Frances Robinson Cox
WALNUT RIDGE — Frances Robinson Cox, 90, died Saturday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She lived in California, Eureka Springs and Nashville, Tenn., prior to moving back to Walnut Ridge in 2003. She was a homemaker, mother and of the Baptist belief.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hobert and Dollie Belle Robinson Keathley; and a brother, Nelson Keathley.
She is survived by her husband, Archie Cox Sr. of the home; son, Archie Cox Jr. of Austin, Texas; sisters, Peggy Olive of Lavern, Tenn., Gertrude Greene, Betty Potts, Sarah Lackey and Emma Rutledge, all of Nashville, and Sue Pewitt of Bon-Aqua, Tenn.; brother, Billy Keathley of Centerville, Tenn.; and special nieces, Chris Purcell of Nashville and Donna Joe Edmonson of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in House-Gregg Funeral Home Chapel at Walnut Ridge with Wade Drury officiating. Burial will follow in Austin Cemetery
at Old Walnut Ridge.
Visitation will be this evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
Essie Emily Harris
JONESBORO — Essie Emily Harris, 79, died Sunday, June 8, 2008, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
She was born July 25, 1928, in Jonesboro to the late H.R. and Essie Cook. Mrs. Harris was a bookkeeper with Dena Construction Co. and member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion and the 875th Port Battalion and a canasta club called Couples Club. She loved to cook and bake.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Scott Edward Harris of the home; a son and his wife, Charles F. and Pat Harris of Brookland; three grandchildren, Carson Harris, Lauren Vickers and Amanda Boling and husband, R.J., all of Brookland; four sisters, Ellen Brewer and Betty Jean Gwyn, both of Jonesboro; Dena Campbell and husband, Joe Mack, of Bono, and June LaFleur and husband, Charles, of Sugarland, Texas.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro with the Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are her nephews.
Visitation will be this evening from 5-7 at Gregg Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
The family requests lasting memorials be given to Brookland United Methodist Church.
James E. Henson
BLYTHEVILLE — James E. Henson, 82, of Blytheville died Sunday in Little Rock.
He leaves his wife, Nell Henson and daughter, Janice Littrell (Steve), all of Blytheville; sons, Paul Henson of Jacksonville and Douglas Henson (Vicki) of Little Rock; brother Lyman Henson of Blytheville; sisters, Maxine Adkisson and Opal Adkisson, both of Blytheville; grandchildren, Jennifer Hopper (Wesley) of Blytheville and Lauren Henson of Little Rock; and one great-grandson, Robert Wesley Hopper.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in North 10th Street Baptist Church at Blytheville with visitation from 6-8 this evening in Cobb Funeral Home at Blytheville.

Don Taylor Scott
JONESBORO — Don Taylor Scott, 72, of Jonesboro died Monday at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro.
He was born in Holdenville, Okla., into the family of John and Minnie Scott. Mr. Scott was a construction superintendent and member of Big Creek Valley Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Donald D. Scott of Tulsa, Okla., and Johnny Scott of Sanger, Texas; two daughters, Terri Goyette of Latham, N.Y., and Carolyn Scott Strickland of Bonham, Texas; mother of his children, Martha Jane Stokes of Jonesboro; six grandsons; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Lavon Scott of Poteau, Okla.; one sister, Nan Irwin of Shawnee, Okla.; and a close friend, Donna Webster of Cash.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Minnie Scott; three sisters, Jan Garner, Midge Thompson and Ginger Williams; and one brother, Bob Scott.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in Unity Cemetery
with Jerry Jolly officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.

BATESVILLE — Jeffie Thompson, 80, of Batesville died Monday, June 9.
She was born Jan. 5, 1928, to the late Luther W. and Cora Wolford. Her husband, Tennes Thompson, a brother and sister also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Marty Thompson of Southside; brothers, Willie Wolford of Bethalto, Ill., J.P. Wolford of Greenbrier and A.J. Wolford of Batesville; sister, Mary Lou Snodgrass of Mims, Fla.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Qualls Batesville Funeral Service with burial in Lewis Cemetery
at Mount Pleasant.

