Ernestine Gibson Wilkey
JONESBORO -- Ernestine Gibson Wilkey, 79, of Jonesboro, died Saturday morning, Aug. 19, at her home.
She had lived in the Jonesboro area all of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben A. Gibson and Nancy Elizabeth Pierce; her husband, Millard Forrest "Tuff" Wilkey; two sons, Elvis Lee Wilkey and Jimmy Dewayne "Big Red" Wilkey.
She is survived and forever loved by her daughters, Patricia Chesser of Paragould, Melinda Hinchcliff of Jonesboro, Reba Jones of Conway, and Debbie Wilkey and Vikkie Wilkey Greenway, both of Jonesboro; sons, Ernie Wilkey and Robert Wilkey, both of Jonesboro, Bobby Wilkey of Conway, Ricky Wilkey of Jonesboro and Lodus Wilkey of Paragould; brother, Don Black of Jonesboro; sisters, Ida Mae Morgan of Jonesboro and Pat Locklear of Georgia; 12 grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. today in Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church with Danny Jackson officiating.
Burial will follow in Redd Cemetery, near Cash.
Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon today.

Donald Lewis Williams
RECTOR -- Donald Lewis Williams, 88, of Rector, died Sunday, Aug. 20, in Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.
Born July 27, 1918, in Rector, he was a retired carpenter and a member of First Baptist Church in Rector.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Louise Textor Williams; his parents, Mannie and Ruth Williams; one brother, James Williams; and two sisters, Juanita Hicks and Martha Chambers.
Survivors include four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ellen and J. R. Edwards and Viola and Thelbert Stephens, all of Paragould, Flora Merchant of Tomah, Wisconsin, and Delorice Stewart of De Bary, Florida; three sisters-in-law, Roberta Textor, Violet Rust, and Betty Textor; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, in the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Ardell Polk and Kim Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Smith, Paul Smith, Bobby Hicks, Leslie Ruth and Thad Mangrum.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould.
Sydnee Ann Allred
JONESBORO -- Sydnee Ann Allred, 13-month-old daughter of Christopher and Penni Allred, died Tuesday morning in her home.
She was born at Southaven, Miss., and had lived in Jonesboro her entire life.
In addition to her parents, Sydnee is survived by three sisters, Breeze, Lacee Lee, and Brynna Allred, all of Jonesboro. She leaves her grandparents, Ron and Sharon Allred, Jonesboro; Virgil and Barbara Baker, Byhalia, Miss.; Mary Lee, Jonesboro; her great-grandparents, Marjorie White, Virginia Shortnacy and Luther Shortnacy; and her great-great-grandmother, Nellie Smith.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Garland Loveless officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Nettleton Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers will be Roy Allred Jr., Anthony Allred, Blake Holt and Matt Lee.
Olive Janette Beadles
WINNSBORO, Texas -- Olive Janette Beadles, 92, of Winnsboro, Texas, formerly of Paragould, died Wednesday.
Mrs. Beadles was born at Govilin, Wales, United Kingdom. A resident of Paragould for 40 years, she was Dr. O.E. Bradsher's nurse.
She is survived by her stepdaughter Doris Miller and husband, Gene; their family and various nephews and nieces.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The procession will leave at 10:45 a.m. Saturday.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday in Mitchell Funeral Home at Paragould.
WYNNE -- Lottye Burnett of Wynne passed away Wednesday.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Kernodle Funeral Home at Wynne. Burial will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday in Kernodle Funeral Home.
Mrs. Burnett is survived by her son, David Lee Jones of Marion; stepson, Norton Burnett of Antioch, Tenn.; daughters, Geneva Preston of Texas, Camilla Boehmer of Kentucky, Glenda Rook of Memphis and Anita Griffin of Marion; 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Donald R. Cox Sr.
JONESBORO -- Donald R. Cox Sr., 71, of Jonesboro died Thursday, Aug. 31, in NEA Medical Center.
He was born at Bono and lived in California from 1962 to 1992. After his retirement he moved back to Jonesboro. He was a cinematographer in the motion picture industry where he did special effects for numerous movies and television shows. He was a member of the IATSE International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and a lifetime member of International Photographers Local #600 in Hollywood, Calif.
Survivors include two sons, Roy Mitchell Cox and wife, Michelle, of Apple Valley, Calif., and Donald R. Cox Jr. and wife, Brenda, of Jonesboro; one brother, Dean Cox of Little Rock; one sister, Donna Jean Stewart of Beebe; two grandchildren, Donald R. Cox III of Jonesboro and Kourtney Lynne Cox of Apple Valley, Calif., and five great-grandchildren, Madison, Kirsten, Chandler, Ashton and Jaxson Timms, all of Jonesboro.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Roller-Farmers Union Chapel with Chris Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers include David Petterson, Don Cox III, James Tucker, Cameron Henderson, George Pierce and Ryan Timms.

Opal Brown Haynes
JONESBORO -- Opal Brown Haynes, 93, died Wednesday.
She was a former resident of Pocahontas and member of the First Baptist Church.
Her husband, Carl Haynes preceded her in death.
She is survived by three daughters, Marilyn Mann of Jacksonville, Ill., Carilyn Smith of Easley, S.C., and Barbara Gschwend of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. today in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home at Pocahontas with Chuck Gschwend officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery.
Visitation is from 9-10 a.m. in the funeral home.
Andrew Walter Hogan
HARDY -- Andrew Walter Hogan, 82, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006.
Survivors include his wife, Willa Mae Garner Hogan of Hardy; son and daughter-in-law, Walter L. and Sherry Hogan of Gainesville, Va.; brother, Paul Hogan of Wynne; two grandchildren, Brian Hogan of Bristow, W.Va., and Shannon Hogan of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland with burial in Highland Cemetery. Gene Garner, Steve Garner and Shannon Hogan will officiate.

Mattie Lucille Maynard
JONESBORO -- Mattie Lucille Maynard, 94, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, Aug. 30, in Skill Care Nursing Center.
She was born at Ashport, Tenn., lived in Marked Tree before moving to the Jonesboro area. She was a member of the Church Of God.
Survivors include two sons, Auther Lee Maynard of Modesto, Calif., and Ray Maynard of Jonesboro; one daughter, Louise Turner of Jonesboro; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Maynard; two sons, James and Floyd Maynard; and one daughter, Brenda Brewer.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Roller-Farmers Union Chapel with the Rev. Jim Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Mike Simpkins, Scotty Maynard, Bob Simpkins, Rick Maynard, Blake Simpkins and Ed Turner.
Honorary bearers will be David Maynard and Lyn Smith.
