STACIE PHILLIPS

Stacie Marie Phillips, 32, of Texarkana, Ark., died Sunday, April 25, 2004, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Phillips was born April 28, 1971, in Texarkana, Texas. She was employed with Dr. Milburn Haynes and a member of Mandeville Baptist Church.

Survivors include four children, Daylen Purtell, Callie Purtell, Karlee Carmony and Kristopher Carmony of Texarkana; her parents, Christopher and Gail Phillips of Buckner, Ark.; three brothers, Randy Phillips, Adam Phillips and B.J. Phillips of Hooks, Texas; her grandparents, Mary Whitaker and Truett Aaron of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Texarkana Funeral Home Fuqua - Everett Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Allen Peebles officiating. Burial will be in Rondo Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

The family will be at the home of Adam Phillips, 3505 Central, Texarkana, Ark.

MIKE PETTY

Mickel Paul Petty, 53, of Texarkana, Ark., died Sunday, April 25, 2004, in Garland, Texas.

Mr. Petty was born Oct. 16, 1950, in Dallas. He was employed with Charlie Glover Ditching Co.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Margie and Harold Nelson of Texarkana; three sisters and brothers - in - law, Sarah and Ricky Durrett of Texarkana, Jackie and Frank Brewer of Log Cabin, Texas, and Darlene and Tommy Durbin of Garland; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Brazile officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.

MARY STEVENS

DE QUEEN, Ark. - Mary Frances Stevens, 76, of Horatio, Ark., died Monday, April 26, 2004, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Stevens was born Aug. 29, 1927. She was a homemaker, retired nurses aid, former employee of Pilgrim's Pride and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Harvey Stevens.

Survivors include one son, Freddie Stevens of Horatio; six daughters, Anna McArthur of Jay, Okla., Virginia Collins of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Elizabeth Rowlett of Dierks, Ark., Fredia Lofland of Horatio, Bonnie Lee of Eagletown and Brenda Whiteman of Haworth, Okla.; one adopted son, Jeremy Stevens of Horatio; two brothers, Tommy Ross of De Queen and James Ross of Centrailia, Wash.; four sisters, Bessie Sexton of Chino Valley, Ariz., Lillie Bell Livingston of Garland, Texas, Elsie Mandujano of De Queen and Minnie Ross of Cove, Ark.; 31 grandchildren; 34 great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Glen Launius and J.L. Walker officiating. Burial will be in Horatio Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

The family will be at the home of Freddie and Alice Stevens, 403 Lawson Lane, Horatio, and Fredia and Darren Lofland, 1401 Hwy. 41 S., Horatio.

LARRY MORREN

FORT SMITH, Ark. - Larry Paul Morren, 66, of Fort Smith, died Sunday, April 25, 2004, in Fort Smith.

Mr. Morren was retired from Gerber Products and Arkansas Air National Guard, member of Goddard United Methodist Church and a Desert Storm Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Morren of Fort Smith; two daughters, Melanie Dunn of Royse City, Texas, and Aurelie Morren of Wickes, Ark.; two stepdaughters, Diane Hickman of Columbus, Miss., and Debra Crow of Texarkana; two sons, Lowell Morren of Allen, Texas, and Timothy Morren of Fayetteville, Ark.; one stepson, Derek Phillips of Little Rock; his mother, Agatha Morren of Galesburg, Mich.; one sister, Marilyn Forsten of Adelaide, Australia; four brothers, Willis Morren Jr. of Mattawan, Mich., James Morren of Galesburg, Mich., Robert Morren of Frostproof, Fla., and Ronald Morren of Waxahachie, Texas; eight grandchildren; two great - grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Goddard United Methodist Church, Fort Smith. Burial in U.S. National Cemetery with military rites under direction of Fentress Mortuary.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

MINNIE WHITE

STAMPS, Ark. - Minnie White, 67, of Texarkana, Ark., died Thursday, June 17, 2004, at her home.

Ms. White was born March 11, 1937, in Buckner, Ark. She was preceded in death by two sons, Andrew Mask and Wilbert Smith.

