Diane Marie Spitzer, 46, of Lake Havasu City, died on August 17th, 2002 in Parker, Arizona.

She moved to Lake Havasu City in 1983 from Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Diane worked at many local places including Today's News-Herald, Good Neighbor Shopper, The White Sheet and Paradise Cafe.

Diane is survived by her daughter Amy Spitzer 19, of Lake Havasu City and Phoenix; her mother Anna Capp of Plains, PA; her brother Michael Capp of McKees Rocks, PA; her sisters Dolores Myers of Semionte, FL; Annette Capp of New Hope, NJ; Nancy Sharon of Plains, PA; and lots of friends who loved her for her kind spirit and her givings ways. She will be greatly missed.

Donations for her daughter Amy can be made at any Wells Fargo Bank under an account established by Paradise Cafe for the benefit of Amy Spitzer.

Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Jake Frederick Mack, 84, passed away August 19, 2002 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born March 11, 1918 in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Jake was a resident of Portland and Pendleton, Oregon for 14 years, moving to Lake Havasu 23 years ago from Tracy, California. He worked for the Defense Supply Agency for the US Government, packing medical supplies and other needed supplies for the military. He was an employee for them 12 years in Tracy, California.

Mr. Mack was a proud veteran in US Air Force serving during both WWII and the Korean Conflict. After serving in the Air Force, he continued serving his country in the Air National Guard in Portland, Oregon.

He has been a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the DAV and the NARFE.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Mary J. Mack of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; son Howard J. Mack also of Lake Havasu; daughters Ruth Emma Leitzell of Bullhead City, Arizona and Cynthia Susan Bidwell of Santa Rosa, California; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Thursday, August 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 23rd, 10:00 AM at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Larry Lundin officiating. Interment will be held at Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland, Oregon.

Robert James Benson Sr., 73, passed away peacefully at his home in Lake Havasu City, Az. He was born on May 20th, 1929 in Detroit, MI.

Robert worked as a Real Estate Agent,manager for Lincoln Realty in Orange, CA. for 20 years. He was a member of the B.P.O.E., Eagles Lodge, Bob Jones University Multi-Million Dollar Club.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Jackie Benson of Lake Havasu City, Az., sons Robert James Benson Jr. of Anaheim Hills, CA., Ronald Dean Chew of West Chester, OH., daughters Christine Morgan of Greenwood, SC., Judith Bennett of Midland, TX., Barbara Vieira of Dublin, CA., Sheryl Lynn Kimberley of Smithville, VA., brother William David Benson of Twainhart, CA., sister Ruth Bonita Austin of Ocal, FL., 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Ray Floyd Benson III, brother Ray Floyd Benson Jr., and sister Martha Benson Hall.

Donations may be made to Hospice of Havasu.

Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Georgia Gray Hand, 88, passed away on August 15th, 2002 at Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, Az.

She was born on December 2lst, 1913 in Yukon, OK. Georgia owned Allen Candy Co. in Albuquerque, NM., for 33 years. Georgia was a resident of Albuquerque, NM from 1949 to 1998.

She is survived by her brother Thomas Gray of Guthrie, OK., sister Rose Ella Hilburn of Guthrie, OK., nephews, Alvin Lee Graves and Don Hilburn both of Guthrie, OK., nieces Julia Hensley of Lake Havasu City, Az., Rose Sears of Glencoe, OK., and Marcia Barker of Guthrie, OK. She is preceded in death by husbands George G. Allen who passed away in March of 1969 and J.P. Hand who passed away in July of 1997.

Dr. Michael Bassil, 66, passed away at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona on August 14, 2002. He was born on July 27, 1936 in Poughkeepsie, New York, son of the late Michael and Minnie Bassil.

Dr. Bassil had been a resident of Lake Havasu for 6 years.

He is survived by his sister, Maylin Romanelli of Fishkill, New York; a nepew, Dr. Vincent Romanelli of Chicago, Illinois; nieces Sandy Ticehurst of Lavalette, New Jersey, Robin Ballo of Unadilla, New York, Lisa Romanelli of Bronksville, New York and Gail Archer of Brookfield, Connecticut.

A memorial service will be held Monday, August 19, 2002, 4:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Dorothy Agnes Thibodeau, 71, passed away at her residence in Lake Havasu City, Az. on August l3, 2002. She was born on April 16, 1931 in Detroit, MI.

She is survived by her sons Michael, Gregory, Patrick, Jeffrey, daughters; Jennifer, Carla, Juliana, Rebecca; brother James McHarg, sister; Jo Beauchamp and 10 grandchildren.

Services will be in Michigan and burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, MI.

Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

William Louis De Mase, 75, passed away peacefully at his home in Lake Havasu City, Az. He was born on February 3rd, 1927 in Ellwood City, PA.

William owned a liquor store in Whittier, CA. for 29 years. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy, WWII and our V.F.W. Post #9401 will be performing Military Honors at his service.

He is survived by his brother Rocco De Mase of Lake Havas City, Az. an Uncle and Aunt in Ohio, Uncle in Lake Havasu City, Az. and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 20,2002 at the Lietz-Fraze Chapel with Deacon Tom DeFilippis officiating.
