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Fort Smith.

Garlen Frost
ROLAND — Garlen Glenn Frost, 83, of Roland died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was born July 19, 1921, in Magazine. He was retired from Chase Brothers Dairy in Oxnard, Calif., and was a member of the Church of Christ in Roland.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ in Roland with burial at Baxley Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Roland.
He is survived by his wife, Bea; a daughter, Retha Deghi of Roland; a son, Glenn Frost of Union, Ky.; two sisters, Reba Buck of Muldrow and Ema Brown of Paris; two brothers, Darvin Frost of Branch and Doyle Frost of Charleston; five grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dan Edwards, Voyne Davis, Harold Slate, Darnell Blaine, James Frost, Pete Deghi and Darrell Vix.
The body may be viewed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday.

Ima Lavern Edgmon
Ima Lavern Edgmon, 73, of Charleston died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, in Charleston. She was born Dec. 5, 1931, in Pine Mountain to Vern Ramsey and Cora Ragsdale Ramsey. She was a member of Charleston First Free Will Baptist Church, a cook for Charleston Senior Citizens Center and Fort Chaffee, and former owner of Charleston Cafe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cletis Edgmon Sr.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Free Will Baptist Church in Charleston with burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.
She is survived by three sons, Cletis C. and Sue Edgmon of Nashville, Tenn., Gary and Cleta Edgmon of Charleston, and John and Janice Edgmon of Greenwood; two sisters, Genell Faires of Charleston and Virginia Jeffcoat of Central City; two brothers, Gerald “Cotton” Ramsey and Herman Ramsey, both of Charleston; nine grandchildren, Anthony and Lea Edgmon, Scott and Lisa Edgmon Benton, Jerry and Johnna Newby, Jeff and Angie Edgmon, Shannon and Nita Courtney, Tim and Sarah Hillier, Benjamin Edgmon, Craig Edgmon and Mary Stark; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Newby, Craig Edgmon, Ben Edgmon, Scott Benton, Timmy Hillier, Jeff Edgmon, Shannon Courtney and MacKenzie Newby. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Edgmon, Red Armstrong, Bill Bagwell, Virgil Faires, Warner Amos, Charley Marriott and “Hutch” Hutchins.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Charleston Senior Citizens Center or the Building Fund of First Free Will Baptist Church in Charleston.

Gordon Parker
Gordon Parker, 87, of Paris died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, in Fort Smith of natural causes. He was retired from Cloyes Gear Plant, a member and deacon of the Church of Christ in Paris, attended the Senior Citizens Center in Paris and loved to work on his Model T and Model A cars. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Wright Parker; and son, Terry Gordon Parker.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ in Paris with burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
He is survived by two daughters, Paula Gonzalez-Abello of Houston and Sonja Fletcher of Paris; five grandchildren, Joe Ceniceros Jr., Steve Ceniceros, Andy Ceniceros, Christie Fulton and Brian Fletcher; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

Nellie Faye Frances Jackson
Nellie Faye Frances Jackson, 93, of Mountainburg died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, in a local nursing home. She was born in Kennedy on Jan. 30, 1911. She was a charter member of the Mountainburg First Assembly of God and a homemaker. She was a member of the Springdale Home Extension Club and the widow of Charlie France and Lewis Jackson.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004 at First Assembly of God in Mountainburg with burial at Vaught Cemetery in Mountainburg under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
She is survived by a daughter, Doris Sue Lee of Delight; a son, Giles Drew France Sr. of Mountainburg; three stepdaughters, Nadine Hamilton, Gail Brashier and Shirley Gallaway, all of Springdale; four stepsons, Herman Jackson of Whittier, Lester, Bill and Jim Jackson, all of Springdale; a sister, Alice Schader of Greenland; three brothers, Arlis Caselman of Downey, Calif., Arthur Caselman of Farmington, and Bob Caselman of Hemet, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Randall Caselman, Troy Burl Schader, Lanier France, Allen France, Darrell Durbrow, Lavell Durbrow and Roger Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Allen, Randall Reed and deacons of First Assembly of God in Mountainburg.

Joann Harrison
Joann Harrison of Mountainburg went to tend the Lord’s flower gardens on Monday, Dec. 6, 2004. She will be reunited there with her husband, Slim.
Their children who were so blessed to have such wonderful, loving parents are Carolyn, Kathy, Charlie, Connie, Shirley and Louise. They were Granny and Pa Pa to 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sister, Jessie, and three brothers, Joe, Charlie and Frankie.
Her church family at Living Waters Church held a special place in her heart.
Funeral service under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren will be at Living Waters Church in Chester with the Rev. Jim Mehaffey officiating, Wednesday at 10 a.m.
Pallbearers will be her sons-in-law, Jess, Steve, Raymond, Darrell and two of her grandsons, Lloyd Emery and Jon, all of whom she adored.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Living Waters Church or the Hembee Cancer Center at St. Edwards.

Hazel Kennedy
Hazel Ann Kennedy, 50, of Fort Smith died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, in her home. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Women’s Auxiliary.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph; a stepson, Chad Kennedy of Greenwood; three sisters, Barbra, Billy and Dee Dee Conn, all of Paintsville, Ky.; and a brother, Henry Conn of Paintsville, Ky.

R.B. Smith
GREENWOOD — R.B. Smith, 81, of Greenwood, formerly of Sallisaw, died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born Jan. 10, 1923, in Marble City. He retired from the Air Force after 21 years of service.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evans & Miller Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Pocola.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; four daughters, Kathy Johnson of Hackett, Cheryl Riggs, Sandy Barnes and Linda Newbury, all of Sallisaw; two sons, Rick Smith of Pocola and Mike Schaeffer of Munich, Germany; two stepdaughters, Ann Dupriest of Greenwood and Lisa Way of Tulsa; three stepsons, Ricky and Randy Eubanks, both of Tulsa, and Michael Eubanks of Mineral Wells, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
