Martha Howard Coleman, age 101, died Jan. 29, 2004.
She is survived by three sons - L.C. Coleman and Leroy Coleman of England and Rufus Coleman of Chicago, Ill.; one daughter, Alberta Nellum of Lonoke; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Feb. 7, at St. John Baptist Church, with intermenty in Sunset Memorial Garden; arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
James R. Ashberry
James Rufus Ashberry, Major, USAF (Retired), age 84, of Cabot, died Feb. 4, 2004.
He is survived by three children, Sharon Ashberry of Nashville, Tenn., James Ashberry of Sherwood, and Tim Ashberry of Sherwood; two grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and one sister, Helen Poplin of Arlington, Texas.
He was a member of the Somers Avenue Church of Christ in North Little Rock.
Funeral was Feb. 7, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment was Feb. 9, at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
Nancy Conrad, 62, of Little Rock died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church and former secretary of the Lady’s Guild.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Watson, of Littleton, Colo.; two sons, Scott Conrad, of North Little Rock, and Andy Conrad, of Little Rock; two grandsons; mother, Ora Lee Jackson, of Lonoke; and brother, Richard Jackson, of Wynne.

Angelia Jane Pfeifer, 53, of North Little Rock died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004.
She was a secretary for Murray Law Firm, a member of Park Hill Christian Church, and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Pfeifer of North Little Rock; one daughter, Aimee June Baker of Cabot; one son, William Charles Pfeifer of North Little Rock; five grandchildren; mother, Rev. Avis Richardson of Staunton, Ill.; one brother, John Richardson of East Alton, Ill.; and one sister, Alisa Hoffman of Staunton, Ill.
Funeral services were held in Staunton, Ill.

Jimmy D. Heffner, 59, of Austin died Feb. 7, 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Irma Heffner; son, Randell Heffner; daughter, Regina McFadden all of Austin; brother, Thomas Heffner; sisters, Billie Johnson; Judy Williams; and three grandchildren.
He was retired from Union Pacific Railroad and was also a retired dairy farmer. He was a member of Masonic Lodge, Ward and Baugh Chapel Baptist Church.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Cabot Funeral Home, intermenty in Apple Hill Cemetery.
Bobby Ray Kimsey
Bobby Ray Kimsey, 52, of Sparkman died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004.
He is survived by his mother and father, Betty and Jimmy Irby of Mayflower; three daughters, Felicia Rice of Beebe, Jennifer Tanner of Cabot, Melissa King of Ward; a sister, Connie Brawley of Mayflower; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were Feb. 9, in the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce. Burial was in New Holly Springs Cemetery, with arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
Charles L. Wilson
Charles Leroy Wilson, 78, of Dardanelle died Feb. 5, 2004.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dardanelle and retired after 30 years as a rice and soybean farmer.
Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Rebecca Jane Phillips Wilson; sons, Charles P. Wilson of Danville and Steven Wilson of Greenbrier; a sister, Louise Pinson of Carlisle; and three grandchildren.
Funeral was Feb. 7 at Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle, with intermenty in Brearley Cemetery.

Freddie Wayne Linder, age 39, of McRae, died Feb. 5, 2004. He is survived by his stepfather, Doc Bevill of Beebe; his stepmother, Rachel Linder of McRae; one daughter, Anggie Linder of McRae; one brother, Martin Linder of McRae; and two sisters, Ida Mae Grady of McRae and Gladys Williams of Austin. Eunice G. Moyers
Eunice Gammill Moyers, age 88, died in her McRae home Tuesday, February 10, 2004, after a battle with cancer.
Her devoted and loving husband, Reverend William “Roy” Moyer; one daughter-in-law, Kathy Gammill, also of McRae; four grandchildren; two step-daughters, Helen Kyle of Cabot and Gayle King of Texarkana; four step-grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, survive her.
She was a member of the McRae United Methodist Church and member of the choir.

P. (Patty) A. Collins
Patricia (Patty) Ann Collins, 63, of Sherwood was born May 21, 1940 and moved into a new home Feb. 15, 2004. She was greeted by the Lord Jesus, her mother, Madia Brown and her dad Henry Brown; grandparents, Dave and Thelma Lentz, Clifford and Looney Brown, and other loved ones who had gone on. Those she left behind to cherish her memory include her husband of 47 years, Ralph Collins, who was her life as she was his. She left 2 sons, Dale Collins and his wife Leah, their sons Canaan and Cambrin and wife Jennifer and son Luke all of Eufaula, OK; son, Jimmy Collins and wife Sharon and their sons, Michael of Sherwood, Brett, Joshua and his wife Jayla and their daughter Katelyn, all of Cabot; sister, Betty Robinson and husband, Don; brother, Vernon Brown and his wife Linda, all of Cabot; and many other loved ones who will miss her, but would not bring her back to the pain and suffering which she suffered for the past 4 months. We praise the Lord for her new home and perfect healthy body today. Ralph would like to especially thank his and Patty’s very special and best friend, daughter-in-law Sharon, who never left her side throughout her long illness, keeping her comfortable and pain-free as possible. Ralph would also like to thank all of his friends and co-workers at Fedex-Freight for all of their kind words and support which meant so much to him.

Byron K. Deese
Byron K. “Jakie” Deese died at the age of 88, Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, in Heber Springs after a brief illness. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Barataria in the South Pacific. He was a long time resident of North Little Rock and Austin.
He is survived by his daughters, Ann Sneed of Quitman, Kathy Munnerlyn of Seagoville, Texas and Carolyn Hurtt of Garland, Texas; his daughter-in-law, Emelie Deese of Mablevale; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.

Syble R. E. Lingo
Syble Rene Edwards Lingo died Feb. 12, 2004.
Survivors include one son, Clay Lingo and a daughter, Pat Ashcraft, both of Lonoke, three granddaughters, three grandsons, two great-granddaughters, a brother, Lee Edwards of Romance and one sister, Narine Jardon of Louisiana.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 17 at Roberson Baptist Church with intermenty in Concord Cemetery, arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Visitation was Monday at the funeral home.
Wyona DeViney, 80, of Lonoke died Wednesday, February 11, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.L. “Red” DeViney, her parents, Roy Frazier and Thelma Hall, and sister, Thelma Hicks.
She is survived by: a son, Ron DeVinney and two daughters, Lecia Stecks and Debbie Bodeker, all of Lonoke, four grandsons, Carl Stecks IV, Ethan Stecks, Jay Perry and Stan Perry, and two sisters, Doris Peters and Rose Bigelow.
Services were 2 p.m. Sunday February 15th at Lonoke United Methodist Church, with intermenty at Lonoke Cemetery. Family visitation was Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
