Francis "Bill" William Scheible of Lake Havasu, Arizona was called by God to work in his craft shop on July 28, 2002. He was born November 27, 1922 in the "Motor City", Detroit, Michigan to Frank Joseph Scheible and Ada Dumas Scheible.
Bill was a graduate of Henry Ford Trade School and began his employment at Ford Motor Company, Highland Park, Michigan, as an engineer in 1937.
Bill married Marjorie L. Robinson on August 29, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan. Their marriage was interrupted by the international events of World War II. On January 19, 1943, Bill was inducted into the United States Army-Air Force, trained as a radio operator, promoted to sergeant and placed in charge of Battery D, 568th Anti-Aircraft Artillery AW Battalion (40th Mobile Communication Squadron) stationed in England. He participated in the invasion of Europe beginning at the beaches of Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was awarded the American Theatre Ribbon, Europe and Mid-Europe (EAME) Theater Ribbon with four Bronze Stars, the Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Award and the Victory WWII Medal.
On December 19, 1960, Marjorie L. Scheible passed away after a brief illness leaving Bill with their minor daughter, Rene L. Scheible.
Bill met and married the former Ann J. Buss in June, 1963, and immediately expanded his family, acquiring four additional daughters: Patricia "Pat" (Buss) Theisen, Carole (Buss) Sampson, Charlene (Buss) Ebert and Kathleen (Buss) Heidenrich. Ann and Bill lived in Birmingham, Michigan.
Bill worked as an engineer at Ford Motor Company and retired after 32 years. In June 1975, he followed his dream and moved to Arizona. Lake Havasu captured his heart. Together with Ann, they immersed themselves in the Gem and Mineral Society, enjoying their many explorations of the surrounding mountains and mining camps. As Bill expanded his interest of the Southwest, he began the precision lapidary and silversmith skills making unique and ornate rings, belt buckles, earrings and necklaces for his family and friends. He expanded his meticulous work to include stained glass, crafting over fifty tiffany-style stained glass hanging lamps, shades, tissue boxes and ornate window hangings, including a stained glass window, birds, butterflies and other animals adorning the family windows. Intrigued with stained glass, Bill accepted more challenging projects. His prize possessions include a stained glass train engine, bi-plane, Conestoga covered wagon and a life-like image of Mickey Mouse.
Bill and Ann were married for 29 years. Sadly, Ann passed away in 1992.
Bill met Linda Baugh and soon thereafter married. Once again, Bill's family expanded to include two sons: Paul, Matthew and a daughter, Summer.
Bill was preceded in by his parents, two brothers: Charles "Chuck" Scheible of Mesa, Arizona and Bernard "Bunny" Scheilbe of Highland, Michigan and one sister: Mildred Spinner of Bloomfield, Michigan. He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Linda Baugh Scheible of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; his sister, Leona Heinze of Berkely, Michigan; his daughters: Rene Scheible Stanowski, Patricia Theisen, Carole Sampson, Charlene Ebert and Kathleen Heidenrich of Michigan, and Summer Mechling of Troy, Idaho; sons: Paul Baugh of Lake Havasu City and Matthew Baugh of Post Falls, Idaho; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Bill will always be remembered for being a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and a friend to his neighbors and acquaintances. Bill enjoyed helping his neighbors and friends in whatever capacity they needed. He greeted each person with an infectious smile and sparkle in his eyes that imparted a warm-hearted feeling that is so characteristic of the Southwest. If you did not feel right at home immediately, you soon felt the warm feeling exude from his musical selection that he loved to play each day: instrumental music and sounds of the Southwest and Latin America. He was witty and wise for his years, always sharing his thoughts, opinions and suggestions. He was an accomplished gardener and forester who captured the heart and spirit of Arizona. Bill and Linda adorned their property with citrus trees and thirty varieties of cactus plants. They have a bottle-brush tree that is a well known site to many residents and visitors.
The family will be holding a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to be made in Bill's name to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597 Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86405.
A full military honors memorial service will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery
in Southfield, Michigan, where he will be interred.

