Elsie Y. Rosse
TRUMANN -- Elsie Y. Rosse, 68, of Trumann died Thursday, March 1, 2007, at her home.
She had lived in Trumann since 1981, moving here from Rockford, Ill. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Trumann.
She is survived by her husband, O.E. Rosse of the home; son, Edward Frank Rosse of Trumann; one sister, Joyce Rogers and her husband Glendale of Conway.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2007, in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Bobby Brooks officiating and burial to follow in Bassett Cemetery
with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers are Sammy Rosse, William Cobb, Farrell Thomas, Keith Mincy, Lee Lafarlette, and Michael Moody. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Lafarlette, Glendale Rogers and Sam Rosse.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Monday at Emerson.
Bobbie Lois Senteney
ALICIA -- Bobbie Lois Senteney, 78, of Alicia, formerly of Weiner, died Friday evening, March 2, in St. Bernards Medical Center at Jonesboro.
Mrs. Senteney owned Garden Wonderland Nursery in Weiner for 20 years and was a member of Weiner First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy "Bud" Senteney, in 1975.
She is survived by one son, Mark Senteney and wife Pam of Alicia; one daughter, Jane Senteney Doty and husband Paul of Walnut Ridge; two grandchildren, Emily Richey and John Paul Doty; and one great-granddaughter, Emma Richey.
Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, 2 p.m., in Oak Grove Cemetery
at Weiner with the Rev. Tommy Toombs officiating. Visitation will follow.
The family requests that memorials be sent to the Weiner Fire Department or the Weiner Cemetery

Aaron 'A.C.' Sharp
NEWPORT -- Aaron "A.C." Sharp, 83 of Newport died Friday, March 2.
A retired truck driver, he was preceded in death by his parents, Presley and Thelma Sharp.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Sharp; sons, Charles Sharp of Texas and Bill Sharp of California; stepdaughters, Angela McKissac of Newport and Rhonda Long of Georgia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Dillinger Chapel with burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Gerald Wayne Skaggs
LEACHVILLE -- Gerald Wayne Skaggs, 45, of Leachville died Friday, March 2, at Great River Medical Center at Monette.
He was a lifelong area resident and attended Leachville High School. He was a carpenter and member of New Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Grover and Imogene Long Skaggs of Leachville; brother, Doyle Skaggs of Blytheville; three sisters, Linda Harper of Los Fresnos, Texas, Brenda Collins of Edgewater, Fla., and Patricia Burgess of Jonesboro.
Mr. Skaggs was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Dewayne Skaggs.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Howard Funeral Service Chapel at Leachville with the Rev. Danny Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors Monday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
RECTOR -- Funeral services for 92-year-old Reba Smith of Rector, who passed away on March 2 in Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, will be today at 3:30 p.m. in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel with Marston Carpenter officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, three sisters and a daughter.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Sue Smith of Rector; a daughter, Mary Ella Smith of the home; two brothers, R.W. Williams and Wheeler Williams; two grandchildren, Tammy Keller and Neal Smith; and five great-grandchildren, Kristen, Karis, Brian, Kyle and Klay.
Guy T. Spears
LEPANTO -- Guy T. Spears, 83, of Lepanto died Friday, March 2, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He was a member of the Lepanto Church of Christ, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Eunice Spears; two stepchildren, Diane Vickers and Dale Mason, all of Lepanto; two sisters, Kaythern Capps of Marked Tree, Naomi Samson of Oklahoma City; one stepgranddaughter, Denise Mcee; and one stepgrandson, Jacob Bradley Vickers.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 9-11 a.m. in Murphy Funeral Home Chapel at Lepanto. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Gary Masters officiating.
Burial will be in Potter Memorial Cemetery
Thomas Charles Steele
CHEROKEE VILLAGE -- Thomas Charles Steele, 56, of Cherokee Village died Friday, March 2, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Steele; one son, Toby Welch of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughters, Alissa and Ashley Steele, both of Richardson, Texas, Tanya Welch of Las Vegas and Bailey Welch of Little Rock; and one sister, Margaret Kennedy of Sumner, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claire and Jane (Peters) Steele; and one brother, Bruce Steele.
A private memorial service will be held for family and close friends after cremation.
Arrangements are by Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
PARAGOULD -- Shari Jean Dacus Whitby, 45, died Friday, March 2, at her home in Paragould.
She was born July 6, 1961, in Muskegon, Mich., the daughter of John and Lorene Sullivan Dacus. Shari was a longtime employee of Unico Bank and a member of West View Baptist Church.
She was survived by her husband, Mike E. Whitby; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Carissa Whitby; daughter, Chelsie Whitby; parents, John and Lorene Dacus; brother, Rick Dacus; and her mother-in-law, Lola Potter, all of Paragould.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Diane Dacus; uncle, J.L. Sullivan; maternal grandparents, Madison and Nora Sullivan; and her paternal grandparents, Johnnie and Bertha Dacus of Stanford.
Her family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight at Heath Funeral Home.
Shari's life will be celebrated Monday, March 5, 11 a.m. at West View Baptist Church with the Rev. Marc Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens.
Charles Martin, Mike Rowland, Bob Huckabay, Keith Cooper, Jody Huckabee and Ron Stevens are pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to West View Baptist Church Youth.
She will be remembered by her many family and friends.
PIGGOTT -- Arthanel Brandon, 87, of Piggott passed away Saturday, March 10, at his home in Piggott.
He is survived by his wife, Lola Brandon of Piggott; one daughter, Carolyn Morrisett; two sons, Bill Brandon and Gerald Brandon; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; five brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Bill Newman and Donald Foster officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery
at St. Francis.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. today.

James 'Pat' Brown
CASH -- James Patrick "Pat" Brown, 92, of Cash died Saturday morning, March 10, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Born near Manila, Pat lived most of his life in Craighead County. He was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion.
Pat was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Vera A. Brown; two sons and their wives, Jerry and Angie Brown of Walnut Ridge, and Cary and Teresa Brown of Cash; one daughter and her husband, Patsy and Dan Oswald of Jonesboro; 10 grandchildren, Cynthia Kelley, Stacey Brown, Catherine Brown, Shawn Newman, Stephanie Spath, Jamie Brown, Shana Brown, Aaron Ruth, Shawn Oswald and Joyce Kelly; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Kenneth Camp officiating. Burial will follow in Unity Cemetery.
Active pallbearers include Junior Pierce, Michael Brown, Jim Brown, John Brown, Phillip Brown and Curtis Spath.
Honorary pallbearers include his grandchildren, Keith Boyd, Lynn Dorton, Jerome Boyd and Jerry Waddill.