Survivors include four daughters, Cora Rone Beasley of Texarkana, Lila Mack of Newport, Ark., and Donna Mack and Crystal Gipson of Augusta, Ga.; three sons, Bennie Smith of Washington, N.C., Rickey White of Grady, Ark., and Ollie White of Texarkana; three sisters, Bessie Williams of Buckner, Joann Smeater of Houston and Flora Britten of Hot Springs, Ark.; and four brothers, Arthur Bradley of Houston, Alonzo Bradley of Stamps, Hervey Bradley of Magnolia, Ark., and Elder Felix Ray Sanders of Modesto, Calif.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. C.K. Yarber officiating. Burial will be in Buckner Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Lonoke Baptist Church, Texarkana.

AMANDA KENNEDY

NASHVILLE, Ark. - Amanda Marie "Mandi" Kennedy, 21, of Little Rock died Wednesday, June 23, 2004.

Miss Kennedy was born Sept. 23, 1982, in Little Rock. She was a Catholic.

Survivors include her parents, June Nutt Haney and Sherman Kennedy of Texarkana; one brother, Lance Church of Dover, Del; her grandfather, James Dorcie Nutt of Texarkana; two aunts, Debbie Nutt of Texarkana and Jean Adkins of Bristol, Tenn.; and a number of other relatives.

Memorials services will be 2 p.m. today at St. Edward Catholic Church, Texarkana. Arrangements are under direction of Latimer Funeral Home.

ELIZABETH GREER

Elizabeth Greer, 70, of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, in Texarkana.

Mrs. Greer was born June 25, 1933, in Texarkana, Ark. She was a homemaker and a domestic worker.

Survivors include her husband, William Greer of Texarkana; one stepson, Eric Greer; five brothers, O.D. Martin of San Diego, Anderson Martin of Bakersfield, Calif., and Freddie Martin, Charles Martin and James Martin of Texarkana; three sisters, Luevenia Linton of Long Beach, Calif., Odell Johnson of Bakersfield and Ruby Wilkerson of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at New Zion Baptist Church, Trigg community, with the Rev. Bob Thomas officiating. Burial will be in New Zion Cemetery under direction of Lyles Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

JAMES MARTIN

James B. Martin, 83, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, March 8, 2004, in a local hospital.

Col. Martin was born Dec. 30, 1920, in Delight, Ark. He formerly served at the Pentagon and with NATO in Europe and was a cattle rancher, a member of Texarkana Regional Airport Board, former president of Red River Cattleman's Association and Noon Kiwanis of Texarkana and an Air Force veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Martin of Texarkana; one son and daughter - in - law, Brad and Becki Byrd of Greenwood, Ark.; two granddaughters and one grandson - in - law, Jana and Brad Bolding of Lowell, Ark., and Paige Byrd of Fayetteville, Ark.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at East Funeral Home, Downtown, Memorial Chapel with Drs. Tandy Hanson and Herbert Wren officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Sugar Hill United Methodist Church Building Fund or Miller County Hospice.

BLANCH HALE

NASHVILLE, Ark. - Blanch Margaret Hale, 91, of Nashville died Monday, March 8, 2004, in a local hospital.

Miss Hale was born Nov. 22, 1922, in Nashville. She was a member of Sunset Church of Christ.

Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today in Mount Pleasant Cemetery with Ray Nation officiating. Burial will be under direction of Nashville Funeral Home.

SHIRLEY PETTY

MURFREESBORO, Ark. - Shirley Faye Petty, 57, of Delight, Ark., died Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at her home.

Mrs. Petty was born March 1, 1947, in Bowen, Ark. She was an employee of Diamond State Bank and a member of Delight United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, James E. Petty of Bowen; one daughter, Kimberley L. Doss of Delight; her mother, Faydra L. Whitten of Bowen; one brother, Thomas A. Whitten of Bowen; two sisters, Peggy Belt of Longview, Texas, and Syble Harris of Delight; three grandchildren, Sierra Petty, J.C. Doss and Sidney Doss; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel with Freeman Henderson and Randy Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Bowen Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Delight United Methodist Church.

EREL HARRIS

ASHDOWN, Ark. - Erel Harris, 63, of Ashdown died Monday, March 8, 2004, in a local hospital.

Arrangements are pending with Hamburg Funeral Home.
