Edna Inez Drope Hudson
JONESBORO -- Edna Inez Drope Hudson, 90, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, Oct. 21, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock.
Born in the Cole Corner community west of Jonesboro, she lived in Craighead County her entire life. She was a charter member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, and a nurse at St. Bernards Hospital and Skilcare Nursing Home.
She is survived by one son, Dr. Don Hudson and wife Karen of Jonesboro; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Hudson Miles of Nagoya, Japan; four grandchildren, Kimberly Freeman and Kelly Scott of Burton, Mich., Courtney Hudson of Minneapolis and Baker Hudson of Fort Worth, Texas; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, the Rev. Gerald Drope of Jonesboro.
Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Hudson; one son, Major Homer Eugene Hudson; her parents, Jess and Annie Drope; and three sisters.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery
officiated by her brother, Gerald Drope.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.

Lucille Linebaugh Lee
WALNUT RIDGE -- Lucille Linebaugh Lee, 84, died Saturday, Oct. 21, in Walnut Ridge.
A homemaker and a 32-year employee of Lawrence Manufacturing, she was a former resident of Imboden and was a member of the First Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Walter Sellers; a son, David Sellers; three brothers; and a granddaughter, Michelle Sellers.
She is survived by a son, Danny Sellers of Walnut Ridge; four sisters, Eula Mae Taylor of Colorado, Lola Kaiser of Nevada, Francis Emmons of Michigan and Doris Walton of Hoxie; a grandson; and a great-grandson.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hope Cemetery
at Imboden with Michael Abel and Billy Gene Dickerson officiating.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at House-Gregg Funeral Home at Walnut Ridge.
Pallbearers are Tim Burnett and Gale, Larry, Wayne, Kelly and Eddie Linebaugh.
JONESBORO -- Jean Merriman of Jonesboro died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.

Mindy Kay Wolfenbarger
RECTOR -- Mindy Wolfenbarger of Rector, formerly of Marmaduke, passed from this life on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, at the age of 25.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Heather Bennett.
Mindy is survived by her husband, Steven Wolfenbarger; her infant daughter, Jayden Heather Wolfenbarger of Rector; her parents, Gene and Brenda Bennett of Marmaduke; one brother, Bryan Bennett of Paragould; three sisters, Kimberly Long of Nashville, Tenn., Lori James of Searcy and Tammy Bennett of Marmaduke; her grandparents, Floyd and Mary Bennett of Marmaduke; along with a host of relatives and friends.
Mindy's funeral will be Tuesday, Oct. 24, at noon in First Baptist Church at Marmaduke with Bro. Kim Bridges and Bro. Marston Carpenter officiating.
Visitation will be from 6-9 tonight at the church.

JONESBORO -- Mr. J.C. Sutton, 81, of Jonesboro died Saturday, Oct. 28, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Phillip Roosevelt McCullom Baker, 58, died Nov. 3, 2006.
Survivors include his wife, Jonette Moore Baker; daughters, Mary Michelle McCullom, Vera McCullom and Camille Baker Reed; son, Corey Baker; sisters, Teresa McCullom Flie and Elizabeth McCullom; and brothers, Lee R. McCullom and L. C. McCullom.
Services will be at noon Friday in Bethlehem Methodist Baptist Church at Osceola with the Rev. W.L. Harris officiating and burial in Whiteside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-noon Friday in the church.

WALNUT RIDGE -- Pinky Blevins, 89, died Tuesday in Walnut Ridge.
She was a homemaker and member of Rockhill Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Blevins; a son; and two granddaughters.
Survivors include her grandchildren, William Gartell and Evert Gartell of Fort Smith, Bill Blevins and Sam Blevins of Lynn, Ludie Tapp of Powhatan and Carolyn Fowler of Hoxie; 25 great-grandchildren; and 41 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Powhatan Cemetery

Leroy Davis Brawner
PIGGOTT -- Leroy Davis Brawner, 63, of Piggott passed away Monday, Nov. 6, 2006.
He was the son of the late Leon and Rose Davis Brawner.
He was united in marriage to Joyce Cate Crossfield on June 11, 1994.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce of Piggott; children, Karen Sharp, Donnie Brawner and Jason Brawner; stepdaughter, Valerie Walker; four grandchildren; sister, Charlotte Leona James; and brother, John Brawner.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in New Hope Baptist Church. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott is in charge of arrangements. Visitation is at 6 p.m. today.

JONESBORO -- Reba Jean Carter, 47, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006 in St. Bernards Medical Center.

Mable Atlanta Deaton
TYRONZA -- Mable Atlanta Deaton, 86, died Nov. 8, 2006 in St. Bernards Medical Center at Jonesboro.
Mrs. Deaton was a retired school teacher with the Winston-Salem Schools. She graduated from Arkansas State University and received a masters degree in religion from Duke University.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Edison Deaton; sisters, Sarah Chandler and Marie Nance; and brothers, Rye Nance and Walter Nance.
Survivors include three nieces, Jane Terry and Judy Duck of Tyronza, and Cheryl Nance of Memphis; and four nephews, Robert Nance of Jonesboro, Ronnie Nance of Sanford, Fla., Wallace Chandler of West Memphis and Lindsay Chandler of Tyronza.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Highland United Methodist Cemetery
at High Falls, N.C.

Paul Lewis Dent Sr.
JONESBORO -- Paul Lewis "Hoot" Dent Sr., 72, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Nov. 7, at St. Bernards Medical Center after a long illness.
He was residing in Jonesboro Healthcare. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He lived in the Bono and Jonesboro areas most of his life.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Oakridge Baptist Church Cemetery
at Bono, with the Rev. Marty Hopkins officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:30-11 a.m. Friday at the graveside.
Mr. Dent is survived by two daughters, Susan and Joann; four sons, Paul Lewis Jr., Ricky Dewayne, Gary Lynn, and Larry Don; two sisters, Mary Nell and husband Elmo Mayhan, Nancy and husband Danny Flemon, all of Jonesboro; a brother, Don Dent and wife Susie, of Saltillo, Miss.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Biggs Dent; his mother, Ruby Dent-Goodon; and a brother, Scotty Goodon.
LITTLE ROCK -- Faith Cude Walker Hooper, 85, of Little Rock peacefully passed from this life on Nov. 7, 2006 in Parkview Health and Rehab Center at Little Rock.
A native of Imboden, she is preceded in death by her parents, Burrel and Susan Park Cude, her husband, William Hooper, and sisters, Hope Cude Johnston and Iona Lou.
She was a retired teacher.
Survivors include one son, Gerald K. Walker of Pocahontas; one daughter, Jerry Faith Neumeyer of Little Rock; one sister, Anna Merle Walker of Jonesboro; one brother, Burrel Cude of Imboden; three grandchildren, Cassondra Neumeyer Jurasits, Debbie Walker Waggoner and Aaron Walker; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Old Union Cemetery
near Imboden with Keith Waggoner officiating and Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.
There will be no visitation.