Stella ‘Mack’ Brookhouse

PARAGOULD — Stella Maxine “Mack” Brookhouse, 85, of Paragould died Saturday at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.
Born at Paragould, she was a former employee of Wagner Electric in St. Louis, and Ed White Shoe Factory of Paragould. She was a Methodist.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Exum and husband Truman of Paragould; sister, Jennie Pribble of Prescott, Ariz.; two grandchildren and spouses, Dalana and Chuck Bolster and Heather and Bobby Towery; and five great-grandchildren, Ashton Exum, Cody and Makayla Bolster, Annie Towery and Grant Coffel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Gladys May; husband, Ralph Brookhouse; six brothers, J.D., Huey, Bob, Charles, Junior and Lonnie May; and three sisters, Mick Hogland, Sue Owens and Norma Jean Shewmaker.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Harris offciating. Burial will be in Greene County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
Robert Larry Dukes
MARMADUKE — Robert Larry Dukes, 68, of Marmaduke passed away at his residence on Saturday, June 14, 2008.
Funeral services will be today at 3 p.m. in the Irby Funeral Home chapel at Marmaduke with Gary Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery
Visitation will be today from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. in the chapel.
Dukes is survived by his wife, three daughters and their families, three sons and their families, and many other friends and relatives.

George Kelly Jr.
JONESBORO — The Rev. George Kelly Jr., 90, of Jonesboro died Saturday, June 14, at a local hospital.
A native of Pennsylvania, he lived many years at Rector where he was pastor of Wesleyan Evangelical Methodist Church for 20 years. In addition to Rector, he served as pastor of churches in Pennsylvania and Missouri.
He recently moved to Jonesboro after more than 20 years at Huntsville, Ala., where he was a member of Calvary Bible Church.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Bernice Rhodes Kelly of Jonesboro; sons, Darryl Kelly of Bono and George R. Kelly of Nixa, Mo.; daughters, Connie Seay and Bonnie Beal, both of Jonesboro, and Esther Wagner of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; a brother, Arthur Kelly of New Derry, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, George and Gertrude Kelly; brothers, Merle and Paul, and a sister, Betty.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wesleyan Evangelical Methodist Church at Rector with the Revs. Darryl Kelly, Fred Barker, Doug Farris and Paul Seay officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Heights Cemetery
Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.
Lasting memorials may be made to Wesleyan Evangelical Methodist Church at Rector or a favorite charity.
CABOT — Bobby McLain, 56, formerly of Walnut Ridge, died Saturday, June 14, in an automobile accident near Hopewell in Cleburne County.
Survivors include his wife, Janice George McLain of the home; daughter, Laura Newberry of Paragould; son, Eric McLain of Little Rock; father, Walt McLain of Berryville; mother, Nancy Blackshear of Bald Knob; sisters, Becky Robbins of Cabot and Jan Mullin of Higginson; brother, Malcom McLain of Bald Knob; and one grandchild.
The body was cremated. Arrangements are under the directions of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge. Services will be private.
Darlene Lyons Milon
WYNNE — Darlene Lyons Milon, 54, of Wynne died Thursday, June 12, 2008, at St. Bernards at Jonesboro.
Survivors include husband, Melvin Milon Jr.; sons, Eric Lyons, Atonio and Clifton Milon; sisters, Joyce Lyons, Betty Wren, Patsy Hogue and Sheila Miller; brothers, Fuller Jr., Herbert, Tony, Elliott, Vincient, Ozell and Hosea Lyons and Darwin Pettis; and 16 grandchildren.
Services are at noon Tuesday in Union Valley Missionary Baptist Church at Wynne with the Rev. Roy C. Nelms officiating. Burial will be in Mount Mariah Cemetery.
Visitation is tonight from 6-7 in the Woodard Funeral Service chapel.
