Blytheville -- Richard 'Ricky' Matthews, 41, died Saturday at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at New St. Paul Baptist Church with burial in Whiteside Gardens in Osceola. McDonald-Horne Funeral Home has charge. He was a graduate of Blytheville High School. Mr. Matthews, the husband of Rochelle Matthews, also leaves his mother, Bobbie J. Wells of Blytheville; three sisters, Jacqueline Matthews of Little Rock, Sherry Riley of Decatur, Ga., and Marilyn Trible of Blytheville; a brother, Johnny Matthews of Blytheville, and his grandmother, Marie Matthews of Clarksdale, Miss.

Blytheville -- Robert B. Pulliam, 74, retired from Stiffel Lamp Manufacturing Co. in Chicago, died March 4 at Heritage Square Nursing Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Blytheville First Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Gethsemane Gardens. McDonald-Horne Funeral Home has charge. Mr. Pulliam, the husband of Lillian Pulliam, also leaves two daughters, Blanche Pulliam of Fort Worth, Texas, and Janice Belk of Chicago, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

West Memphis -- Ambera Stacy Earvin, 28, teacher, died March 3 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Ark. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at 15th Street Church of God in Christ with burial in Paradise Garden in Edmondson. Anthony Funeral Home has charge. She leaves a daughter, Adrianna Hardy, and her mother, Annie P. Earvin, both of West Memphis; six sisters, Linda Wrotten, Annette Boulton, Ava Earvin and Amy Earvin, all of West Memphis, and Angela Earvin and Anita Earvin, both of Memphis; a brother, Anson Earvin of Fayetteville, and her grandparents, Callie P. Wade and Iona Earvin, both of West Memphis.

West Memphis -- Orpha Kinney, 79, homemaker, died Wednesday at Crittenden Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis with burial in Manila Cemetery. Mrs. Kinney, the wife of Johnie Kinney, also leaves four sons, Johnie Ray Kinney Jr., David Wayne Kinney and Michael Edward Kinney, all of West Memphis, and Rickey Eugene Kinney of Marion; four sisters; five brothers, 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Harvey Ray Darby, 58, of Bono, Ark., auto body repairman and owner of Darby's Body Shop, died Wednesday in Bono. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Ark., with burial in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. He was a member of Keiser Chapel Church. Mr. Darby, the husband of Shirley Darby, also leaves local survivors including a daughter, Cynthia Lynn Johnson of Southaven, and five grandchildren.

Julia Mary Johnson, 93, of Hughes, Ark., died Sunday at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis. Services will be at noon Saturday at New Bethel Church of God in Christ in Hughes with burial in Paradise Garden in Edmondson, Ark. Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home in West Memphis has charge. She leaves local survivors including two daughters, Sammie Lee Walls of Memphis and Ethel Jones of Blytheville, Ark., 44 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

West Memphis -- Mavis Rose, 84, of Caldwell, formerly of West Memphis, homemaker, died Friday at Cross Ridge Community Hospital in Wynne. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City. She was a member of the Church of God. Mrs. Rose, the widow of V.B. Rose Jr., leaves a daughter, Linda Poindexter of Caldwell; a son, V.B. Rose of Forrest City; a brother, Johnny Hobbs of Lafayette, Ga., two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

West Memphis -- James Darel Wallin, 74, died Friday at Broadway Health Care Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Murphy Funeral Home in Marked Tree, Ark., with burial in Marked Tree Cemetery. He was a Korean War veteran, a Baptist and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Mr. Wallin, the husband of Jerrie Wallin, also leaves a stepdaughter, Deanna Wilson of West Memphis; a stepson, Terry Wilford of Bartlett, Tenn.; three brothers, Bill Wallin of West Memphis, Jerry Wallin of Collierville, Tenn., and Harold Wallin of Bogart, Ga., and three grandchildren.

Blytheville -- Gene Strickland, 82, retired body shop manager for Littrell-Ozier Ford, died Friday at Great River Medical Center. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, where he was former chairman of the board and Sunday school superintendent, and an assistant at Blytheville Senior Citizens Center. Mr. Strickland, the widower of Betty Sue King Strickland, leaves a son, Tommy Strickland of Collierville, Tenn.; a sister, Sarah Agent of Jonesboro; a brother, Jerry Strickland of Houston, Texas, and four grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Aldersgate United Methodist Church or Mississippi County Senior Citizens Center.

Mr. Clark, the husband of Lona Gaye Elliott Clark, also leaves two sons, Jason Clark and Nathan Clark, both of Blytheville; five sisters, Clara Mae Hollenback of Eupora, Miss., Hattie Riser of Shreveport, La., Betty Skelton of Blytheville, Sue Ditto of Savannah, Tenn., and Mary Jane Beltrain of Gosnell, and four brothers, James Clark of Hermondale, Mo., Earnest Clark of Manila, C.W. Clark of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Tommy Clark of Leachville.

He was an Army Reserve veteran and a member of Buffalo Chapel Church in Caraway and Blytheville Police Reserve, where he was a former chief. Mr. Toombs, the husband of Joan Waugh Toombs, also leaves a daughter, Wayna Ann Jones of Manila and Latonya Wyatt of Blytheville; a son, Ricky Toombs of Colorado Springs; two sisters, Joann Riley of Caraway and Phyllis Clay of Trumann; a brother, Randy Toombs of Jonesboro, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
