Opal B. Montgomery, 94, passed away August 4, 2002 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born July 16, 1908 in Fortsmith, Arkansas to Jim Bryant and Bertha "Brown".

Opal has lived in Lake Havasu for 6 years, moving to Arizona 31 years from Riverside, California.

She is survied by her sons Norman Montgomery of Meadview, Arizona, Jack Montgomery of Golden Valley, Arizona and Bob Montgomery of Oregon. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Cemetery in Riverside, California Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at 3:00 PM.

Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Donald Ray Williams, 67, passed away peacefully in Lake Havasu City, Arizona on August 4, 2002. He was born November 30, 1934 in Plainview, Texas to Paul Williams and Rozella "Hester" Lack.

Donald moved to Lake Havasu 1 year ago from Long Beach, California where he worked as an accountant for the City of Long Beach for 25 years. He was a proud veteran in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Donald was a member of the Lakewood First Baptist Church.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 39 years Nancy Williams of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; son Donald A. Williams of Long Beach, California; daughter Debra L. Stevens of Lake Havasu; mother Rozella Lack; sisters Betty and Peggy and 1 grandchild.

He was affectionately known as "the Pink Panther" to his many friends.

Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Winfred Elvin "Wink" Ralston died Saturday, July 5th, 2003 at Havasu Regional Medical Center. Wink was born in Camp Verde, Arizona, August 19th, 1917. Son of Roy and Izora Ralston, Wink lived and worked in Arizona for a majority of his life. He lived in Lake Havasu City, Az; these past 15 years, moving from Texas with his family. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, World War II, and served in the armed services in the Philippines.

Wink is survived by his close companion, Jennie Carson of Cottonwood and his son-in-law, Bob Borg, his grandsons, Mikel, Kit, and C.R.Borg, his great-grandchildren Ryan Mikel, Dylan Robert Borg and Emma Christie Borg all of Lake Havasu City, AZ. He and his wife had two children Winfred Elvin Ralston Jr. and Christie Lee Borg both who are deceased.

Wink's family was the most important part of his life. He spent his days living for his kids, grandsons, and great grandchildren, providing them with love, support, guidance throughout his days. To all who knew him, he was a quiet and reserved man that would treat you like family once he got to know you. Thus the calling Granddad was not reserved for just his grandsons and great grandchildren, for people that knew him well referred to him as just that "Granddad". He will be missed by no measurable means by his family and friends as he will have a place in their hearts forever.

Juanita B. McFarland born to Nellie and Eugene Ess in Leavenworth, Kansas January 19, 1904. She was raised as a "Blosser Girl" in Holton and Topeka, Kansas until she met and married Winfield S. Shehi. They had two children and lived in Topeka, Kansas and Wichita Falls, Texas until they divorced in 1932. Juanita passed away July 6, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

She then joined her mother and step-father in Seabrook, Texas. They then lived in the Clear Creek and Clear Lake area. She led the choir in Seabrook Methodist Church and shared her love of singing and music with many. On her step-father's passing, the family moved back to Wichita, Kansas.

She married Earl McFarland in 1943 and they moved to San Francisco, California where she was employed by Owl Drug as head cashier. When widowed she joined her mother and moved to Long Island, New York to be near her children and grandchildren. She was employed by the Times Square Stores till 1974 and a member of the Retail Clerks Union for over 40 years.

She was active in the Levittown Community Church and enjoyed being part of the kitchen crew. Mrs. Mac's breads were always popular at the bake sales. She moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 1985. She attended Mt. Olive Church and worked with their quilters for many years. She was active in Church Women United.

She is survived by her daughter Winifred Quaglio and son W. Scott Shehi (Maria) of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and 5 grandchildren, Diane Pelzer (Robert) of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Richard Quaglio, Robert Quaglio (Ellen), Randall Shehi and Christina Shehi all of New York and 5 great grandchildren, Aimee, Kristin and Robert Pelzer of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and Jennifer M. and Jennifer L. Quaglio of New York.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Havasu or the Mt. Olive Youth Fund.

A Memorial service will be held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church on Friday, July 11th, 2003 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Tom Dunham officiating and her cremated remains will be interred in Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka, Kansas.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Patricia B. Richmond, 90, passed away July 2, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born in Washington on April 18, 1913.

Patricia made Lake Havasu her home 3 years ago, moving here from Issaquah, Washington.

She is survived by her loving family, one son, Lloyd E. Richmond of Everett, Wash; two daughters, Gayle Richmond of Lake Havasu and Joan Richmond of Federal Way, Wash; sister, Betty Ilton of Eatonville, Wash; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Her husband Lloyd Richmond precedes her in death.

She will be forever missed by all who knew her.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Mildred Josephine James, resident of Lake Havasu City, Arizona died July 2, 2003 at age 93. She was born in Northwood, North Dakota on February 15, 1910, the daughter of Anna and Carl Gransberg.

Mildred graduated as Valedictorian of her class at the Northwood High School. She received her college education at the Mayville State University, Mayville, North Dakota and the University of North Dakota. She was an elementary school teacher for three years and later pursued the business field as a Credit Manager for the Aslesen Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

She was the wife of Dr. William J. James and lived in Bemidji, Minnesota until 1977 when they moved to Lake Havasu City.

While a resident of Bemidji, Minnesota, she was very active in her church and served on many church boards. She was a member of the Benevolent Patriotic Order of Does and held the office of local president of that organization and also served as their Minnesota State President. She was a member of the Eastern Star, a lifetime member of the National Congress of Parents and Teacher, a Past President of the Ladies Division of the Bemidji Town and Country Club, a past President o the Happy Niners Golf Association at the London Bridge Golf Club, Lake Havasu City, Arizona and a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Lake Havasu.

Surviving Mildred are two sons, David Quammen of Wayzata, Minn. and John K. Quammen of Lake Havasu City, Ariz; a step-son, Michael James of Phoenix, Ariz; a step-daughter, Sandra Oliverson of Houston, Tex; two granddaughters, Kirsten and Jennifer; three sisters, Ms. Joe Norman of Altadena, Calif, Ms. Robert Grissinger of Edina, Minn. and Ms. Charles Christianson of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and six step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William James, her parents, Mr. and Ms. Gransberg; two brothers, A.T. Gransberg and C.C. Gransberg of Billings, Mont; sisters Delihe Groth and Stella Brunsvold.

Memorials in her name will go to Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2170 Havasupai Blvd., Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86403.

Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements with burial of her remains at the Mount Olive Lutheran Church Columbarium beside her husband, Dr. W.J. James.