Maxine Jones Kennedy, 93, passed away peacefully July 27, 2002 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born March 17, 1909 in Frankston, Texas to Edgar Jones and Margret "Killian".
Maxine moved to Arizona 22 years ago, a resident of Lake Havasu for 10 years from Louisville, Kentucky.
She is survived by her daughter Melissa Kennedy of Lake Havasu, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren

William "Bill" Elvin Raymard, passed away peacefully at his home on July 21, 2002. Bill was born in Jackson, Missouri January 25, 1936 to Truman Raynard and Evangelin Chase. Bill was an only child.
He served in the Korean War with honors. He was a man of all trades including a truck driver, a mechanic, a carpenter, a construction worker, a father, a friend and did volunteer work for the community. He loved animals, fishing, the outdoors, motorcycles, keeping busy with many hobbies, dining out and enjoyed home life. Bill was a hard working, very generous, kind hearted man.
He will be sadly missed by all that shared his life including his daughter Windy Day Runnels; grandchildren Kevin C. Kurtz and Jennifer C. Kurtz; great grandchild William B. Raynard II and fiance Julie Wagner. "You have inspired all of our lives, Bill and will be dearly missed.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 27, 2002, 10:00 am at Lietz-Fraze Chapel with family and friends officiating.

Burness "Bernie" Kirk, 87, passed away July 23, 2002 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born April 18, 1915 in Vincennes, Indiana to Percy & Myrtle "Dicus" Kirk.
Bernie moved to Lake Havasu 16 years ago from Rancho Cucamonga, CA. He worked as a machinist for Kaiser Steel in Fontana, CA for 15 years.
Mr. Kirk is survived by his son Bernie P. Kirk of Port St. Lucie, Florida; daughter Donna B. Chavez of Lake Havasu City, AZ; sister-in-law Violet Nolan of Waterford, MI; grandchildren David Kirk Lyons, Margaret Ann Krick, Lisa Bernice Taylor, Vickie Kirk and Billie Beaton and 13 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Annie who passed away in 1989.
A visitation will be held Sunday, July 28, 2002 from 6 to 8 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Graveside services will be Monday, July 29, 2002, 9:00 AM at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Richard Rounds officiating. Burial will follow.

John Wortham Lofton, 78, passed away peacefully in his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona on July 24th, 2002. He was born on January 4th, 1924 in Tioga, Louisana to Walter Lofton and Ida "Hale" Lofton.
John worked as a framer for La Casa Framing in Lake Havasu City, Arizona for 9 years. He moved to Lake Havasu City 25 years ago from Altadena, California. He also was a proud veteran of the US Navy in WW II as a Aviation Ordnanceman Third Class and is a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church.
John is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Pauline Lofton of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, sons Ron Lofton of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Mike Lofton of Durango, Colorado, Steve Lofton of Monrovia, California, Bob Lofton of Phoenix, Arizona, sister Ruby June Whitworth of San Antonio, Texas and 7 grandchildren.

Charles Leo Valona, 79, passed away July 18, 2002 at the VA Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. He was born February 17, 1923 in Los Angeles, CA to Leo & Guadalupe "Jaquez" Valona.
Charles moved to Lake Havasu 15 years ago from Hacienda Heights, CA. He was a machinist for the L.A. Times in Los Angeles for 12 years. He was a proud US Navy veteran during WWII. Mr. Valona was a lifetime member of the following organizations; D.A.V., V.F.W. and the Elks. He was also a member of the Marine Corps League and the American Legion.
He is survived by his companion Wanda Ewing of Lake Havasu; sons Joseph Valona of Costa Mesa, CA and Charles Valona and his wife Karen of Redding, CA; daughter Linda Carlson and her husband Phil of Victorville, CA; sister Carmen Herrera of Lakewood, CA; grandchildren Michelle, Michael, Andrew, Daniel, Amanda E. & Joseph F. and six nieces.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2002 from 6 to 8 pm at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 25, 2002 at 10:00 AM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Burial to follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
